Ship Review
by A Traveler from Akron, OH, US
Sailing date:
Jun 2007
Pros:
The employees.
More family oriented (ie fewer drunks at the pool, cleaner jokes in the entertainment with plenty of parental warning for the more adult shows), a more polite, friendly staff, beautiful artwork displayed everywhere.
Ship Details:
Entertainment & Activities
Activities: Since the cruise director had to beg people to participate in pool games, how necessary are they, really? The Jump Zone was closed exept when in port, and then only open for limited times. Pools and fitness areas were clean and kept tidy. Entertainment: Did not see all the shows, but enjoyed the ones we did. Could use more family oriented comedy. My pre-teen sons were not interested in Vegas syle acts and the children's/teen's clubs were not all that popular with the 10+ age group, so they were a bit bored at night.

Stingray City. We booked an independent tour to Stingray City and were not at all disappointed. This experience should not be missed. The look on people's faces as the rays brush up against them for the first time is priceless.
Don't Miss:
Stingray City.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Disappointed in Jamaica. The Mountain to Sea bike tour is not for the faint of heart. I was gripping both hand brakes and dragging one foot and still was going downhill way faster than was safe. It began thundering and lightening but the tour was not called off. We rode down in the bus, but some brave souls stuck it out (it rained off and on) and later said we made the right decision. One man went right over his handlebars. I honestly can't recommend this tour.

Our First Cruise
by Steph P. from Chicago, IL
Sailing date:
Nov 2009
Pros:
All of the food and activities.
Cons:
The elevators were very slow.
We had a great time on our first cruise. The staff was friendly, the food was great, the activities were entertaining, and the destinations were marvelous. It was everything that it was advertised to be and we will certainly be going on another one. The only thing that was mildly frustrating were the elevators; they were incredibly slow (we actually watched two of them go right past the floor we were on twice without stopping) so we took the stairs a lot. In hindsight, it wasn't a terrible problem as I'm sure it helped us to work off all of the wonderful food we were eating. Overall, a delightful time and exactly what we were looking for when we booked it.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The ship was huge, but there were maps on every level which helped us not to get lost. Maps were also available from the Guest Services Desk. Everything was spotless and tidy, and we loved the artwork that was on the walls and in the stairwells. there was also a channel on the T.V. that was constantly running information about the cruise, the rules for the cruise, broadcasting the shows that were going on, and information about their other ships and some of their other destinations which was very helpful.
Dining/Food
The food was wonderful! There were so many fun options of what to eat at both the main dining room and at the buffet. Our waiter and assistant waiter in the dining room were very helpful and friendly, even greeting us by name every time we saw them. Service was very quick and the portions were perfect in size to allow us to eat the appetizers, entrees, and desserts without getting overly full.
Stateroom Quality
The stateroom was nice: very clean and well organized. The shower was very small, and there was a small issue with the shower head (it shot water out the side which caused some puddling on the floor, but nothing that the bath mat didn't take care of) but it was also keep very clean. We loved the towels/mats that were folded into animals; they were so cute and original! One night we had a bat and another we had a monkey!
Ship Staff Quality
The staff was very friendly and always helpful. Everyone was always smiling and always greeted us with a "hello" when we would pass them.
Entertainment & Activities
There was lots of variety in entertainment and activities. We loved the bingo and the trivia games. There was even a "70's Street Party" on the last night of the cruise where some of the staff dressed up and danced in the main lobby; some were even dressed as the Village People. It was a blast!
Children's Programs
We did not bring any children with us, but I did happily notice that the children who were on the cruise were kept happily entertained. We never encountered any "rambunctious" children being left to their own devices. We saw several play areas and an arcade for the younger cruise goers.

Great service.
by Shirley from USA
Sailing date:
Sep 2007
Pros:
Food and hospitality.
This being my first cruise, I found Royal Caribbean to be very accommodating as well as having most of the convenience one would expect on a cruise, only a few inconveniences: 1. Luggage took quite a long time to arrive on the first day. 2. No iron in the room, should be able to iron ones clothes in a laundry rooms provided for guests. If there was one, we were never told about it after inquiring at the desk.

Ocho Rios, so so. Ocho Rios somewhat okay but enjoyed Bahamas much better. Cab driver at Port, overcharged us and took as to two spots for such a big price.

A Fantastic Cruise Experience
by Jill D from Anderson, IN
Sailing date:
Nov 2009
Pros:
My husband and I felt very pampered
Cons:
The only really quiet place on the ship was your room.
The ship was in great condition and very clean. This was our first time to cruise and we were not disappointed. The staff was fantastic, from the Stateroom assistant to the waiters. We were always treated with kindness. The food was excellent in the dining room and the Windjammer Marketplace was always filled with tempting choices. The shows were great. We also enjoyed the bingo offered as an activity. Our excursion in Cozumel on the Fury Snorkeling adventure was spectacular. All in all our vacation was a trip of a lifetime. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and made memories we will never forget.

Ship Quality
The ship was the perfect size. I think if you go bigger you just have more people to contend with.
Dining/Food
FANTASTIC!
Stateroom Quality
Our room was comfortable and clean.
Ship Staff Quality
The staff always gave 110 percent
Entertainment & Activities
The shows were great! The activity director was annoying.

A Beautiful cruise to Bermuda
by Rita J. from Rochester, NY
Sailing date:
Oct 2010
Pros:
A fantastic indoor/outdoor pool
Cons:
poor and expensive internet
The Enchantment of the Seas was a beautiful ship and very clean. They had a pool called the Solarium that was like a Roman bath. The water was salt water and very refreshing. The glass roof could move away so the pool was outside but in cooler weather if closed to keep it warm. This was my favorite spot on the ship. No children were allowed in this area. The big outside pool was noisy with lots of music that I am sure someone else would like. I enjoyed the jogging track on Deck 10. It was a 1/4 mile once around. Overall this was a wonderful trip. My husband found the internet expensive and very slow. There was an internet lounge to get internet but not enough plugs for laptops.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The ship was extremely clean, the public areas were pretty and kept with the nautical theme.
Dining/Food
The Windjammer cafe was perfect for eating quickly to enjoy more of the beach. My Fair Lady dining room was elegant but too large so there was a lot of noise at dinner. For lunch and breakfast the dining room was a pleasant volume. At dinner I felt we were smushed together to accomodate all the tables. The quality of the food and service were tremendous.
Stateroom Quality
Overall, very clean and well maintained. The room steward made towel folded animals each night. It wsa difficult to walk around the bed to get to the bathroom. Once we unpacked and put our suitcases in the closet there was not much room. The room had nice wall sconces and it was well lit. I liked the wall switch by the bed to turn off the over head lights. This was an inside room. I have cruised before and I thought the room was a little small.
Ship Staff Quality
T he staff was friendly and fun. The staff was definitely well trained. We did not require any extra services.
Entertainment & Activities
There was plenty to do. We went to trivia and had fun and it was challangeing. The dnce lessons ere too easy for us. The big shows were well done but I felt they had been cleaned up for children. The classical music in the main lobby was beautiful, both classical guitar and another group was violin and piano. The schedule was fine.

Horseshoe beach was outstanding. There was a step climb back to the top but iff you are not hardy they had a mini van that would drive you to the top for $2! Hamilton was a cute little town with some shopping. The water taxis were on strike but when we arrive the ship said they would run just to Hamilton and the ship. We took the bus to the beach and thne then the bus to Hamilton. We were hoping to take the water taxi back to the ship but there was sign stating 4pm and then 7:30Pm was the nest one. Hmmm we thought, does the toen want us to stay for dinner as opposed to eating at the ship. If the water taxis had run we would have gone to St. Georges, everyone said it was great. On our 1/2 day, the next, day my husband swamm with the dolfins and he really liked this. I explored the dock yard. I wish I has done the Maritime Museum and snorkel in a shipwreck. The island of Bermuda was very clean and easy to get around on the buses.

THERE WAS JUST NOT ENOUGH TIME TO EXPLORE ENOUGH OF BELIZE... IT IS A WONDERFUL PLACE!!!! WE WENT ON THE ZIP LINE, FERRATA, AND RAPPLELING EXCURSION THROUGH THE JUNGLE AND CAVES. I CANNOT EXPRESS THE BEAUTY AND VASTNESS OF THE JUNGLES AND CAVES THERE. THIS WAS PROBALY THE BEST EXCURSION BUT NOT FOR ANYONE WHO IS OF ILL HEALTH... THERE WAS UNSTABLE WALKING UP AND DOWN THE MOUNTAINS THROUGH THE JUNGLE INTO A 3 MILE WALK WITHIN THE CAVES ACROSS A ZIP LINE, RAPPELING DOWN THE SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN INTO THE JUNGLE, A WALK ACROSS A ROPE BRIDGE. IT TOOK QUITE AWHILE TO GET TO THE SITE BUT WELL WORTH THE DRIVE, THAT WAS SCENIC IN ITSELF. YOU GET A DRIVE THROUGH THE NEIGHBORHOODS OF BELIZE AND IT MAKES YOU GREATFUL FOR THE CONDITIONS WE HAVE. AGAIN THE ONLY DOWNFALL I HAVE WAS THERE WAS JUST NOT ENOUGH TIME TO SHOP OR SEE ONE FRACTION OF WHAT BELIZE HAS TO OFFER, GORGEOUS COUNRTYSIDE AND I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO DIVE AND VISIT THE MAYAN RUINS AND GO SCUBA DIVING IN THE BIG BLUE HOLE. AND VISIT ETC

A SMALL ISLAND, WE DID ONE EXCURSION. THE ATV AND THEN SNORKELING TOUR. THE TERRAIN IS ROUGH SO IF YOU ARE NOT IN GOOD HEALTH DONT GO. IT WAS EXCITING AND COOL TO SEE HOW DIFFERENT THE ISLAND WAS FROM FLORIDA, BUT OTHER THAN THE EXCITEMENT OF THE ATV RIDE I WOULD NOT HAVE DONE IT AGAIN. i HEARD THE 3 REEF SNORKELING EXCURSION WAS AWSOME. WHILE SHOPPING YOU WILL GET HAGGLED FROM THE LOCALS... LOL... ALL WANTING YOU TO BUY FROM THEM SO JUST SAY NO THANKS AND WALK OFF OR YOU ARE DOOMED. LOL...

AWESOME CRUISE!
by Melinda W from Springfield, MO
Sailing date:
Sep 2008
Pros:
Great service, excellent room, beautiful atmosphere
Cons:
My husband had set up a birthday surprise for me and they didn't get it to me at the time they said they would. Belize was very disappointing, not as I expected at all. I had heard it was beautiful and instead it was very poor and dirty.
The ship was beautiful. Plenty of things to do and the staff was EXCELLENT!

Good spaces and food but bad management
by Juan V from Panama
Sailing date:
Nov 2008
Pros:
Architectural spaces
Cons:
Bad management and coordination
I think this ship has very nice spaces and good food quality. But the guest service management is very poor and the coordination between activities are bad too. At the second day of cruise I request for an appointment with the cruise director because I have experience in cruising and I am still waiting. The activities are too short and that makes that it is impossible to make an environment to enjoy them. The restaurants are very well attended and you can feel good there. Our cabin was dirty and the bathroom with bad smell.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The ship isnt well painted, it has many parts oxide. In my experience a cruise ship has to be painted in every port I didnt see it in this cruise. The public areas have good appearance but in some parts lack of cleanliness.
Dining/Food
This is a good point for this cruise.
Stateroom Quality
The cabin was good, but the stateroom attendant didnt change the linen in the whole cruise. The only exception was the towels. She was knocking the door to "clean" the stateroom too early in the morning and if you spend more time in your cabin you lose the turn to make the room.
Ship Staff Quality
The only exception was the captain and crew members. The staff had only a repeating tape when you ask something.
Entertainment & Activities
I think they didnt coordinate the activities. They cut the good ones shortly.
Children's Programs
The children activities were very poor in this cruise. Few children in this cruise, maybe in other route become better.
