 Our first cruise. by
Predrag from Fort Lauderdale, FL Sailing date: Apr 2006Pros: Dining. Disappointing. We were quarantined for being sea sick. The activities we centered around gambling and partying. We did not like the bingo and there were no shows or theaters and the ports of call were just commercialized stream of shops designed to leach tourists. Entertainment & ActivitiesActivities: The gym was good but other activities were insuficient.
Entertainment: Need activities other than gambling and clubbing. 1 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

Learning if I like Cruises on my First T by
Russ from Richmond, VA Sailing date: Mar 2006Pros: The staff, crew, and service people hands down. In most of the areas of the ship I was overcome with smoke. We did enjoy the Schooner bar and its drink of the day when we went in the off hours where no one was smoking. I came home with what I think is a cigarette addiction. I was impressed and amazed with the attention to detail, planning, and professionalism from the staff and crew on the ship. I enjoyed the entertainment, especially the creativity of the free entertainment. I was amazed at how hard it was to get away from cigarette smoke, and appalled at the behavior quality of the children on the ship. The Talum excursion was excellent and the reason for the trip. I found that I was constantly sleepy due to motion sickness from the motion of the ship. Once I kicked in the Dramamine, things were fine. Lastly, upon arriving at home, we found that we had contracted the Norwalk/Noro Virus from the ship (since the next cruise had to return to port). That was unpleasant. Lastly we have decided that we don't really like cruises especially when compared with the expense. Any future cruises will be undertaken with a group of people that we know and will be focused on the destination (ie. we are very happy we got the see Talum). Entertainment & Activities

  Great Staff, Enjoyable Cruise by
Shayla W from Hoensbroek, Netherlands Sailing date: Oct 2011Pros: The friendliness of the staff Cons: The age of the cabins The price we paid for a Transatlantic cruise was a bargain. The staff made up for the ship's age and lack of ammenities. Overall, our two weeks aboard the ship moved rapidly. We ddin't want to leave! Ship Quality

St. John's, AntiguaBeautiful beaches. Forego the temptation to pay exorbitant prices for transportation as the public bus station is very close to the port and many gorgeous beaches are easily accesible from there.
Bridgetown, Barbados
Philipsburg, St. MaartenWe rented a car which was a huge help in exploring the island's multiple facets. But there is a good beach within walking distance of the port.
Tenerife, Canary Islands

Cozumel, MexicoDowtown Cozumel has gotten way too touristy...filled with shops all selling the same cheap things; margaritas were watered down; the food was "Americanized" and expensive. Best to take an excursion (as I've done before) to the ruins, or beaches, canoeing...anything out of town.
George Town, Grand CaymanThe Island tour was very interesting and our guide was very entertaining.
Don't Miss: Turtle farm, Tortuga rum factory, Hell. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  Great again by
John from Nashville, TN Sailing date: Jun 2010Pros: I didn't have to do a thing. They do everything. Cons: Maybe a little longer at ports.- so I could shop more. Well, this was our 2nd time on the ship. We went back in March. This time seem better for me because even in the Carribbean in March it was alittle cold for me. This trip was never cold. Loved it. The crew was different. Our wait staff was the best. They called us by name each night. Our room attendant called us by name each time he saw us. Everyone was friendly. Clean ship. Great trip again! Ship QualityIt was all very good!!!!! Dining/FoodFood was marvelous. Eat as much as you want!!!! Stateroom QualityHad a window and we loved it....Very, Very comfortable!!!!
