Great Time
by James H from Charlotte NC
Sailing date:

Pros:
The great attention to detail by the crew
Cons:
The computer room and the person running it
We had a wonderful time on the cruise. The ship and the crew were awesome and paid great attention to detail. The food and wait staff were excellent. I would suggest this cruise to anyone who really needs to get away and needs some relaxation.

Pros:
The service and organization
Cons:

I found everything to be beyond my expectations. The service and the organization to get everyone off and on the ship was friendly and quick. The ship was beautiful and clean. I loved it all.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The ship was clean and up to date. There was something for everyone.
Dining/Food
I enjoyed the anytime dining. The food was very good and the selection on the menu was great. Nothing was repeated. The food service was excellent.
Stateroom Quality
The beds were very comfortable and nice and warm. The room was big enough for two. We did not spend time in the room other than to sleep and shower. It was clean and nice.
Ship Staff Quality
The best! EVERYONE was helpful and friendly. Whatever we needed was taken care of. A plus!
Entertainment & Activities
There was something for everyone. If you were bored, it was your own fault.

Ports of Call:
Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey
Ephesus was very interesting and worth the visit.
Don't Miss:
Ephesus
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
Well, it's Rome! We definitely needed more time. I would return for a week visit. The Vatican is too crowded, I did not care to see it. I enjoyed walking around the city.
Istanbul, Turkey
The people were very friendly and the city was so different than I thought. I would return with more time to explore.
Don't Miss:
I enjoyed the cistern.
Mykonos, Greece
Beautiful! What I pictured the Greek Isles to be.
Don't Miss:
Getting lost in the winding streets.
Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy
Pisa was prettier than I thought. The buildings were beautiful. Florence was my favorite city. I would return for a week to see more.
Don't Miss:
The view from across the bridge.
Monte Carlo, Monaco
It was very clean. The old part of the city was beautiful. There was not much else to do there. I would not return.
Don't Miss:
The ancient part of the city.
Naples, Italy
The city itself was not much. The trash was not pretty. I don;t think I would return unless to visit the Amalfi coast.
Don't Miss:
Vesuvius was great.
Piraeus (Athens), Greece
Other than the Parthenon I didn't find much else there. The city is large and dirty. I would not return to Athens.
Don't Miss:
Parthenon
Venice, Italy
I loved everything in Venice. I especially loved Burano. I don't care to spend my days in museums. I love to walk around and feel the energy of the city. One church is like another, so I only look outside.
Don't Miss:
Must do the boat ride to Murano and Burano.

Great time.
by Fred from ME
Sailing date:
Apr 2007
We had a great time on this cruise, the weather was great. The excursions were a lot of fun. On the ship all of the staff were really nice, especially our steward and waiter who were friendly and helpful. We are planning another cruise soon and would recommend the Star Princess. Activities: A lot of equipment, aerobic and weights. Entertainment: Our only neagtive was that because we had late dining, we missed a lot of the enterainment.

Ziplining was great. We did the Canopy tour and it was great, the thrill of gliding through the rainforest was awesome, then the hike out through the beauty of the rainforest was great. Then some shopping for souvenirs and some coffee and our stay was over but is something we will remember for long time.
Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)
Great snorkeling. I went ashore early and went right in snorkleing, it was great, fish everywhere. I was in for a while then got out and rested when I went back in, it was crowded, so get out there early. Good cookout, a long line though.

Cozumel was the best port for shopping on our Western Carribbean cruise.

The shopping and the Mayan ruins.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Grand Caymons is a very pretty island and the water is shallow and clear so it is easy to see the fish at almost any point. It is an ideal location to pariticipate in water excursions.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)
Princess Cays has a beautiful beach and the feel of a tropical island.

Fantastic cruise.
by Rick from Lancaster, PA
Sailing date:
Apr 2007
Pros:
The ship, Princess Star, was really large. It was a real beauty ! We liked everything about the ship(including 4 pools).
We have gone twice with another cruise line, but Princess was a "cut above" the other cruise line. Everyone on the staff were so friendly and accomodating. The ship was immaculate in cleanliness, the food was excellent, and our cabin accomodations were wonderful (Ocean view window). Our only regret was that we didn't spend the extra money for a balcony room. We will next trip! And we would certainly recommend Princess Cruises to our relatives and friends.

Cozumel Mexico - Great Shopping Bargains and Food. We shopped the streets of Cozumel; looks like a poorer mexican town. We ate lunch at Pancho's (recommended by Princess) and the food and service was great. Authentic Mexican cuisine!
Don't Miss:
Pancho's. There is also a nice cave/snorkling adventure.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Grand Caymen. Plenty of shops in Georgetown; but our Island Excursion - visit to turtle farm, Hell and the Rum factory. We were pushed too quickly on this excursion and did not really have the time to look around much.
Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)
Great Day in the Bahamas on Princess Cay! What an enjoyable day on Princess Cay! Floats, sailboats, paddle boats, snorkling, sunbathing and a great outdoor barbeque provided by Princess. What a great last day!

Pros:
To many to list. Loved the size of rooms, loved balcony, loved layout of ship. Lots of pools and lounges. Only ship I have ever heard of that you do not have to wait for elevators - they are everywhere.
Princess Cruises certainly lived up to it's reputation of being a wonderful experience. Balcony is the only way to go! Would not change a thing and can't wait to go back!!

Mexican Cuisine. Beach at resort was beautiful. Shoppping.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Margaritaville was one of the funnest places I have ever been. Great entertainment. Second time there and loved it!!

Margaritaville.

Want to do it again!!! Had a great day in Ochos Rios. Did Bamboo Beach club then walking around town. Margaritaville was very fun!

Margaritaville.

Beautiful Ship!
by Louise from Franklin, MA
Sailing date:
Apr 2007
Pros:
The bars and restaurants had very comfortable tables and chairs with wonderful views of the water during the day. The ship's decor was very pleasing to the eye.
The ports of call were great! No waiting in line to enter or leave the boat. The decor was very pleasant and tasteful. The day at their private island was wonderful and well organized. We celebrated our wedding anniversary with balloons and a beautiful cake. The sunsets from the panoramic bar were out of this world! I would highly recommend this ship to my friends.

Cozumel. Cozumel was a lot of fun! This was my second visit. The drinks at Fat Tuesdays are great! The shopping is excellent! The people are pleasant! We had a typical Mexican lunch at Cafe Denis. This was recommended by a Mexican merchant.
Don't Miss:
Just walking around and looking at the shops was fun. We saw performers on the street. We took a horsedrawn carriage ride.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Grand Cayman. This was my second visit to Grand Cayman. The first time, we swam with the stingrays. This was an interesting experience to say the least! This time around, we took a ride on the Jolly Roger, which was a total rip off. The speaker wasn't working properly, and all they do is to drive up a street, stop for five minutes, then back down the same street. We were packed like sardines on the train. My husband had to sit on the edge of the seat, as they sat five people on a seat meant to be for four people. I wouldn't recommend this tour!
Don't Miss:
The shopping area was very pretty and had lots of beautiful stores. The seven-mile beach is beautiful. If you want adventure, then a swim with the stingrays would be fun.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Ocho Rios. I would have totally loved Ocho Rios if it hadn't been for the merchants badgering us every five minutes trying to sell us junk. We had fun walking up the falls. The transfers from the boat and back went really well. We had a great lunch at a jerk chicken restaurant, but again, we were badgered by a person selling beads, etc. "No Thank You" is not enough to discourage them, they still keep on following you.
Don't Miss:
I would recommend Ocho Rios for the walk up the falls. It was a fun experience, and the staff was very helpful.
Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)
Princess Cay. This was a wonderful day at the beach. Go early so that you can find a chair at the sandy beach. We ended up at the second beach and walking in the water was pretty rocky. Wear beach shoes. The snorkeling was fun! The shops were nice! The bar-b-cue was pretty good too! There were a lot of different water activities. The kayak was fun!
