A cruise with the best results! by
A Traveler from Springfield, Illinois Sailing date: Jun 2010Pros: The frienliness of the staff on Royal Caribbean Cons: We had one day of bad weather The ship was clean and cleanliness with the crew was everywhere. The crew on this ship is the friendliest I have ever encountered. The food was great, the entertainment was wonderful and the port of call was beautiful. Dining/FoodDon't miss lunch in the dining room, so yummy! Stateroom QualityI would always recommend a balcony. Ship Staff QualityThe dining room staff was quite amazing. So friendly and entertaining to our children. I also had witnessed staff in the shops on the promenade deck having so much patience with passengers with lost items! Entertainment & ActivitiesGreat shows, I would recommend more for teens though. Children's ProgramsLots for little ones to do, but not much for teens.

  A super cruise by
susan h. from New Jersey Shore Sailing date: Mar 2010Pros: The people, the service, and the itinerary Cons: LInes for Ice Show The ship was beauifully appointed and impeccably clean. Some rooms were to small for the amount of passengers. Movie theatre held 59 and the ship has 3100 guests. Same for the ice shows you had to wait in line to enter and there were about 400 seats so you had to stand in line for advance tickets and they did this only during our dinner hour! There was nowhere for church services and no priest on board. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodFood was good but the variety in the dining room was lacking on some nights. Buffet food was not always as hot as it could be. Stateroom QualitySmallest inside cabin I have ever had on a cruise ship and I've been on 15. Ship Staff QualityService was fantastic, people very friendly and were very willing to please. Entertainment & ActivitiesNeed more activities! I could have slept till noon and not missed much of anything. 2 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

  A Little Disappointed! by
david d from new jersey Sailing date: Nov 2009Cons: Lines everywhere. Ordinary Food especially at lunchtime. Took hours to board the ship. Lines for dinner, lines for elevator. Was asked to pay gratuities, even tho it was already on my credit card. But mostly disappointed with the quality of the food. promised lobster dinner never happened. Lines everywhere. Ordinary Food especially at lunchtime. Took hours to board the ship. Lines for dinner, lines for elevator. Was asked to pay gratuities, even though the charge was already on my credit card. A Wonderful Bermuda Cruise by
Beth T from New York Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: Everything about Royal Caribbean Cons: Time of year in Bermuda - It was VERY hot! This is a beautiful ship. It is well maintained and the staff is constantly making improvements. The staff is friendly and accommodating and works hard to make your cruising experience a good one. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodThey should consider allotting more tables for "My Time" dining. It appears to be very popular and dining slots fill up quickly. Stateroom QualityWe stayed in a min-suite. It was the perfect size with a full bath and walk-in closet. Ship Staff Quality

King's Wharf, BermudaVisit the Glassworks. They're hand-blown glass is absolutely beautiful and you can watch them work. The glass bottom boat tour is well worth it. The captain is very knowledgeable and entertaining. If you are looking for shopping "deals", this isn't the Caribbean. Things are pricey!

  Great Ship by
George L. from Boston, MA Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: Lots to do and see-great design of ship Cons: Lack of Enforcement of Adult only areas, i.e. lounges, pools, hot tubs-lots of kids Great Cruise, Great Ship. The only down-fall was there were many kids on the ship and they did not enforce the adults only policies for the lounges, pools, and hot tubs. Ship Quality

  Absolutely incredible!!!! by
Amy L from Easthampton, MA Sailing date: Jun 2009Pros: Everything!! Cons: NOthing!! This was our first cruise and I can't tell you how much of a wonderful experience we had. The ship is supposedly refurbished-it looked amazing! The staff was absolutely incredible! There were 3400 guests on that ship and do you know the head waiter remembered our names and greeted us every night! Everyone from the room staff to the dining rooms to the cleaning people were just phenomenal. The ship was beautiful and extremely well kept. There was always something to do! We seriously went to bed at, like, 3:30 every night because there was just SO much. The cruise director was absolutely awesome. It was just a fantastic experience all around!! Ship Quality

King's Wharf, BermudaWe did the power snorkel which was ok. I think I would want to snorkel without the pwer thingy; it was a bit cumbersome. We rented a scooter for the 2nd day. This is a very interesting experience!! I don't know how people with no motorcycle/scooter experience survive the streets though!! I guess I could take or leave Bermuda. It was a lot more built up then I thought it was going to be.
Don't Miss: Snorkeling 4 out of 6 people found this review helpful.

  Always great! by
Bernie from Parsippany, NJ Sailing date: Jul 2007Pros: Large spaces avoided overcrowding. A wide selection of activities throughout the day kept people occupied. Once on board the entertainment is top notch, food is plentiful, relaxation great, activities plentiful. Even though there were 3,000 people on board we felt as though we had to share the facilities with 10 or 20 people. There was no waiting for activities (except for maybe finding a lounge chair on deck around the pool on a sunny day!). We love dancing. Some of the dance floors were too small for the venue. But if you jump around to the different entertainers you can definitely get a lot of dancing in. Dining/Food
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & ActivitiesActivities: The dance floors need to be bigger. Need better dance choices. They had only one dance instruction with large participation; then nothing.

Casa De Campo, Dominican Republic
I did not enjoy seeing the poverty of the Dominican Republic. It was so depressing to me and my family. I would not recommend this as a port of call. My family and I first visited La Romana and were APPALLED. The poverty was so sad and the people wanted our money so badly. We did not feel safe and quickly went back to the visitor center near the ship. We then took a shuttle to the "resort side of town"....What a difference!!! The scenery was beautiful but it didn't mask the poverty that we had seen. I feel so badly for the people here. I will not visit again.
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)We love Labadee but.....
Labadee, Haiti is a beautiful place to visit for a beach day; however, you really don't get to see what the island is really about. We were very disappointed to see the new "zip line" as it takes away from the natural beauty of the beach. Not to mention, we had to listen to people screaming down the zip line every 10 minutes or so. More importantly, my family and I have been to Labadee many times and opted to sunbathe on the far extreme of the beach away from the crowd....it was absolutely beautiful and peaceful!
San Juan, Puerto RicoDon't Miss: Shopping. Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.
We visit Meghan's Bay. It is a beautiful beach but VERY crowded (2 ships were in port that day). We much prefer taking a boat ovet to St. John's and visiting Trunk Bay. I think it's more beautiful and definately less crowded!
Don't Miss: St. John's trunk bay. 12 out of 19 people found this review helpful.
