Not the best one we have been on by Jill S from Chicago
Sailing date: Feb 2012

Pros:
The weather

Cons:
Staff seemed "off"

The ship was ok. You could feel the ship moving a lot - more than when we were on the Freedom. It was clean, but the cleaning carts were in the hallways at all times. The chairs by the pool were so tightly packed together there was zero space to get between them. People had to climb onto their chairs from the front. The boat was packed like I have never seen before.

Like I stated above- the crew seemed "off". Like they were all having a bad day. There were a couple that were friendly, but for the most part the majority seemed to be in a bad mood. The guy at the excursions desk was down right arrogant.

The shows were nice. Hairspray on the Oasis has been the best show by far though from all the RC ship's I have been on. Loved that one!!

Awesome Cruise by A Traveler from Atlanta, GA
Sailing date: Feb 2012

Pros:
Service

Cons:
Weather

This was my first time sailing on the Liberty of the Seas and will not be the last. The ship itself was amazing and Royal Caribbean keeps it in great shape. The service was amazing. From the room attendant to the waiters, everyone was very attentive and helpful. The only downside was weather at the ports of call. This cruise went to Labadee, Haiti and Falmouth, Jamaica. We experienced brief rain showers in Haiti but Royal Caribbean can't control that.

The staff on Liberty of the Seas are amazing. I witnessed the dealers at the Casino taking time to teach new players on games and strategy. The bartenders remember names which is impressive on a ship of this size (tips help). The stateroom attendant was very attentive and not intrusive. Also our waiter and assistant waiter in the dining room were amazing. My water glass never went empty and the food was quick. I even witnessed the head waiter cut our tablemate's food (shrimp I think).

Huge ship! by Anne D. from Scappoose, OR
Sailing date: Feb 2012

Pros:
great balconly room, beautiful ship, excellent service

Cons:
we are very rural - way too many people for us!

It was beautiful and I am sure everything a person could want. It was just too many people for our comfort. Both "at sea" days were rainy, so we didn't really get to enjoy the top decks - pools, etc. We loved our balcony room - nice to quietly enjoy the views.

Dining/Food
We only ate in the dining room once - for lunch. One of the people sitting with us was very unhappy - sent her meal back 3 times and still not happy. We are pretty quiet people - maybe not social enough for a cruise. Eating meals with strangers is kind of weird... The food was good, although the choices limited. We didn't realize until too late that lobster was only offered for dinner one night. The buffet was very busy. We did have very nice little meals - room service, pizza, little sandwiches in the coffee shop, and Johnny Rockets.

A wonderful cruise!! by Kyungmin P from Gainesville, FL
Sailing date: Dec 2011

Pros:
I liked food and activities.

Cons:
Q&A : You could have stated clearly about visa (What kind of visa we have to prepare)

We recently sailed on the Liberty of the Seas for the first time. Because it was our first cruise I had to read the instruction carefully and prepared all documents and personal belongings. It took long time at that time. But I think that I can do it easily next time. At the pier when I first saw the cruise, I thought it was awesome. I've never seen such a big and beautiful cruise. It contained restaurants, a fantastic pool area and a nightclub. We really like Royal Caribbean's style, service, and innovative ships, and the new Enchantment did not disappoint. Especially, restaurant is beautiful and cozy, the service was even better than the already great service the dining room staff usually delivers, and the steaks and chops were outstanding, comparable to any great steak house. The Windjammer buffet really isn't a "buffet" anymore, now it's like a cool marketplace/food court with many more choices, stations you can approach from all sides (so no endless line!). Very wide-open and airy feeling, a huge step up from the typical ship buffet. We loved all the nightlife options. I didn't enjoy the show because I am not good at English, but, the actors seemed great. In fact, we mostly stayed at swimming pool and casino. The dealer was so kind and explained the rule in detail even if we didn't know the rule of BlackJack well. As for our stateroom, it was a nice decision for us to choose 8th floor. If you're not afraid of heights, it's an amazing sight! Our stateroom was cozy and had some new features (really liked the new shower 'door" vs the old curtains which always got the floor soaked). Lots of new storage elements have been aded, easy to unpack and fell like there was a place for everything. Overall we have to say the ship was really impressive, the staff was wonderful as always, and even if you've sailed on Enchantment before, she's worth a second look.

Amazing, really organized, lots of fun. by A Traveler from Fort Lauderdale, FL
Sailing date: Dec 2011

Pros:
Activities on board, food, destinations

Cons:
Boat didn't leave on time, and had to tender at one of the piers

The staff is incredible. The cruise director Mike and Rich did a great job putting together and executing the programs on board. All the shows were spectacularly produced. The food options, even for vegetarians was surprisingly good. The wait staff was superior, and took the upmost care of us during our trip. I will definitely cruise RC again!

Enjoyable time both on and off the ship by Bill M.  from Fort Lauderdale, FL
Sailing date: Nov 2011

Pros:
Shore Excusions, service, and bountiful food

Cons:
Some shows where hit/miss, cost of drinks, minor hidden costs

From the ship's cleanliness to the stellar service to the entertainment onboard, we enjoyed our stay and received more than we expected. We had a good time both on and off the ship and we wiil ikely cruise again. Highly recommend that you experience and explore another country through the shore excursions. This makes the trip most memorable.

The entire ship was clean, well maintained, and organized. Our room was clean and the layout seemed to make it easy to travel from one side of the ship the other. Interactive screens by each elevator allow you to scroll through activities for the day and provide useful maps to find your destinations.

Dining/Food
At Seattles Best in the Promenade delight in complimentary coffee or packaged hot chocolate anytime. Also complimentary is a selection of artisan sandwiches with a selection of great meats and cheese, pizzas and desserts anytime you desire. Your free beverage choices will be: water, milk, iced tea, basic lemonade, and coffee. We broke our dependence of coca-cola during this cruise and didn't spring for the pre-paid beverage/ wine packages. Coke is served at the sit-down dinner. There are two causal and two formal nights but the formal fashion police, mandating tie and jackets, were nowhere to be found and your average man can get away with any collared shirt but dressier attire is recommended. The cuisine served at the two nights was a higher quality than the Windjammer buffet but the desserts were far better at the buffet due to a sweeter selection. We also enjoyed a quality steak at Chops Grille one night.

Stateroom Quality
Our 7th floor room was spectacular and spacious with a 3-person couch and ample room in the closet for our bags. Upgrading to a basic balcony stateroom was definitely worth it! There we enjoyed coffee and the occasional cigar on the balcony watching the waves roll by. The housekeeping was top notch. We found our stateroom attendant delightful. She was friendly, not overly chatty and to our bewilderment folded dirty clothes we left out. She was meticulous too, as I witnessed her wipe down the balcony chairs. The interior decor was modern with flat screen TVs.

Ship Staff Quality
Staff are helpful, courteous, and like passengers, from all around the world. During the quizzes and game activities many noticed the answers to quizzes relating to pop-culture did not translate well, leaving many guests yearning to yell out correct pronunciations. On our cruise, staff overall seemed happy and eager to please.

Entertainment & Activities
From the movies to the shows, its all free. The theater is impressive, spacious and comfortable and they show current 3D movies. The comedian, adult games, and the farewell show were highly entertaining, but some stage performers were hit and miss (dated material). If you arent sure you will like whats playing, sit in the back for a quick and discreet exit! Bring ample cash for the casino and to play some slightly over-priced arcade games. Try your hand at blackjack and roulette anytime with no waiting! The dealers were patient and friendly and other players share in your joy of winning. Play free trivia games throughout the day, where you can win illustrious prizes (a highlighter or keychain). Most activities run anywhere from 20 minutes to under an hour. Spend a chunk of money on the chance to win a cruise or cash at Bingo, but it's not very exciting. Try ice-skating! Also, topside on pooldeck, play ping-pong, sunbathe, have a drink, or watch people wipeout on the FloRider.

Amazing trip and a great value! by GiGi M. from Sarasota, FL.
Sailing date: Oct 2011

Pros:
Hard to say just one thing. Food, entertainment, ports we went to.

Cons:
The ship made a lot of noise when we hit choppy waters. Our room attendant complained about his job and so did our waiter.

Getting on board went very smoothly, it seems that since they went to online check in they move much quicker. Our stateroom was a balcony stateroom (not a suite) and it was plenty of room for my Mother and I. The bed was very comfortable. Regarding food I am not a huge fan of buffets so even though my Mom preferred the Windjammer for all of its diversity I preferred the dining room for all three meals. My favorite was the lunch salad they let you choose what you want then they chop it. We decided to do the late dining and was happy while we were in ports but not so happy once we were at sea for 7 days because we were hungry a lot of times earlier. I would recommend the anytime dining and signing up for it before the ship sales since it booked up right after we set sail. We did excursions in almost every port so it is hard to say if we would have had more fun on our own. There were some ports where there was really nothing to do unless you did an excursion. They can add up though if you are on a long cruise. My best advice is to research each port before going to see if the area of interest is within walking distance of the ship. The ship we were on was the Liberty of the seas and it was huge to me. I know that they have made larger ships now but I cannot imagine what for. There always seemed as though there was something to do an somewhere to go. We took advantage of the enrichment seminars, ice shows, theatre and a few of the "games". All were well done and entertaining. There are a lot of places on the ship to escape and hang. My favorite was the Vintage room where I could pour myself a glass of wine and snuggle up in a comfortable chair to read. They also offered wifi on the ship so that was very convenient. Our room attendant was not 100% but it did not effect our overall trip really, he was just a complainer. Turns out so was our waiter who rarely broke a smile but again it did not adversely affect our trip. The wonderful people we were sitting with made up for the waiter. The only time I felt as though things were not handled well was leaving the ship. We were one of the lasts which we had planned on but customs had held it up so long that we were almost 2 hours late. Then once off the boat we waited in a monster line with very aggravated people. We had to carry our own luggage since there were no available porters so needless to say a few hours in we were not happy. Other than that the trip was a huge success and even with 7 days at seas, choppy weather and a creaky boat we had a blast. Royal Caribbean does it well.

Liberty of the Seas is a Great Ship by LLL from Rye, NH
Sailing date: Feb 2010

Pros:
The ship is excellent. Staff as well. New, Clean, Professional.

Cons:
Windjammer buffet. Costa Maya and Belize ports of call.

Overall impression is very good. I like four and five star facilities, so I am picky. The ship looked new, clean and impressive. We had a balcony, and I highly recommend paying for it..it gives extra space and adds to the experience. We had two children with us, the coach was turned into a double bed each evening and was quite comfortable. I beleive we paid a bit extra for an extra 20 square feet and the assurance of a pull out. The room was very comforatble and there was plenty of space for our clothes (we had five suitcases)!.

The buffet in the windjammer was mediocre, as were the sit down lunches. The dinners were very good, not "WOW", but no complaints. (again, I am a tough critic). We had My Time dining and it worked out great. Missed the traditional grand buffet presentations with flowers and ice sculptures..you could tell they were cutting back on "the touches" and excess.

very nice. Clean. Enough room so that we didn't feel cramped. We had an extra 20 square feet and a balcony. I contemplated whether to spend the extra on a balcony, as I knew we wouldn't be in our room that often...SO GLAD I splurged...definately adds to the experience.

Our staterom attendent made out trip. Selwyn was so kind, thoughtful and attentive. We had a couple of special requests, if at all possible...and he went out of his way to accomodate. He loved spoiling our girls with towel animals and special hellos. The My Time reservation manager and the hostess of the dining room were also "above and beyond". My girls opted not to participate in the programs, as it appeared that they were combining all ages 12 through 17. (they are usually broken out 12-14, and 14-17). The staff seemed friendly. The schedule ran very late for 12 to 14 year olds (many things started at 10PM)
