Great Cruise for the price! by Ryan M. from Indianapolis, IN
Sailing date: Feb 2009

Pros:
Food was great! Price was awesome.

Cons:
service was a little lacking but that is expected from an older boat and the low price.

You have to remember that the ship is about 12 years old so you don't have all the fancey things that the new ships have. But the crew was great! Bar serive and food service was ok. Only the stateroom attendant was lacking. We went to two ports. Cozumel was awesome but we also went to Costa Maya and we won't go back there. That place had nothing really to do.

Good Cruise by Larry L. from Brooksville, FL
Sailing date: Jan 2009

Pros:
Very fast check in and Customs check out.

This was a good cruise, although, the food choices have been narrowed; I suspect as a cost cutting measure. Overall, it was worth the price.

Dining/Food
The food choices in the Windjammer have become somewhat commonplace; not the more exotic foods we experianced on our former cruise. It seems Royal Caribbian is cutting costs in the food department.

Our first cruise. by Predrag from Fort Lauderdale, FL
Sailing date: Apr 2006

Pros:
Dining.

Disappointing. We were quarantined for being sea sick. The activities we centered around gambling and partying. We did not like the bingo and there were no shows or theaters and the ports of call were just commercialized stream of shops designed to leach tourists.

Learning if I like Cruises on my First T by Russ from Richmond, VA
Sailing date: Mar 2006

Pros:
The staff, crew, and service people hands down. In most of the areas of the ship I was overcome with smoke. We did enjoy the Schooner bar and its drink of the day when we went in the off hours where no one was smoking. I came home with what I think is a cigarette addiction.

I was impressed and amazed with the attention to detail, planning, and professionalism from the staff and crew on the ship. I enjoyed the entertainment, especially the creativity of the free entertainment. I was amazed at how hard it was to get away from cigarette smoke, and appalled at the behavior quality of the children on the ship. The Talum excursion was excellent and the reason for the trip. I found that I was constantly sleepy due to motion sickness from the motion of the ship. Once I kicked in the Dramamine, things were fine. Lastly, upon arriving at home, we found that we had contracted the Norwalk/Noro Virus from the ship (since the next cruise had to return to port). That was unpleasant. Lastly we have decided that we don't really like cruises especially when compared with the expense. Any future cruises will be undertaken with a group of people that we know and will be focused on the destination (ie. we are very happy we got the see Talum).

Great Staff, Enjoyable Cruise by Shayla W from Hoensbroek, Netherlands
Sailing date: Oct 2011

Pros:
The friendliness of the staff

Cons:
The age of the cabins

The price we paid for a Transatlantic cruise was a bargain. The staff made up for the ship's age and lack of ammenities. Overall, our two weeks aboard the ship moved rapidly. We ddin't want to leave!
