Wonderful service.
by Christopher from Grants Pass, OR
Sailing date:
Apr 2007
Pros:
The entire ship is wonderful! If you want excellent views, then I recommend visiting Skywalker's night club. Day or night, you can see for miles.
Cruising with Princess is extremely personal. The make every attempt at making you feel like they are there for only you. They will try and accomidate every need or want that you may have. The service is excellent and the staff are helpful and friendly. Every attempt is made to make you feel like you are home. So many activities and so much fun! My wife and I will definitely cruise with Princess again and again.

Acapulco, Mexico
Acapulco. We did not enjoy Acapulco. It is very smoggy and too busy for us. Granted, we did not get out of town, but, we would not go back.
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Puerto Vallarta is a must see destination! Puerto Vallarta is beautiful! The locals were very friendly and were not pushy for you to enter their stores, like further south in Mexico. We had the best meal while in Puerto Vallarta at the Blue Shrimp. The had the freshest and best tasting shrimp I have ever had in my life. If you get to Puerto Vallarta make sure you take the time to eat there. You will not regret it!
Don't Miss:
The Blue Shrimp, Del Sol and Diamonds International.
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Cabo San Lucas is wonderful! If you like to just relax and enjoy your surroundings the Cabo is the place to go! We thouroughly enjoyed ourselves in Cabo. We just walked around and looked at most everything. The highlight of our trip here was parasailing. We would recommed it to everybody!
Don't Miss:
Parasailing, Cabo is evern more beautiful from the air!
Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa, Mexico

OK week.
by Peggy from Gilbert, AZ
Sailing date:
Jul 2007
Pros:
The nice pool areas, although it was too cold to swim and the spas were always crowded (and their central location was not very inviting - it seemed like the people in the spas were on stage!).
Our exciting (but expensive) excursion choices are what we enjoyed about the cruise. The ship itself was nice, but not exceptional. Our room condition really dampened our enjoyment of the week. The food was good, although we often had hard time understanding / communicating with our waiters. There were a few evenings where there was nothing to do - we don't drink or gamble - so we ended up watching the less-than-exciting television channel choices in the room. We give it 4 out of 10.

Our carpet was a mess - there were spots in various locations. Our steward tried to remove them, but it didn't help. Very disappointing.
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment: The quality of shows was not good. The magician was embarrasing. The juggler was good but his show was too short and crowded (it was in one of the lounges instead of the main theater). The movies were always offered at inconvenient times. The comedian was the only show really worth watching.

Zip line! We loved the zip line excursion - the guides were great, the whole experience was a blast.
Don't Miss:
The zip line excursion.
Skagway, Alaska
Our favorite - Skagway. It wasn't raining, which was a change from Juneau. We did the helicopter ride and rock climbing excursions and were very impressed with the young people who instructed us there. The town was quaint and beautiful.
Don't Miss:
The helicopter glacier trip.
Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska
The "best weather" day. It was a long trip up and back but the weather was nice (the only day it wasn't cloudy and dreary and we couldn't even get off the ship!). It was a little boring, but the scenery was beautiful.
Don't Miss:
The glacier at the end of the passageway.

Pros:
the cruise was perfect for a cruise. We went to great ports
Cons:
I wanted more time on the land
The ship was perfect! There could be some POSITIVE encouragement for the singles to meet. Maybe they want someone just to talk with regardless of gender. Even Alaska is a little better when shared!

Pros:
Breath-taking views and wonderful shore excursions.
Cons:
Food wasn't as good as other cruises I've taken
The ship was standard in many respects, but tastefully decorated and seemed to cater to the older crowd which was drawn to this cruise.

We'll be back!
by Sue from Arizona
Sailing date:
Jun 2007
Pros:
The itinerary to Alaska.
Our family of four had a great time, overall, on this cruise. Alaska was spectacular. I can't wait to go again -- further north next time, I hope. The staff was great and my children had a wonderful time, too. The food was good to very good (not outstanding) and plentiful if you took advantage of the buffet and other casual dining options. Cabins were very nice.
Ship Details:
Entertainment & Activities
Activities: I would have enjoyed a few more "family" activities. Entertainment: Performers were good (except the magician).

Juneau - whales, wow! Go see the whales! We had many, many sightings of humpback whales on our catamaran voyage.
Don't Miss:
The Whales!
Ketchikan, Alaska
Lumberjack show - better than I thought it would be. We went to the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show because it seemed like the "obvious" choice. But, we all had a really fun time. Adults and kids were all able to enjoy it together.
Skagway, Alaska
Great town/Great Railroad. The White Pass & Yukon RR trip was wonderful. There were walls of snow at the summit. The scenery was spectacular.
Don't Miss:
White Pass & Yukon RR.
Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska
Glacier Watching. Beautiful scenic cruising of Tracy Arm area from the cruise ship. We went in early June -- be prepared to bundle up.
Don't Miss:
GO out on deck - bundle up - bring binoculars and enjoy the serenity.

Alaska Inside Passage Cruise was Great.
by Susan B from Trenton, NJ
Sailing date:
Jul 2010
Pros:
Food and service on Golden Princess was excellent.
Cons:
Winds prevented us from docking at Victoria, BC. We just anchored off shore for 4 hours. I felt the cruise ship should have compensated us in some way. If they went further out to sea they could have at least opened up the casino.
Golden Princess Alaska Inside Passage cruise was Wonderful. Food was Delicious. Staff was friendly.

A wonderful cruise.
by Joseph Herrmann from Sacramento, CA
Sailing date:
Apr 2010
Pros:
Dining and entertainment
Cons:
Dealing with the elevators and the tiny shower.
The Staff was wonderful and the food was good. We enjoyed the cafe for our lunch, especially the Quiches. It was the first time we had an inside cabin. We would have enjoyed a cabin with a view as we could never determine daylight. Hopefully, we can have better accomodations next cruise.
Ship Details:

Ship size too large, difficulty in taking an elevator.

Shower area too small - otherwise statement was very clean and comfortable in spite of being an inside cabin.
