Great way to travel by

H. from Tampa, FL Sailing date: Dec 2012Pros: relaxing, great staff, great experience on a wonderful ship Cons: Smoking in the casino, the whole 6 floor smelled like smoke, the theater, made it terrible Great trip, the smoke in the casino was terrible. Very annoying to walk by and be in. I played the tables, but not for very long due to the smoke. Even at tables where you couldn't smoke it was terrible. Ship Quality

A nice getaway by
A Traveler from Citrus County, FL Sailing date: Dec 2012Pros: The public rooms were beautiful Cons: Tight balcony stateroom This was our first time on a Royal Caribbean ship so we were comparing it with our (so far favorite) previous Holland America cruises. It was also the first time we chose a balcony. Loved the balcony but found the stateroom cramped. Food was good in the Tides with excellent service; in the Windjammer there were lots of choices. We did not especially like the entertainment (the last show was aborted due to technical difficulties) and the activities did not entice us. However, we had a good time, made new friends, and enjoyed being on board. Ship Quality

A super fantastic cruise by

Our BEST cruise so far by
A Traveler from Tampa, Fl Sailing date: Apr 2012Pros: great room, staff, service, food, layout of the ship, shows Cons: none This was our 5th cruise and our 1st on Royal Caribbean. Also our 1st 5 night cruise. We were a little skeptical at 1st on doing 5 nights but glad we did. The Jewel of the Seas is a perfect ship with just the right things to do. I cannot list them all but it simply was the best in every category. The adult pool/hot tub area was great. There were even pool tables and they are self leveling....crazy good. Also, spend a little more and get a balcony!!!The shows were great with several special guests. You won't be disappointed Ship Quality

A great cruise! by

Dining/FoodThe Chops Steakhouse was great, well worth the $30 per person charge. Portofino, the Italian restaurant was also good, but similar to the food in the DIning Room so not as worth the $20 per person charge. Both were delicious though. Stateroom Quality

Totally Impressed by

Cons: Our cruise was over spring break so there were a few too many unsupervised children. It was our first cruise and we were completely satisfied from the moment we got onboard. Our inside stateroom was comfortable and quiet. Our attendant met all our needs and was helpful in everyway. Even with 2k+ on board there was never a feeling of being crowded We were advised by friends to prepay our gratuities before hand and that worked out wonderful. We regretted that we did not come prepared to attend the Captains dinner with appropriate dress but we will on our next cruise. Ship QualityLoved the glass elevators. Gave you such an awesome view. Well worth the money by

Everything was amazing on the ship and everyone treated you with such respect. We had such a good time. It was a very relaxing honeymoon as it should be. I felt there were a lot of activities that you could take part in if you wanted to. We really enjoyed dinner every night. Also the Chopps steak house was amazing and well worth the $30 a person. Ship QualityThe ship was huge. We never felt crowded or as if there were too many people. Also everywhere you went on the ship everything was very clean. The layout was great. The only complaint would be that there were no pool side seats in the nonsmoking area of the ship that were in the sun, but i guess if you want to sit in the sun and not be in the smoking section you have to get up earlier. Dining/FoodThe food was excellent. I will say that on the 5th day the lunch in the Windjammer did get a bit old. But you do have other options for lunch that we were not able to try. No other complaints about the food. Dinner was always wonderful. We really enjoyed the my time dining. The Chopps steak house was amazing and well worth the $30 a person. Stateroom QualityWe had a balcony and it was well worth the extra money. Our room was always clean and it was very spacious. We really enjoyed it. Ship Staff QualityEveryone on the ship was very friendly and always smiling. I really enjoyed that they always knew your name at dinner. The 3 tenors were amazing. The only problem was that there was never enough seating for the 9pm show.
