The drunks on board!

This was strickly a party cruise ship, they pushed alcohol from the time you got on till the time you left. The drunks dry humping each other in front of everyone was too much. The movies sucked (documentaries of Elvis, really? Go to Redbox Carnival!), the shows were second rate and the clubs were lame. The cruisers were rude and this is not a family cruise, I didn't take my kids and glad I didn't.

Our sheets weren't changed from the previous cruise, we had to call room service. The staff was wonderful.

Dining/Food

Food was average and there was plenty of it but the dining experience was awful, thing mall food court on a Saturday afternoon but free food. So many people and such long lines.

Stateroom Quality

Like I said, sheets were dirty when we arrived.

Ship Staff Quality

The staff was awesome, considering the people they had to put up with.

Fun Times on Triumph by J Everett from Dallas, TX

Pros:

Great ship and well maintained. Little details like the quality of cabinets in the room were the only thing that really set the room apart from other ships.

Only went to dinner once and my lasagna wasn't good and neither was whatever my wife got. Of course the waiter told me it wasn't so I don't know if it was my fault for not listening or if it was their's for not knowing how to make a simple dish. The buffets were awesome though with a nice variety and always fresh. The sushi on the buffet was better than I get locally!

A wonderful vacation!! by Megan F from Washington, DC

Pros:

The ship really has everything you could possibly want to really have a great vacation...there are plenty of bars to enjoy great drinks in, a casino, a huge theater to watch the AMAZING shows in (really, the shows are great!), a piano bar, great spa, the list just goes on and on!

Cons:

I wish they had bigger pools. There are 2 pools and they are both pretty tiny and get full of kids QUICK.

The cruise was a blast! The time was perfect-too many more days and we would have ran out of things to do or gotten bored. The food was great. The service was spot on-we loved our room guy, Ali, and LOVED our waiter! We looked forward to seeing them around the ship.

My first cruise and I loved it! by A Traveler from San Antonio, TX

wonderful staff! Loved Cozumel!

Cons:

progresso

This was my first cruise. After my first day I already wanted to book my second! I enjoyed every moment of it. All of the staff was kind and entertaining. The only downside was progresso/merida. As soon as you get off the shuttle you are bombarded with people trying to sell you something. However if you know how to haggle you can get great deals!

Excellent value, lots of fun by Ben S from Denver CO

Extra charges for everything

For a budget cruise, everything was high quality. Rooms were bigger than I expected, lots of free ice cream. However, too many things required extra charges, which wasn't a lot of money but was annoying to have to deal with.

First Cruise!!! by Anthony M from Texas

The organization of the boat with loading and unloading passengers

Cons:

Expensive Drinks

I had no complaints! We had a balcony room on the 10th floor and I must say that the staff did an EXCELLENT job keeping it nice and clean a couple of times a day. You will NEVER get that at any hotel no matter how many star ratings.

The entire staff in my opinion did an EXCELLENT job. I had no complaints in that department.

The port layover should have been a little long but it was only a five day cruise.

Very nice. People were great. Ships crew very helpful when needed. Our steward was excellent!

The food was bad and the service.

I was not impressed with the Carnival Triumph. It started off, that we boarded really late. We were suppose to board the ship between 12:30 - 2:30 but wasn't able to board until about 6:30 at night. I understand that we had fog so that wasn't as big of a deal. When we got on the ship we were suppose to be upgraded and we were not. We also were suppose to have 6:15 dinner and when we got on the ship they had scheduled us for the 8:15 dinner. I have been on a few other cruises and the big thing is you always gain at least 10lbs because the food is amazing. With this cruise the food wasn't. In fact, more food was not eaten at our table then was. The entertainment wasn't that great and we talked to many of the workers and they said they didn't like working for the cruise ship. That breaks my heart. I hope that the Triumph makes improvements and fast or they will have issues for sure.

The cruise ship itself was in good condition.

Dining/Food

We were given the wrong dining time and our servers were not happy to be there. They didn't interact with us. The other cruises I have been on the servers were very interactive and really worked to get an amazing tip. We have always adjusted our tip up but this time I felt like adjusting our tip down. The food quality was not good. Over cooked and some didn't even seem fresh.

Our stateroom was small but doable. The decor was fine.

Everyone we talked to was not happy to be working for carnival. Sad really.

There wasn't too many activities to do. In fact we were bored.

live music, big shows, show band

Cons:

crowded adult comedy shows, not enough live music around the pool, big screen TV is a big bust

Cigarette, and especially cigar, smoke smell is still a problem in several places. I would like to see a more festive atmosphere around the pool area; the area is absolutely dead while movies are playing on the giant TV.

this was our first time in an interior cabin; it's definitely worth a bit extra to book the oceanview.

The accomodations, friendly staff, and the excursion we went on

last couple nights we had bad service in the London dining room, too many people to enjoy the hot tub or pools

Overall I had a great time and I would definitely do it again. It was a lot of fun and the ship was very accomodating and service was excellent.

The ship was in great shape. The staff did a fantastic job of keeping the ship in tip top shape and looking new! There was a hot tub that was out of service though but it was not a show stopper.

The food was very good and I ate WAY too much!!

The rooms were very nice and I do not have any complaints about the room.

Ship Staff Quality

The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Never any incidents where they went above and beyond though.

Entertainment & Activities

I like the shows except the musicals, they are a bit ridiculous. The comedy shows were excellent and so was the magic show. Cut out the musicals and hire more comedians so the one comedy show won't be so packed.
