Fun Times on Triumph
by J Everett from Dallas, TX
Sailing date:

Pros:
Balcony, People, Food, Ship
Great ship and well maintained. Little details like the quality of cabinets in the room were the only thing that really set the room apart from other ships.

Dining/Food
Only went to dinner once and my lasagna wasn't good and neither was whatever my wife got. Of course the waiter told me it wasn't so I don't know if it was my fault for not listening or if it was their's for not knowing how to make a simple dish. The buffets were awesome though with a nice variety and always fresh. The sushi on the buffet was better than I get locally!

A wonderful vacation!!
by Megan F from Washington, DC
Sailing date:
Apr 2012
Pros:
The ship really has everything you could possibly want to really have a great vacation...there are plenty of bars to enjoy great drinks in, a casino, a huge theater to watch the AMAZING shows in (really, the shows are great!), a piano bar, great spa, the list just goes on and on!
Cons:
I wish they had bigger pools. There are 2 pools and they are both pretty tiny and get full of kids QUICK.
The cruise was a blast! The time was perfect-too many more days and we would have ran out of things to do or gotten bored. The food was great. The service was spot on-we loved our room guy, Ali, and LOVED our waiter! We looked forward to seeing them around the ship.

Excellent value, lots of fun
by Ben S from Denver CO
Sailing date:
Mar 2012
Pros:
Friendly staff
Cons:
Extra charges for everything
For a budget cruise, everything was high quality. Rooms were bigger than I expected, lots of free ice cream. However, too many things required extra charges, which wasn't a lot of money but was annoying to have to deal with.

A Wonderful Cruise
by Robert D from Silverthorne, CO
Sailing date:
May 2011
Pros:
We enjoyed the stop in Mohogany Bay, Roatan.
Cons:
The stop in the port for Belize
We took the cruise on the Carnival Triumph and had a blast. We loved all of the activities for the kids to do. The shows were excellent and the food was great. We would LOVE to take this cruise again. The stop in Belize was not as nice as the other stops in Roatan, Honduras and Cozumel. Belize was definately developing and not as nice for walking around as the others.

Ship Quality
Ship was great! All of the staff and shops were excellent!
Dining/Food
The food was good. The dining rooms were excellent and the wait staff were the best.
Stateroom Quality
We had a 5 person room and found that it was a good size. We had a 3 adults and 2 small children in our group and had plenty of room. would definately do this room type again. We also had a window in our room with an ocean view witch was a nice bonus.
Ship Staff Quality
All of the staff on the ship were EXCELLENT!
Entertainment & Activities
All were great.
Children's Programs
All of the kids activities were great. Our kids are 7 and 4 and were excited to go to the kids activities. This was nice because then the adults were able to do things without them.

We went on an excursion in Belize to the Altun Ha Mayan Ruins. We had a nice time walking around the ruins and our guids were great. We booked through Orbitz and would highly recomend. They even had ice cold bottles of water on the bus for everyone free. Driving through the city though was a shock. Belize is very poor and not very nice to see. We also found that outside of the port shops that the locals selling goods were pushy.

Cozumel, Mexico
We had a nice time walking and shopping at all of the shops. The weather was perfect and the restaurant we wnt to at the port was excellent.
Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
We went on an excursion to the iguana park, monkey and bird park. We all loved being able to see all of the iguanas free and touch them. We were also able to feed them. At the monkey park we loved being able to hold the young monkeys and birds too. Our guides also offered to take us to a private beach club. We paid $10 a person but were able to go into the ocean, use the pools that had showers to rinse off and nice bathrooms. There was also a nice restaurant with a beautiful view and good food. We would love to go back to Roatan for a longer vacation!
Don't Miss:

A Wonderful Cruise!
by Cheryl H. from Connellsville, PA
Sailing date:
Apr 2011
Pros:
Stateroom and Service
Cons:
No Complaints
Our cruise to Mexico on the Triumph was great! The food was good. The service outstanding! Our stateroom was perfect. We sailed on a different cruise line a few years ago and the our stateroom was like a large closet. The Triumph stateroom was perfect in everyway. We had a wonderful time and would not change a thing!

I loved my cruise.
by Trish B. from Minneapolis, MN
Sailing date:
Dec 2010
Pros:
The entire staff was exceptional in every way and very friendly.
Cons:
As a non-smoker with health issues, I was restricted from some areas and activities because of 2nd hand smoke.
The ship was beautiful and festively decorated for the holiday (Christmas). The activity rooms were very attractive and comfortable. I enjoyed riding in the glass elevators just for the stunning views.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The ship was spotless: very clean. Accessibility was difficult at first, but became easier with practice navigating through to dining and activity rooms from the front to the back of the ship.
Dining/Food
The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Something to eat was always available somewhere. The restaurants were stunning in appearance.
Stateroom Quality
I really enjoyed my room. It was maintained to perfection. I was a bit chilly, though, on a winter cruise.
Ship Staff Quality
The very friendly staff was entirely accomodating. I was delighted with the extra touches with the evening turn-down service. Everything was kept clean. The dining staff performed at dinner -- guests seemed to enjoy this very much.
Entertainment & Activities
There was an excellent variety of fun activities. I was very impressed with the way people were brought together on my cruise.

My shore excursion was cancelled due to weather conditions. I enjoyed walking through the town in the warm sunshine. There is lovely public art along the beach boardwalk. Many shopping opportunities were present and the people were generally pleasant. Horse carts and people-powered transportation was easily acquired.
Don't Miss:
People enjoyed their shore excursions.
Progreso (Merida), Mexico
I had fun in Progreso. I took the free shuttle into the little town, shopped at the market and specialty shops, and walked along the beach boardwalk. I didn't take the double-deck bus tour, but that was available. Restaurants and refreshment venues were lined along the beach.
Don't Miss:
Folk crafts can be gotten for a very reasonable price.

The fabulous Triumph on Carnival
by Amy A from Garland, TX
Sailing date:
Aug 2010
Pros:
The staff on board
Cons:
Progreso
The Triumph is a gorgeous ship with an incredible crew aboard. Immediately, they learn your name and figure out exactly what they can do to make your cruise absolutely the most fun. Don't be surprised if they are calling you by name on day two, that's just how intent they are on remembering you and accommodating your needs. The excursions are great, but I would highly recommend making Progreso your educational stop, with the Mayan Ruins on your list of must sees. Saving Cozumel for your beach and party stop is a wise choice, in my opinion. Although, no matter which you decide, you're destined to have fun if you take the Guest Services advice aboard the Triumph. This staff is honestly amazing!

You never feel crowded, but it isn't so overwhelming that you cannot find your way around.
Dining/Food
Don't miss formal dining...especially their famous Warm Chocolate Cake dessert.
Stateroom Quality
Beautiful room with an oceanview. Much nicer than my previous cruise aboard the Ecstasy.
Ship Staff Quality
Incredible, helpful, attentive and fun!
Entertainment & Activities
If given the opportunity, do not miss the magic show or the towel buddy folding instruction.
Children's Programs
Age appropriate fun was absolutely their goal. I took 3 children and none of them were ever bored, they made lots of friends and had an amazing time.

Taking a cab into town is often the best way to go. The excursions are often shorter in time and more costly. We went to Mr Sanchos Beach, which had an all inclusive bracelet for liquor as well as food. There is a activiity bracelet available for purchase as well for in the water trampolines, iceberg climbing, etc. They have massages and a pool. There are also cabanas with a large bed for relaxing and napping. Hammocks can be rented or purchased to take home. Relax and enjoy this tucked away beach that locals prefer.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico
Must see the Mayan ruins, one of the wonders of the world. Skip the beach, it's not as clean as Cozumel. Stay nearby the port and shop. The little bar that serves beer before boarding the shuttles to town is fun, fun, fun. They give you free shots of tequila every so often while you watch a crazy staff dance on the bar and serve drinks. Too much fun to miss!
