I sailed on the Radiance of the Seas by
A Traveler from Pueblo, Co. Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: The ship was so clean and beautiful. It was my first cruise and I was amazed at the wonderful food and all the handy bars. Loved everything about it. Cons: Can't think of a thing I didn't like except the little bit of water on the floor from the shower and it was managable. We had a group of seventeen people on our cruise. It was my first cruise and I was surprised at the size of the rooms. I roomed with my sister-in-law and we had plenty of room to move around. We had a balcony , which is the best way to go as for me. Loved watching the ship come into and away from docks. The ship was beautiful and very clean. Food was fantastic and service great. It was so fun going to our room at night and finding the cute animals made from towels. I would recommend this cruise line to any of my friends. Ship Quality

  Great overall experience by
A Traveler from St. Louis, MO Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: The staff!!! They made the trip fantastic and the ship was beautiful Cons: The ports of call were not my favorite The ship was beautiful and had a lot to offer to every type of traveler. I cannot compliment the staff enough. They were so friendly and helpful and took care of my every need with pleasure. They truly made the trip special. Our stateroom exceeded expectation (we went with the cheapest and weren't expecting much) The food in the main dining room was superb, I thought the buffet could use a bit of improvement, but overall not bad. The town of Ensenada wasn't super impressive and Cabo San Lucas was nice, but not quite as fantastic as I was expecting. I wish that the pools could have been a little bigger, the were very crowded on both of our days at sea, but I really enjoyed the solarium, it was very pretty and relaxing, actually my favorite area of the ship. So, overall I highly recommended this ship and the Radiance of the Seas, but maybe with different stops along the way. Ship Quality

Cozumel, Mexico
Key West, FloridaA walking tour of Key West.
We disembarked early in Key West, with rain drying on the ground and all of the shops closed. We opted to walk. First around the port area, and then across the island. We were able to enjoy the neighborhoods, and walk a significant section of the island, finding local treats along the way... including a Spiny Backed Orb Weaver and and some great conch fritters.
George Town, Grand CaymanDon't Miss: Stingray City. Montego Bay, JamaicaDon't Miss: The canopy tour is phenomenal. 3 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

  Radiance Cruise by
Douglas E from Racine, Wisconsin Sailing date: Mar 2011Pros: The excellent service and friendly mood. Sometimes you don't have both on vacation. Cons: People smoking on balcony next to you. We don't smoke. The coffee was not the best. There was one mix-up. I'm not certain if it happened through Orbitz or through Royal Carribbean. My wife and I were travelling with another couple in the stateroom next to us. I booked the cruise for both of us and made it clear to the booking agent that we were travelling together. We were not seated at the same table for dinner and our departure groups and time were different. We of course had this corrected in both cases and the staff was very accomodating, but this should not have happened when I stated we were traveling together.
This was the first cruise for my wife and I. It was a wonderful first cruise experience. We really were not sure what to expect. The service and friendly atmosphere that the staff at Royal Carribbean gave to my wife and I was outstanding. When we look for a cruise in the future we will look to Royal Carribbean first before looking at other cruise lines. Ship QualityI cannot imagine any of this being any better. Dining/FoodOutstanding. I miss our waiter already. Stateroom QualityPerfect again! Ship Staff QualityThe entertainmet staff was superior!
It felt like this was their one and only cruise this year and they were enjoying it as much as we were. I didn't inquire how long they had been on the ship but it is amazing to us how friendly almost everyone was on the ship. Entertainment & ActivitiesWith the exception of the adult comedian show (which did not require the f-word in every other sentence) the other shows were great. The comedian show was much funnier earlier in the week when it was for all ages. People laughed more and did not walk out. It took away a little bit of the perfect experience that we had. Children's ProgramsThe pirate skit that the liitle kids did at the beginning of one of the shows was very cute. Although we were not travelling with our kids (18 & 21) my wife and I enjoyed watching how much fun the other kids were having on the ship. Great job.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), MexicoFirst time zip lining. Very warm day. Rough road to the site. Poverty everywhere. Not an up-lifting experience. The ziplining experience was great. Very careful and friendly staff. We may recommend this trip with some slight reservations.
Don't Miss: Bio Maya (Ziplining) Cozumel, MexicoWe toured the Amazing Secret River which is a cave tour that involves wading and swimming through portions of the cave which are 12 feet deep. All other cave tours will pale in comparison to this tour. We will never forget this experience. The ferry boat ride was horrible. A couple dozen people vomitted around us. We think the shot of anice liquor after our cave tour kept us from getting sick.

  Nice Getaway by
A Traveler from Odon, IN Sailing date: Jun 2009Pros: Variety of Food Cons: The coffee was awful The ship was in excellent condition and always kept clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodThe food was excellent with the exception of the coffee. It was bitter and extremely strong. I would have preferred a cold brew coffee in order to avoid the bitterness and you could add hot water to suit your preferred strength. Stateroom QualityI wish there could have been two overhead bunks instead of just one. With the foldout bed, it was difficult walking over it in order to get to the bathroom - especially in the middle of the night. Ship Staff QualityThe ship's staff was always friendly and helpful. Entertainment & ActivitiesSince we traveled as a family, I would have like to have seen more entertainment that was geared to families with teenagers. Children's ProgramsActivities seemed to be geared toward younger children.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), AlaskaThis was the best stop. Although there weren't sufficient bike rentals available, we were able to hike, visit the fish cannery museum and ride the zip line.
Don't Miss: Zip Line Juneau, AlaskaToo geared toward shopping and not enough family adventures at reasonable prices.
Ketchikan, AlaskaBetter assortment of family activities at this location. Although there were plenty of shopping possibilities, there were also other things to do at reasonable prices.
Don't Miss: The Lumberjack show. Skagway, AlaskaToo geared toward shopping and not enough family adventures at reasonable prices.

  Second honeymoon. by
Mike from Bloomington, MN Sailing date: Mar 2006Pros: The adult only pool area. The main dining room. Loved the room with a balcony. The stage shows. This was my wife and my first trip withiut our daughter. It was like a second honeymoon. The staff toke great care of everything we needed. Having a privet balcony is the only way to go. Sitting on balcony having morning coffee, and fresh fruit making plans for your day. Go on shore and hit a beach or go shopping, a little lite lunch. Then heading back to ship to relax at the pool before heading back to the cabin to get ready for dinner in main dinng room. After diner it of to a show, then the casino or a night club. before going back to cabin. To sit and talk about our day. We really liked the main dinng room, food was great and got to meet some really wonder people. Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment: The nightly shows were excellent the how the dancers could do what they did on a moving ship. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

Radiance of the Seas Cruise. by
Theresa from USA Sailing date: Jan 2007Pros: Solarium. We were very satisfied. The only disappointing aspect was the dining room food. The hotel was dirty and unsafe and had inappropriate rap music being played in the elevator. Unacceptable especially if children were present. It was a terrible way to start a beautiful vacation.
