Not on Carnival again
by A Traveler from Washington
Sailing date:
Dec 2012
Pros:
The ports
Cons:
Small ship, poor planning for food court and other areas.
I have been on many cruises but this ship was poorly designed. It had too many crowded areas. The massage rooms were next to the kids zone so all I heard was balls bouncing on the walls during my massage. Also there were many childern on the ship that were not supervised at anytime. They took over the hot tubs pools and buffet lines.

Dining/Food
two long buffet lines for the meals. You could not get fruit without waiting in the whole line. The dining room was worth it, the food was wonderful.
Stateroom Quality
No refrigerator. Very small rooms. Tv had mostly spanish speaking channels.
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & Activities
Not very many choices. The comedians were good but they only had about 25 people show up to watch.

Great cruise

Great stops! Fun ship with enough to do. The decor was a little older and the ship was a bit confusing to get around sometimes due to the layout. Overall great time!

Great for people who drink/party
by A Traveler from Knoxville, TN
Sailing date:
Jun 2012
The ship itself was pretty nice. It was our first cruise, so we didn't really know what to expect, but we had a nice time overall. The food started out very good but declined in quality over the week. The shows didn't really appeal to us, and the incessant reminders about what was going on each day were annoying, but we enjoyed the comedy shows. The staff, while there may have been a slight language barrier at times, were generally very friendly and helpful. Our biggest complaint was the constant emphasis on dancing/partying/drinking, but we also figured that would be the case after reading several reviews before sailing. In the end, we were able to find quiet spots to relax, read our books, and take in the soothing scenes of the Southern Caribbean. If you enjoy dancing, partying, drinking, or any combination of the three, you'll enjoy the Carnival Victory. It definitely lived up to the "Fun Ship" name they advertised. If you're looking for a quiet, soothing experience while on the ship, you should probably look elsewhere.

The alcohol protected Cruise
by A Traveler from california
Sailing date:
Jun 2012
Pros:
food, service and entertainment
Cons:
The ridiculous income protection of the cruise ship, which would not allow an open container of beer onboard!
The ship is old and it needs updating. The drink pushing "upon your face" is very distutbing. The service was excelelnt and the food was very good. The security was good also.

Pros:
Cleaniness and Service staff were superb
Cons:
Food was disappointing in quality, It didn't live up to what I'd heard.
Victory is an older ship. Dated look and worn feel. I had a great time nonetheless and really enjoyed the ports of call.
