raiting between 3.5 and 4.0
by Yuriy A from New York,NY
Sailing date:
Aug 2009
Pros:
good restorant and food
I don't like pool on this ship. Since first day, water never changed in pool... Pool was dirty. Also some cruises lines (Carnival) replaced water in pool and cleaned pool every day. Enchantment of the Seas is not. Water in the pool not from ocean or from Caribbean Sea Also not enough shower cabins, wich is located close to the pool. I think this very important.

A Good Cruise - But Less Than Expected
by James S from Franktown, CO
Sailing date:
May 2009
Pros:
Clean, well sized stateroom.
Cons:
During dinner and in our stateroom, the temperature was uncomfortably hot. Dining Room meals had some delicious moments, but in general were not as good as we had come to expect from Royal Caribbean.
Ship was clean and well maintained. Some procedures (check-in, muster drill, disembarkation) were significantly improved over prior cruises. Temperatures inside the ship (especially our stateroom and the formal dining hall) were frequently too hot. Formal dining meals had some great items (e.g. the garlic tart), but the food in general was not what we had come to expect on Royal Caribbean. The fare in the food court was ok, but tended toward bland tastes. Staff we encountered were enthusiastic, hard working and friendly. However, we didn't see much staff in the lounges so it took a long time to order a drink.

Good spaces and food but bad management
by Juan V from Panama
Sailing date:
Nov 2008
Pros:
Architectural spaces
Cons:
Bad management and coordination
I think this ship has very nice spaces and good food quality. But the guest service management is very poor and the coordination between activities are bad too. At the second day of cruise I request for an appointment with the cruise director because I have experience in cruising and I am still waiting. The activities are too short and that makes that it is impossible to make an environment to enjoy them. The restaurants are very well attended and you can feel good there. Our cabin was dirty and the bathroom with bad smell.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The ship isnt well painted, it has many parts oxide. In my experience a cruise ship has to be painted in every port I didnt see it in this cruise. The public areas have good appearance but in some parts lack of cleanliness.
Dining/Food
This is a good point for this cruise.
Stateroom Quality
The cabin was good, but the stateroom attendant didnt change the linen in the whole cruise. The only exception was the towels. She was knocking the door to "clean" the stateroom too early in the morning and if you spend more time in your cabin you lose the turn to make the room.
Ship Staff Quality
The only exception was the captain and crew members. The staff had only a repeating tape when you ask something.
Entertainment & Activities
I think they didnt coordinate the activities. They cut the good ones shortly.
Children's Programs
The children activities were very poor in this cruise. Few children in this cruise, maybe in other route become better.

Our cabin was nice.
Some serious issues, ranging from heating of pool to lack of access to certaim activities, made the cruise less enjoyable.

Overall a good cruise.
by Lucrecia from Chesapeake, VA
Sailing date:
Nov 2006
Pros:
Many cruise dates.
My husband and I were on a much needed vacation. We chose Royal Caribbean because they offered a cruise schedule that met our needs. On Royal Caribbean--the food was very good overall. The shower floor was disgusting--with pink gunk in the grout. One of the "clean" glasses place on our room (with the paper cover) was obviously not clean--you could see the grime 30' away--yet someone thought it was "clean enough" for someone to drink out of??

Nice.
by Desi from Florida
Sailing date:
Apr 2006
Pros:
Food and piano entertainment.
The room was microscopic and the toilet over flowed the entire trip. The Mexico port was horrible with rude people and men with machine guns standing around. Very dangerous. The food was excellent BUT most did not follow dining hall dress code. Buffet was excellent as well as room service. The piano players at night and appetizers was very pleasant but the over lapping times of events and shortage of events in the deep evening made it hard to see anything good. Over all I would not recommend this ship/location but may recommend this Cruise line again.

Entertainment & Activities
Activities: There was too many over lapping activities early in the evening and not many at night. Made it hard to see everything you wanted to. Entertainment: Piano singers were GREAT.

Top 5 Vacations

Pros:

Cons:
Someone died on our cruise
The ship is very clean on the inside and is well planned. For my first cruise it was a delight and an eye opening experience. CoCoCay is a must. In the morning you could not tell of the clear water, but by mid day you could see the picturesque views anywhere you stood. What I really enjoyed were the personalities of all the crew members, especially the cruise director. I am sure he does the same routine over and over for all the trips, but he made my stay feel like we were wanted. We are already considering our next cruise with Royal Caribbean.
