We were treated with alot of respect and the employees catered to us! There was never a dull moment with the activities planned day to day kept us looking forward to more; the food was also great! Cons: some rain The staff on the ship went above and beyond to make sure we were well served. The shows were amazing! I loved the energy & talent in the dancing shows. Overall Rating: Majesty of the Seas by Katie B from boston Sailing date: Apr 2013 Pros: The service Cons: the food I went on the Majesty of the Seas with 3 other girlfriends. Overall it was a great experience! We only went for the weekend so it was a short trip. We loved the private island the most and had a great time at the shows at night. I do think that the lunch and dinner could have been a little better. I have been on longer cruises with better food so I wonder if it was just because of the short trip. Everyone was extremely friendly. The food in the dining hall was delicious and my waiter Mervin was excellent. The rooms were small(I had an ocean view) but I wasn't really expecting it to be big. The good thing was room service kept up with maintaining the room and restocking towels each night which made the room more manageable. The only con was the variety of activities. I went on this cruise with my boyfriend and we found that most activities were targeted towards individuals who are really young and really old. There wasn't much to do in between other than the late night pool party which was a lot of fun. Also, Coco cay was fun but I didn't like my time spent in Nassau. The main deck was beautiful. Ship Details: Ship Quality Perfect size for my first cruise, the ship was extremely well maintained for its age, the bathrooms were always spotless Dining/Food Selection was amazing, plenty to choose from even for a picky eater like me Stateroom Quality We stayed in an inside cabin and it was honestly just enough room for what we needed it for. This was my first cruise and overall I enjoyed it a lot. There wasn't a lot of evening entertainment that appealed to me, but I'm sure others enjoyed the shows and music. The crew was very helpful and courteous all the time. Ship Details: Ship Quality Dining/Food Food in the main restaurants was excellent. The wait staff was great. The only downside was that I got food poisoning from eating breakfast at the Windjammer Buffet the morning we departed the ship. Stateroom Quality Ship Staff Quality Great crew. Always willing to help. Entertainment & Activities I would have prefered more options, but that is part of sailing on a smaller ship. I know now that I need to look to the larger vessels if I want more choices. The shows they had were good. We did the All Access tour and it was great. Cons: smoking in the casino The ship is one of their "smaller" ships, but the size was perfect for us. There weren't crowds of people, so it made it more pleasant. The value of the shows alone exceeded the cost of the trip, plus we had wonderful meals, great locations, excellent room service, and a delightful bunch of people on the ship. I'd recommend this to anyone, and hope to go back soon! Ship Details: Ship Quality I'm not sure I even saw the entire ship ... so much to see and do. Dining/Food Fabulous service and wonderful food.
