Fantastic cruise
by A Traveler from Fort Lauderdale Florida
Sailing date:
Aug 2009
Pros:
Food, layout of the ship, cleanliness
Its a nice short term getaway. The crew is very professional and happy to help you with anything you need. The food in the Windjammer was fantastic. There is something to offer almost anyone on this ship, it looks new, clean, very classy. The room we had was kind of small but the bed was extremely comfortable and roomy. Coco Cay was really nice, the barbque was very tasty, bring a lot of sun screen and be careful of the sea lice ( small larval jellyfish that can deliver a nasty sting). Nassau was beatiful, we did the blackbeards island excursion, really nice little island with a turquoise beach. The ship has a smooth ride, is well laid out. I would definitely go on this cruise again.

The best honeymoon you could ask for
by Henry M from California
Sailing date:
Jun 2010
Pros:
Ameneties and attractions on the ship were wonderful
Cons:
Excursions on the islands were a little pricey
We recently sailed on the Majesty of the Seas, and all I can say is "Wow!". The restaurants were great, the pool area was fun and exciting around the clock and the dance areas definitely kept us entertained. We really like Royal Caribbean's style, service, and entertainment. All of the dining choices were really excellent. We had the my time dining option (which I highly recommend) and service was always top notch. The wait staff was very friendly and catered to your every need, the food was absolutely delicious; the steaks and chicken were outstanding, comparable to any great steak house. The Windjammer buffet really isn't a "buffet" anymore, now it's like a cool marketplace/food court with many more choices, stations you can approach from all sides (so no endless line!). Very wide-open and airy feeling, a huge step up from the typical ship buffet. We loved all the nightlife options. The shows were great but we really enjoyed the new latin club, Boleros, the Champagne Bar and the live music at Schooner's Pub. Felt like a totally different night out, every single night. A special honeymooners night to celebrate getting married was a nice touch and made us feel extra special that night. Our suite was enormous and beautiful with lots of closet space and large dressers for everything you could possibly need them for. It was easy to unpack and feel like it was "our Room". Overall we have to say the ship was really impressive, the staff was wonderful as always, and comes highly recommended from us.

Absolutely beautiful island, everything you would an island in the Bahamas to be. Very relaxing with Chair and hammocks everywhere to relax on and just a wonderful atmosphere to be in. Highly recommended for the best in R&R.
Don't Miss:
Glass bottom boat tour is absolutely amazing!
Key West, Florida
Good sightseeing and nice historical architecture. But seems a bit too touristy for my taste.
Don't Miss:
The Southernmost point in the US is here.
Nassau, Bahamas
Beautiful island and really nice people. Atlantis is definitely the star attraction on this island and is a can't miss destination. Worth the money to check out Atlantis for the day...will definitely come back just for Atlantis.
Don't Miss:
The Atlantis resort.

2nd time on this cruise ship--EXCELLENT
by Patricia H. from Queens, NY
Sailing date:
Feb 2010
Pros:
EVERYTHING!!!--the food, the atmosphere and i love how they've renovated the ship. My first time on The Majesty was in 2000. I loved it then and I loved it this time around. I took my friend; it was her birthday and her first time crusing. She got a little sea-sick but she had an AWESOME time. I
Cons:
I wish the weather was a little warmer at two of the islands but the Bahamas was beautiful. Everything was great.
I love the way RC has renovated the ship. It looks wonderful. The ship was clean and well maintained. Comfy beds. Room a tad-bit small, but who spends time in their room anyway.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
there's plenty to do on this ship; you could relax by the pool side with your drink of the day or join an activity.
Dining/Food
Food--awesome. I ate things i would never think about eating at home. Gained a few pounds I must say, but it was all worth it.
Stateroom Quality
Rooms a little small, but comfortable and very very clean. Bed was soft and very comfortable.
Ship Staff Quality
Our state room attendant definitely went above and beyond what she was required to do....needless to say she was well compensated :)
Entertainment & Activities
Had a blast whether it was playing bingo or partying on deck at night.

Great Last Minute Deal
by Marsha P from Tulsa, OK
Sailing date:
Jul 2009
Pros:
A Little Something for Everyone, Food & Entertainment was Good
Cons:
Too Many Kids & Teenage Groups
This was a honeymoon cruise and overall it was a good cruise, however, the first day seemed very chaotic and there were way too many kids and groups of teenagers. The checkin process was alot smoother if you pre-registered online. It only took approx 1 hours to check-in and get to our stateroom. The food was good, but it was dissappointing that you had to pay extra for pop and coffee. The alcohol prices seemed a bit high. The destinatations were good. There wasn't much to do at Coco Cay and there were hundreds of jellyfish right off the beach that made it hard to go swimming or snorkling. Nassua was nice, but we took the ferry over to Paradise Island and did the waterpark at Atlantis - that was Great!! Key West was dissappointing. No good beaches there - just shopping and museums. We did a snorkle tour from Key West and it was very good - we even got to see a shark while snorkling! It was a nice cruise but I would not recommend for a honeymoon. Luckly for us, we had just spent a week in Mexico, so we didn't mind all the chaos

The ship was very nice and clean. The waiters and cabin stewards were very friendly and our room was always ready to go. The pool was too small and always overcrowded

Not much to do - just a private island with not a lot. There are lots of watertoys for kids, but I believe they cost extra. There was jellyfish in the water, which made it hard to swim or snorkle. Rent a Sailboat - that was fun.
Key West, Florida
Seemed old and dirty. The streets were packed. There was a bunch of shops, restaurants and museums. Not much for the beachlover. The beach at the southend of the island was dirty and it stunk really bad. We took a snorkling tour (Fury) and it was great!
Nassau, Bahamas
Go to the Atlantis Waterpark. The ferry to Paradise Island is only $6 roundtrip for each person. The Waterpark is a little expensive but worth it. Not only do you have access to the waterpark, but you also have access to the beach which is the best beach you will see.

The Bahama Mama!
by Mary B from Overland Park, Kansas
Sailing date:
Apr 2010
Pros:
I loved everything! The food, entertainment, snorkeling, kayaking, light tackle fishing, swimming and soooo much more!
Cons:
The room next door was noisy at times! The staterooms are close together and small.
We absolutely loved the crusie to the Bahamas. We are early morning people so we were able to beat the crowds on everything. We could sit down and enjoy a quiet breakfast with a warm cup of coffee. We did not stay up for the late night parties or the adult shows - just not our thing! We went for an early morning walk on the beach in Nassua, Bahamas and we enjoyed walking through the streets of the town. We went back on the boat to grab another TERRIFIC lunch. The selection of food on the buffet was always enjoyable. The staff was always prompt, alert and courteous - Good Job! The Royal Carribean crew stays on the boats for 7 months at a time and they still have great attitudes toward every passenger! The RC island of Coco Cay was a very fun stop. My husband and I were the frist boat over to the isalnd and one of the last to leave. I had my hair braided - to be a TRUE Bahama Mama! We went early morning kayaking with a very small group and we were able to see a great view from our kayaks. We rented snorkeling equipment and saw soooooo many beautiful fish. It is well worth the money! I would highly recommend snorkeling! I am not a big drinker but enjoyed the rum drinks on the trip - drinks of the day - Pina Colada - Bahama Mama - Coco Loco - they are all made with rum. The "My Time" dining experience is fantastic. The food and service were EXCELLENT. My husband had TWO meals some nights because he was "still hungry" - NOT - because it was so good he wanted to stuff himself. We enjoyed the other two couples we sat with every evening. My husband liked them too and he struggles talking with strangers. We went light tackle fishing in Key West with Surge our fishing tour guide. He was great! My husband caught a 30 pound lemon shark - he held it for the pictures. Surge wanted me to hold it for a picture but I decided holding a shark was NOT for me! I enjoyed the fishing trip - but one tip - take dramamine before you go. One women on the small boat got sea sick and we voted to return 30 minutes early for her! I did not get sick on the RC cruise ship. Sometimes you could not even tell it was moving. We moved from port to port in the evenings so each day we would wake up in a new location. VERY FUN! The evening shows were comedians, magicians and the RC singers and dancers. It was good CLEAN entertainment! They did offer late night adult shows - we declined. They offered a late night pool party that seemed to get really crazy - we declined. A four night cruise to the Bahamas is a perfect amount of time to be on the ship! WE LOVED IT!
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The RC staff kept the place looking nice. I thought the ship was the perfect size - you could always find a place away from the crowd. It was always clean and the decor was just fine!
Dining/Food
Go for the "my time" dining. The food is wonderful and the service is fabulous. We do not have an opportunity to eat in fancy restaurants very often - $$$ for fancy is out of our price range - so we really enjoyed being pampered EVERY NIGHT! Belle was our waiteress and William was her assistant. THEY WERE THE BEST! The breakfast and lunch buffets were great - filled will MANY options - lots of variety! My husband and i both gained four pounds - we enjoyed the food! There are restaurants open almost 24/7. We did not find the deli or the pizza parlor until the last day - check them out early!
Stateroom Quality
SMALL! The staff had surprises for us every day! They did a terrific job in keeping it clean and picked up! It was comfortable. We slept well every night - I think we were exhausted from the daytime activities!
Ship Staff Quality
We were greeted with a smile everywhere we went on the ship. They were very helpful when I had my MANY questions. Our "My Time" staff for the dining room was so good - unbelievable!
Entertainment & Activities
The game shows were funny. The entertainment director would tell us to go to see what people will do for a piece of plastic - a RC keychain - they were often the prizes. Comedians - GREAT! Comedian/Magician - GREAT! RC singers and dancers - GREAT! Go to the show every evening they are fun! They had a pool party - too late for us - it started at 11:30 p.m. - we slept!

So Much Fun
by Rachel B from Estero, FL
Sailing date:
Jan 2011
Pros:
Activities, Food, & Beds
Cons:
Nassau
The Majesty of the Seas was a gorgeous ship. The pool deck was wonderful and you didn't have to fight for a pool chair. Restaurants, dining room, theater room, and night club were all very nice and comfortable.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The ship was very clean and organized. I was very impressed.
Dining/Food
I was amazed at how much food that was provided. Every where you turned, there was a buffet of some sort! Any type of food that you could imagine was offered. The quality was also excellent. In the dining room, the food was good, but I think I would have rather gone to the buffet. The buffet had more of a variety. Food portions in the dining room were smaller, but you could order one of everything if you really wanted. I definitely enjoyed eating on the cruise.
Stateroom Quality
I was pleasently surprised by the comfort of the beds! I slept soundly each night and woke up very refreshed. Our staterroom attendant was very attentive to keeping our room tidy. He even made towels into different shapes each day. The shower, as expected, is very small, but the water pressure more than made up for it. Everything was very nice. We had a window and it was great to wake up to the sun shine.
Ship Staff Quality
Everyone was very nice and outgoing. We loved everything about the cruise directors, service staff, wait staff, and our stateroom attendant. However, the person I was traveling with lost his wallet, and the ship staff did not make an effort to help find. We wanted to view videos and those requests were not met.
Entertainment & Activities
The schedule of the activities was great. There was always something going on somewhere on the ship. I would say that some were pretty tacky, but still kept you entertained on some level. The love & marriage "show" was hilarious and the karaoke was fun.

Cococay (Cruiseline Private Island)
Cococay was absolutely gorgeous! We loved walked far into the water and it was still ankle deep. I felt that this port was the most relaxing. There was a barbeque that was excellent and we drank Coco Loco's!
Key West, Florida
Key West was my favorite part of the trip. There are so many places to discover and everything is so interesting! I would have liked to stay in Key West longer, but unfortunately we didn't have too much time there.
Nassau, Bahamas
I really did not enjoy my time in Nassau. We were more on a budget, so we walked around mainly. The natives are too pushy with there sales and made us very uncomfortable. We also felt that the area we were dropped off was a not a great part of town.
