Terrific experience! by
A Traveler from Greensboro, NC Sailing date: Jul 2006Pros: The ship is set up to allow you the most pleasant experience possible. The staff is great, open seating is fun, talks are informative. Overall a very positive cruise! A few of the shows were a little weak. The business center was a little slow but other than that it was all thumbs up! Entertainment & Activities

  Shopping trip by
Joyce D. from Oswego, IL Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: The ship Cons: All the sales pitches. All the lines to get on and off ship, sometimes as many as 4 lines. Would recommend this cruise to people who want to shop.
Princess people sent us on the wrong excursion so missed out on that. Still waiting to hear if I have to pay for something I didn't get. Ship Quality

  Princess Cruise lines by
stephen r from san francisco, ca Sailing date: May 2009Pros: not a lot Cons: the constant sales picthes on the ship I am so glad that this trip was only 2 days, I could not handle being on this boat for a full 7 days, and I cruse a lot. On this trip, I was very dissapointed, the food was all starch, and bread, wow, they must be on a budget. And the most annyoing part were all the sales pitches, everything your invited too, is followed by them trying to sell you stuff, massages, spa pakcages, etc.. why cant they just be nice and offere some real service upon selling everything, this is so annoying, maybe if they were just blunt about it then fine, but to sneak it in everywhere, thats what I hate most. do they really think we are that stupid... Ship Qualitythe weather was cold so it was not a fun atmostphere. Dining/Foodnot bad, but skimpy.... Stateroom Qualitypoor, nothing special about it Ship Staff Qualityeveryone was friendly, and if you buy something more so, but if you dont buy, dont think you will feel special Entertainment & Activitiesboring on this ship 6 out of 9 people found this review helpful.

  Great time. by
Fred from ME Sailing date: Apr 2007We had a great time on this cruise, the weather was great. The excursions were a lot of fun. On the ship all of the staff were really nice, especially our steward and waiter who were friendly and helpful. We are planning another cruise soon and would recommend the Star Princess. Activities: A lot of equipment, aerobic and weights. Entertainment: Our only neagtive was that because we had late dining, we missed a lot of the enterainment.

Cozumel, Mexico
George Town, Grand Cayman
Ocho Rios, JamaicaZiplining was great.
We did the Canopy tour and it was great, the thrill of gliding through the rainforest was awesome, then the hike out through the beauty of the rainforest was great. Then some shopping for souvenirs and some coffee and our stay was over but is something we will remember for long time.
Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)Great snorkeling.
I went ashore early and went right in snorkleing, it was great, fish everywhere. I was in for a while then got out and rested when I went back in, it was crowded, so get out there early. Good cookout, a long line though.

Excellent cruise. Could not have been an by
Pati from Madisonville, TN, US Sailing date: Apr 2007Pros: To many to list. Loved the size of rooms, loved balcony, loved layout of ship. Lots of pools and lounges. Only ship I have ever heard of that you do not have to wait for elevators - they are everywhere. Princess Cruises certainly lived up to it's reputation of being a wonderful experience. Balcony is the only way to go! Would not change a thing and can't wait to go back!! Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment: While we did not take advantage of this much, what we did see was great

  Beautiful Ship! by
Louise from Franklin, MA Sailing date: Apr 2007Pros: The bars and restaurants had very comfortable tables and chairs with wonderful views of the water during the day. The ship's decor was very pleasing to the eye. The ports of call were great! No waiting in line to enter or leave the boat. The decor was very pleasant and tasteful. The day at their private island was wonderful and well organized. We celebrated our wedding anniversary with balloons and a beautiful cake. The sunsets from the panoramic bar were out of this world! I would highly recommend this ship to my friends. Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment: The entertainment was ok. Typical shows for a cruise!

Cozumel, MexicoCozumel.
Cozumel was a lot of fun! This was my second visit. The drinks at Fat Tuesdays are great! The shopping is excellent! The people are pleasant! We had a typical Mexican lunch at Cafe Denis. This was recommended by a Mexican merchant.
Don't Miss: Just walking around and looking at the shops was fun. We saw performers on the street. We took a horsedrawn carriage ride. George Town, Grand CaymanGrand Cayman.
This was my second visit to Grand Cayman. The first time, we swam with the stingrays. This was an interesting experience to say the least! This time around, we took a ride on the Jolly Roger, which was a total rip off. The speaker wasn't working properly, and all they do is to drive up a street, stop for five minutes, then back down the same street. We were packed like sardines on the train. My husband had to sit on the edge of the seat, as they sat five people on a seat meant to be for four people. I wouldn't recommend this tour!
Don't Miss: The shopping area was very pretty and had lots of beautiful stores. The seven-mile beach is beautiful. If you want adventure, then a swim with the stingrays would be fun. Ocho Rios, JamaicaOcho Rios.
I would have totally loved Ocho Rios if it hadn't been for the merchants badgering us every five minutes trying to sell us junk. We had fun walking up the falls. The transfers from the boat and back went really well. We had a great lunch at a jerk chicken restaurant, but again, we were badgered by a person selling beads, etc. "No Thank You" is not enough to discourage them, they still keep on following you.
Don't Miss: I would recommend Ocho Rios for the walk up the falls. It was a fun experience, and the staff was very helpful. Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)Princess Cay.
This was a wonderful day at the beach. Go early so that you can find a chair at the sandy beach. We ended up at the second beach and walking in the water was pretty rocky. Wear beach shoes. The snorkeling was fun! The shops were nice! The bar-b-cue was pretty good too! There were a lot of different water activities. The kayak was fun!

  my Baltic cruise experience by
A Traveler from Vancouver , Canada Sailing date: Aug 2010Pros: The tours. Cons: The nightly entertainment The ship was princess cruise and it was really great experience in spite of the ship's size,
which was a big one. They were extremely efficient therefore things moved smoothly. The
ship's itinery was a great one and we really enjoyed every minute of it. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodThe staff were very professional and efficient Stateroom QualityExcellent cleaning crew kept the rooms very clean. Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & ActivitiesThe nightly entertainment was extremely boring and not worth anybody's time. In fact it was the only part of our cruise we did not enjoy.
