Relaxing & Informative!
by Sondra B. from Fredonia, AZ
Sailing date:
Aug 2012
Pros:
the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff
Cons:
feeling a little like herded cattle - although I suppose it's to be expected with so many guests in one place :)
The Radiance of the Seas was beautiful! It had nearly every accomodation you could ask for & everything was within a short walking distance (even if you took the stairs instead of one of the 7 elevators). The staff was warm & welcoming - everything was planned & prepared like magic! A wonderful, relaxing experience. We look forward to going on another cruise!

Ship Quality
Artwork was everywhere: stairways, hallways, staterooms, dining rooms, everywhere! There was even an art auciton.
Dining/Food
There was food available somewhere on the ship during all waking hours (& hours when most guests were sleeping). Lots of variety to choose from!
Stateroom Quality
Everything we needed.

A Fabulous Midsize Ocean Liner
by Tony G from Tampa Fla
Sailing date:
Apr 2011
Pros:
Everything
Cons:
Nothing - this was a perfect experience
What a fantastic - beautifully maintained ship. The rooms are nicely done and offer a great deal of storage. The ship employees are among the best of any line I have traveled with. Super clean vessel with lots and lots to offer.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
One of the best designed midsize ships - Even at SOLD OUT of about 2500 passengers - this ship never appeared to be crowed. Lots of fun spaces and just as many quiet spaces.
Dining/Food
Great choices and many choices. Also the fact that you could have your dinner from the dining room served in your stateroom was a great plus.
Stateroom Quality
Cozy yet flawless. The storage is amazing.
Ship Staff Quality
The best ever.
Entertainment & Activities
Very nice, and many options.

Great sleepy village like place - with a great cruise port activity center - complete with dolphin swim choices. Not over run and ruined by two much commercial marketing. Very relaxing.
Don't Miss:
Bike ride to the Broadwalk and Nationale Beach Club.
Cozumel, Mexico
Great port with lots of choices and very friendly people.
Don't Miss:

Radiance Cruise
by Douglas E from Racine, Wisconsin
Sailing date:
Mar 2011
Pros:
The excellent service and friendly mood. Sometimes you don't have both on vacation.
Cons:
People smoking on balcony next to you. We don't smoke. The coffee was not the best.
There was one mix-up. I'm not certain if it happened through Orbitz or through Royal Carribbean. My wife and I were travelling with another couple in the stateroom next to us. I booked the cruise for both of us and made it clear to the booking agent that we were travelling together. We were not seated at the same table for dinner and our departure groups and time were different. We of course had this corrected in both cases and the staff was very accomodating, but this should not have happened when I stated we were traveling together. This was the first cruise for my wife and I. It was a wonderful first cruise experience. We really were not sure what to expect. The service and friendly atmosphere that the staff at Royal Carribbean gave to my wife and I was outstanding. When we look for a cruise in the future we will look to Royal Carribbean first before looking at other cruise lines.

Ship Quality
I cannot imagine any of this being any better.
Dining/Food
Outstanding. I miss our waiter already.
Stateroom Quality
Perfect again!
Ship Staff Quality
The entertainmet staff was superior! It felt like this was their one and only cruise this year and they were enjoying it as much as we were. I didn't inquire how long they had been on the ship but it is amazing to us how friendly almost everyone was on the ship.
Entertainment & Activities
With the exception of the adult comedian show (which did not require the f-word in every other sentence) the other shows were great. The comedian show was much funnier earlier in the week when it was for all ages. People laughed more and did not walk out. It took away a little bit of the perfect experience that we had.
Children's Programs
The pirate skit that the liitle kids did at the beginning of one of the shows was very cute. Although we were not travelling with our kids (18 & 21) my wife and I enjoyed watching how much fun the other kids were having on the ship. Great job.

First time zip lining. Very warm day. Rough road to the site. Poverty everywhere. Not an up-lifting experience. The ziplining experience was great. Very careful and friendly staff. We may recommend this trip with some slight reservations.

Cozumel, Mexico
We toured the Amazing Secret River which is a cave tour that involves wading and swimming through portions of the cave which are 12 feet deep. All other cave tours will pale in comparison to this tour. We will never forget this experience. The ferry boat ride was horrible. A couple dozen people vomitted around us. We think the shot of anice liquor after our cave tour kept us from getting sick.

I was only there one day but even though the weather did not cooperate, we manged to still enjoy the beach. The shopping was Ok, not great. The agressiveness of the shop clerks gets to be annoying after awhile and turns you away from wanting to shop.

Best cruise vacation ever
by Tim S. from Salida CA
Sailing date:
Oct 2009
Pros:
We were treated like royalty, all of the crew treated us like we were VIP's
Cons:
When it ended.
It has been quite a while since I have taken a cruise, but it seemed as if the whole process of boarding the ship and leaving the ship was much more streamlined and simple. We loved the way we were treated and all of the activities on the ship. We are already starting to plan our next cruise, the only problem is deciding what cruise to choose.

I sailed on the Radiance of the Seas
by A Traveler from Pueblo, Co.
Sailing date:
Oct 2009
Pros:
The ship was so clean and beautiful. It was my first cruise and I was amazed at the wonderful food and all the handy bars. Loved everything about it.
Cons:
Can't think of a thing I didn't like except the little bit of water on the floor from the shower and it was managable.
We had a group of seventeen people on our cruise. It was my first cruise and I was surprised at the size of the rooms. I roomed with my sister-in-law and we had plenty of room to move around. We had a balcony , which is the best way to go as for me. Loved watching the ship come into and away from docks. The ship was beautiful and very clean. Food was fantastic and service great. It was so fun going to our room at night and finding the cute animals made from towels. I would recommend this cruise line to any of my friends.

What an experience. Great!
by Arturo F. from Los Angeles, CA
Sailing date:
Aug 2009
Pros:
The cruise, our first, went far beyond our expectations. The crew and staff were exceptionally organized, courteous, helpful and competent.
Cons:
The connection to our hotel after the last excursion was poorly executed and not as described.
The cruise, our first, far exceeded our expectations. There was no part that wasn't up with the best service ever received. From the convenient boarding, the stateroom accommodations and service, the varieties of food and service, the cleanlinmess of the all parts of the ship, the locations we stopped at, the excursions and the coutesies of all staff members made this a most memorable experience.
Ship Details:

Our overall imoressions say it all.
Dining/Food
The quality and different types of food experiences offered all eating desires, whether a snak, a casual meal, a formal meal or just coffee.
Stateroom Quality
Our stateroom our home for a week was immaculately attended to always with a smile and courtesy. The folded towel animals were the humor that made it fun to return each night to see what was welcoming us. delightful.
Ship Staff Quality
We have never experienced such competent organization and willingness to help with consistant courtesy.
Entertainment & Activities
There was no age group, gender or personality left out.
Children's Programs
While not travelling with children, it was obvious that all possible activities were considered.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska
The Icy Strait port city of Hoonan was very interesting and showed the resiliency of its small community by responding to their lost fishing trade by building for tourism. They are a proud people and will succeed.
Don't Miss:
The bear search and nature walk is fantastic.
Juneau, Alaska
The small amount of rain did not take away from the awe of this phenomenom and the Park Ranger's talk was very informational. The salmon bake was good but not a "must see".
Don't Miss:
Mendenhall Glacier
Ketchikan, Alaska
The history of this small town is interesting and shows the community pride.
Don't Miss:
The Potlatch Totem Park and the carver's talk is inspirational.
Skagway, Alaska
The train ride was one of the highlights of the trip. to think that this was built when they didn't have the technology they now have, is almost incredible.
Don't Miss:
The White Pass Railway train ride.

A walking tour of Key West. We disembarked early in Key West, with rain drying on the ground and all of the shops closed. We opted to walk. First around the port area, and then across the island. We were able to enjoy the neighborhoods, and walk a significant section of the island, finding local treats along the way... including a Spiny Backed Orb Weaver and and some great conch fritters.
