A Beautiful cruise to Bermuda by
Rita J. from Rochester, NY Sailing date: Oct 2010Pros: A fantastic indoor/outdoor pool Cons: poor and expensive internet The Enchantment of the Seas was a beautiful ship and very clean. They had a pool called the Solarium that was like a Roman bath. The water was salt water and very refreshing. The glass roof could move away so the pool was outside but in cooler weather if closed to keep it warm. This was my favorite spot on the ship. No children were allowed in this area. The big outside pool was noisy with lots of music that I am sure someone else would like. I enjoyed the jogging track on Deck 10. It was a 1/4 mile once around. Overall this was a wonderful trip. My husband found the internet expensive and very slow. There was an internet lounge to get internet but not enough plugs for laptops. Ship QualityThe ship was extremely clean, the public areas were pretty and kept with the nautical theme. Dining/FoodThe Windjammer cafe was perfect for eating quickly to enjoy more of the beach. My Fair Lady dining room was elegant but too large so there was a lot of noise at dinner. For lunch and breakfast the dining room was a pleasant volume. At dinner I felt we were smushed together to accomodate all the tables. The quality of the food and service were tremendous. Stateroom QualityOverall, very clean and well maintained. The room steward made towel folded animals each night. It wsa difficult to walk around the bed to get to the bathroom. Once we unpacked and put our suitcases in the closet there was not much room. The room had nice wall sconces and it was well lit. I liked the wall switch by the bed to turn off the over head lights. This was an inside room. I have cruised before and I thought the room was a little small. Ship Staff QualityT he staff was friendly and fun. The staff was definitely well trained. We did not require any extra services. Entertainment & ActivitiesThere was plenty to do. We went to trivia and had fun and it was challangeing. The dnce lessons ere too easy for us. The big shows were well done but I felt they had been cleaned up for children. The classical music in the main lobby was beautiful, both classical guitar and another group was violin and piano. The schedule was fine.

King's Wharf, BermudaHorseshoe beach was outstanding. There was a step climb back to the top but iff you are not hardy they had a mini van that would drive you to the top for $2! Hamilton was a cute little town with some shopping. The water taxis were on strike but when we arrive the ship said they would run just to Hamilton and the ship. We took the bus to the beach and thne then the bus to Hamilton. We were hoping to take the water taxi back to the ship but there was sign stating 4pm and then 7:30Pm was the nest one. Hmmm we thought, does the toen want us to stay for dinner as opposed to eating at the ship. If the water taxis had run we would have gone to St. Georges, everyone said it was great. On our 1/2 day, the next, day my husband swamm with the dolfins and he really liked this. I explored the dock yard. I wish I has done the Maritime Museum and snorkel in a shipwreck. The island of Bermuda was very clean and easy to get around on the buses.

  A Fantastic Cruise Experience by
Jill D from Anderson, IN Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: My husband and I felt very pampered Cons: The only really quiet place on the ship was your room. The ship was in great condition and very clean. This was our first time to cruise and we were not disappointed. The staff was fantastic, from the Stateroom assistant to the waiters. We were always treated with kindness. The food was excellent in the dining room and the Windjammer Marketplace was always filled with tempting choices. The shows were great. We also enjoyed the bingo offered as an activity. Our excursion in Cozumel on the Fury Snorkeling adventure was spectacular. All in all our vacation was a trip of a lifetime. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and made memories we will never forget. Ship QualityThe ship was the perfect size. I think if you go bigger you just have more people to contend with. Stateroom QualityOur room was comfortable and clean. Ship Staff QualityThe staff always gave 110 percent Entertainment & ActivitiesThe shows were great! The activity director was annoying. 11 out of 11 people found this review helpful.

  Our First Cruise by
Steph P. from Chicago, IL Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: All of the food and activities. Cons: The elevators were very slow. We had a great time on our first cruise. The staff was friendly, the food was great, the activities were entertaining, and the destinations were marvelous. It was everything that it was advertised to be and we will certainly be going on another one. The only thing that was mildly frustrating were the elevators; they were incredibly slow (we actually watched two of them go right past the floor we were on twice without stopping) so we took the stairs a lot. In hindsight, it wasn't a terrible problem as I'm sure it helped us to work off all of the wonderful food we were eating. Overall, a delightful time and exactly what we were looking for when we booked it. Ship QualityThe ship was huge, but there were maps on every level which helped us not to get lost. Maps were also available from the Guest Services Desk. Everything was spotless and tidy, and we loved the artwork that was on the walls and in the stairwells. there was also a channel on the T.V. that was constantly running information about the cruise, the rules for the cruise, broadcasting the shows that were going on, and information about their other ships and some of their other destinations which was very helpful. Dining/FoodThe food was wonderful! There were so many fun options of what to eat at both the main dining room and at the buffet. Our waiter and assistant waiter in the dining room were very helpful and friendly, even greeting us by name every time we saw them. Service was very quick and the portions were perfect in size to allow us to eat the appetizers, entrees, and desserts without getting overly full. Stateroom QualityThe stateroom was nice: very clean and well organized. The shower was very small, and there was a small issue with the shower head (it shot water out the side which caused some puddling on the floor, but nothing that the bath mat didn't take care of) but it was also keep very clean. We loved the towels/mats that were folded into animals; they were so cute and original! One night we had a bat and another we had a monkey! Ship Staff QualityThe staff was very friendly and always helpful. Everyone was always smiling and always greeted us with a "hello" when we would pass them. Entertainment & ActivitiesThere was lots of variety in entertainment and activities. We loved the bingo and the trivia games. There was even a "70's Street Party" on the last night of the cruise where some of the staff dressed up and danced in the main lobby; some were even dressed as the Village People. It was a blast! Children's ProgramsWe did not bring any children with us, but I did happily notice that the children who were on the cruise were kept happily entertained. We never encountered any "rambunctious" children being left to their own devices. We saw several play areas and an arcade for the younger cruise goers. 12 out of 12 people found this review helpful.

  great cruise/great Orbitz help by
Don S from Washington DC Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: relaxing Cons: ferry from Cozumel to mainland Enchantment of the Seas (Royal Car), great time. And great help from Orbitz -- bought the tickets and recently married so my wife's passport doesn't yet match her changed name...Orbitz nicely/quickly changed the name on the reservation 3 days prior to our departure...
Cruise itself -- great. Buffet at dinner was better than the sit down diner. We were pleasantly surprised by this. We had an internal stateroom (the chaep ones) and they were fine. It was easy to hang out at the pool with the masses, or hang out on deck somewhere away from all the hub-bub. They had spinning bikes in the rec room so we could work out when we wanted.
This was my first cruise and I will come back for more...
Easy on /off the ship, comfortable/quiet room, great service all around (staterooms attendants, folks on deck etc), constant food/workouts if desired, easy to plan excursions off ship at ports....all was super.
ONLY bad thing was out of the ship's control -- ferry from Cozumel to the mainland is choppy and rough...for 40 minutes...people were barfing around us...i almost did too on the way back...have some anti nausea meds ready if you take the ferry...

raiting between 3.5 and 4.0 by
Yuriy A from New York,NY Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: good restorant and food I don't like pool on this ship.
Since first day, water never changed in pool...
Pool was dirty.
Also some cruises lines (Carnival) replaced water in pool and cleaned pool every day.
Enchantment of the Seas is not.
Water in the pool not from ocean or from Caribbean Sea
Also not enough shower cabins, wich is located close to the pool.
I think this very important.

  First Time Cruisers by
Lynn A from Cherryville, NC Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: The people were so nice and the entertainment was wonderful Cons: The formal dinner. When we entered the ship, I was so amazed at the way the ship was taken care of. It was beautiful. Everyone that worked for the cruiseline treated us so special. We've never been on a cruise but highly recommend everyone to go and we will definately recommend Enchantment of the Sea to everyone we know. I can't say enough about the people working for the cruiseline. They made our first time cruise a memory of a life time. Thanks again for everything and hope to see you again soon. Ship Quality

Cozumel, MexicoWe rented a car this time and didn't worry about the timing back to the ship. We decided to enjoy a day at the beach. We did go to one that parking was free. It had a bar and restaurant. We rented a jetski. That was great. Want to warn people about it, someone got into our car and luckily, we didn't have anything in it for them to take. Other than that, it was fantastic. We went back to Margaritaville and had lunch. They were very friendly. I did notice the people that lived there seemed to aproach us at every store to try to get you to purchase things. I found that irritating. Just learn to keep walking.
George Town, Grand CaymanWe rented a jeep but now wish we had went on an excursion with the ship because they charged alot for the jeep. We were so worried about getting back to the ship on time that we couldn't enjoy alot of the island. We will go on the excursion on our next voyage.
Don't Miss: Swimming with the dolphins and going to the sea turtle farm. A new adventure for my husband and myself. 5 out of 7 people found this review helpful.
