Great balance.
by Holly from Washington, DC
Sailing date:
Jul 2006
Pros:
We particulary enjoyed the indoor pool area -- still enjoyed the sun and ocean views, but didn't have the high winds or kids belly flop contest to interfere with justs relaxing! And, they had a crepe and panini station poolside!
The cruise was a great balance of activities to do if you wanted them, or lots of quite time at the pool if you just wanted to relax. A great balance of days at port (very interesting ports -- the main reason we took this cruise) and days at sea. A great balance of casual/formal dining options. Staff seemed to have a great balance of being there to serve you, but staying out of your way and not bothering you either.

Great Family Adventure!
by A Traveler from Living Overseas
Sailing date:
Jun 2012
Pros:
Port calls, crew, activities for children, service, food.
Cons:
Size of the ship.
Cruised with a family of four. It was a great vacation. Port calls make all the difference too. It was a lot sightseeing for two kids in a 7 day period, but all worth it. Kids loved the kids center (Adventure Ocean) and wanted to go every day. Fortunately the staff was wonderful. The ship is getting old and there are many more RCCL ships with more to offer, but again the itinerary makes the difference. Dubrovnik and Mykonos were our favorite stops. Food was great too. Gets a little busy in the Windjammer at times, but with food available 20 hours a day, you never went hungry. In addition, we traveled with another family and was able to sit at dinner with them each night. The wait staff took great care of the children. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the eastern med.

Ship Quality
As I stated previously, ship is getting old and small, but still very clean and updated. Could be a positive as there is not as many people on board.
Dining/Food
Meals were all great...wine...desserts.
Stateroom Quality
Stayed in a balcony room in the back of the ship. View was wonderful, porch was a good size, but being in the back/aft the room did shake/vibrate more than if you stayed midships.
Ship Staff Quality
Room always clean and ready for the day or night. Wait staff "over" feed us at dinner each night.
Entertainment & Activities
For such a small ship they do a very good job. Bars are great, nice decor. Drinks were good too. Again, best Eastern Med itinerary.
Children's Programs
Adventure Ocean is great. Gave us a break from the kids and never felt nervous about leaving them.

Our 33rd wedding anniversary was blessed
by Colonel B from Linville, NC
Sailing date:
Oct 2011
Pros:
Food and piano bar, Mr. Boles, he was off the charts fun and so talented! I liked our room too! We were upgraded to a very nice ocean view room.
Cons:
Late dining was weak.
Our steward was great as was our waiter. The food was wonderful. We enjoyed the entertainment and the staff was young and fun. The cruise director was wonderful. We were first time cruisers and have been won over! We will do this again and the sooner the better. Mr Boles in the piano bar was wonderful and blessed our group greatly. He is so talented and fun we went to see him every night.

make sure you take a bus to one of the other beaches. The beaches on the other side of the island are beautiful.
Don't Miss:
beaches on the other side of the island
Piraeus (Athens), Greece
Split, Croatia
take the ferry to the other islands. That is where the world class beaches are, but it is not an option on the ship sponsored getaways.

Do NOT take a cruise if you want to rela
by Hunters from Tomball, TX
Sailing date:
Apr 2007
My husband and I were on our 11 year anniversary and were very displeased to see kids running EVERYWHERE!! We went to relax but they were running up and down the hallways, in the casino's, bars and even in the ADULT ONLY shows!! It was sickening!! Next time I want to get away for a relaxing weekend, I will not be taking a cruise.

Nice, but not not much for young couples
by Nicole from Morgantown, WV
Sailing date:
Mar 2007
Pros:
The food and service.
I was a little disappointed in the lack of adult entertainment. Most of the events on the boat were family oriented and durning the end of the evening, there wasn't much to do except the casino and an overcrowed lounge.
