Good cruise by
A Traveler from Seattle, WA Sailing date: Jun 2010Pros: Ship, activities, nice cabin Cons: Food Ship is big, well-maintained, and offers a lot of fun activities. Food could be better, and service was very good most of the time. Ship Quality
Dining/Food2 nights in the dining room were terrible. Sirloin steak should be missed. We found the buffet to be good, but we opted for salads & healthy fare. The burgers at the buffet did not look good; had pizza once & it was decent. Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & ActivitiesAverage because there were activities (e.g. bingo, ice skating) that were very poorly organized. I would strongly suggest a chance for adults to ice skate without kids. We had been assured that with our names on the wait list we would skate the next day, only to be bumped again. The ice show is definitely recommended. Comedian is terrible.

Mazatlan, MexicoWe walked around Mazatlan's Old Town. Didn't go to the Zona Dorada. Maz is a beautiful town, but run down more than the rest so many people don't like it. Visit the Malecon and the Cathedral.
Don't Miss: Cathedral, Malecon Puerto Vallarta, MexicoBeautiful tourist area, Malecon is worth seeing.
Don't Miss: Cathedral, sculptures at Malecon Cabo San Lucas, MexicoWe went through Cabo Sailing. Great time!

  An enjoyable cruise by
Ernie M. from Las Vegas, NV Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: Good service and the ship was large; Cons: Did not have Mexican cuisine at dinner tables; there were no Mariachi's musicians; Very nice and large cruise ship. Friendly and helpful staff; We dined at the Portofino restaurant and had seafood; We liked the 12th deck, which had a walking track and gave us good walking exercise. Also enjoyed the 14th deck with the Ellington night club lounge - great view of the sea and sky. Overall entertainment was very good, with the Beetles singing the popular songs; enjoyed cruiser karioeki's participation. Can use some help using the signs "Fwd" and "Aft" on each deck floor with big letters on all four sides. Ship QualityVery relaxing and was easy to get around. Staff was very friendly. Dining/FoodWindjammer cafe was very convenient for casual meals and refreshments in the evenings. Good view from the Portofino restaurant. Price was reasonable. Could use Mexican cuisine items on the lunch and dinner menu. Since this was a Mexican cruise, there was no Mexican food in formal lunch or formal dinner time. Stateroom QualityCan use a night light to get some lighting. The room was comfortable. Ship Staff QualityVery helpful and friendly. Cruise director was very friendly and a good communicator; Captain was very informative and with very good English. Entertainment & ActivitiesWas looking for more comedy hour's. Was expecting some Mexican Mariachi musicians at the Promenade since this is a Mexican cruise ship and going to the ports of Cabo, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta.

Mazatlan, MexicoThe cathedral and the adjacent bazaar. We took a 3 hour city tour. It was also humid and hot at this port. We ate our late lunch in the ship, the Windjammer Cafe.
Don't Miss: The bazaar next to the cathedral. Puerto Vallarta, MexicoNice boardwalk next to the shuttle's drop off point. Nice to just walk around and take some pictures. Was also humid and hot. Too many street hawks to lure customers into the stores.
Don't Miss: The walk at the boardwalk. Cabo San Lucas, MexicoGlass factory was a good visit. It was too hot and humid at this port and we really wanted to sit in an air conditioned car and visit the places. Took the one hour city tour on an SUV. The port flee market was a good visit too and the prices were reasonable and negotiate some prices. We ate our late lunch in the ship, the Windjammer Cafe.
Don't Miss: A good view of the large rocks from the land's end. 3 out of 5 people found this review helpful.

Excellent food and service cruise. by
Jesse P from La Verne Ca. Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: The food, music Cons: Underage drinking, underage gambling Very clean ship with excellent food and room service. Great music for 7 day cruise BUT wrong time to travel to Mexico with 16 years olds drinking and running around the ship I would go on another cruise when the students are in school. The photo service is way way over price. But overall it was a nice 7 day cruise. Ship Quality

  Fantastic Cruise by
Surge P. from Monterey, Ca Sailing date: May 2009Pros: The food, activities, room-service, gym, pools, the ship. Cons: A lot of rich/snobs came on the cruise, very rude, anti-social, etc. They never wanted to participate in activities, were sour most of the time. They were a total buzz kill. Cruises are meant to have fun, meet people, not sit there and think your stuff don't stink. The ship was beautiful, a wonderful experience. They treat you like royalty once on board. They only problem I had was with the other people on board. Some of them were rich snobs that thought they were so great. I was told cruises are for fun, people people, etc. Some of these people were just rude and anti-social. I was not expecting that, but what can you do? a lot of them did not want to dance, participate in activities, etc. They all just sat there, I wondered, what is wrong with them? Ow well, I had a lot of fun, danced, ate, swam, exercised, and ate some more. It was a wonderful experience. Ship QualityThe pools need slipping slides. Dining/FoodFood was good, but one flaw, too much junk food (Buffet). The Buffet needs more variety, can only eat so many hamburgers and hot dogs in one week. Stateroom Quality

  A OK CRUISE by
A Traveler from valencai Sailing date: Apr 2009Pros: the "mall" Cons: the food Just got back from Mexico, on Mariner of the Seas, , we will be staying with Princess in the future. The ship is beautiful, but something is lacking, the staterooms aren't as nice the food, the service, it's all missing somethiing they always have on Princess.I think they try,but except for a few tihings, we wished we had waited for summer vacation and a Princess Cruise! Ship Quality
Dining/Foodportions were very small! Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Qualitythe staff in the restraunts was great, but our stateroom guy was not good at all, had to ask him to refill the fridge with waters as we we used them Entertainment & Activities

  A nice cruise by
A Traveler from Panama City Beach, Florida Sailing date: Nov 2008Pros: The ship was huge Cons: about half of the crew had bad attitudes First of all, 7days is to much. The bar staff was the worst people. They had bad attitudes and made it seem we were an inconvenience to them. I don't know what was wrong with them, if it was their last week on the ship or what but they never smiled. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodThe food was always cold when we got ours and the shrimp was horrible!!!! Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityOur stateroom attendant was the best of the crew attitudes he always had a smile on his face and greeted us with a hello. Entertainment & Activities

Cozumel, MexicoI loved Mexico the Mayan Ruins were the best but rent a car and do all the stuff yourself, don't take the tours.
Don't Miss: MAYAN RUINS and Playa del Carmen Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)The zip line is fun but to expensive for the ONE time you get to do it. The FOOD is cold even the burgers and hot dogs. To many people wanting to sell you something. I liked Coco Cay.
George Town, Grand CaymanBeautiful area, nice water and lots of banks. Tax free town
Ocho Rios, JamaicaTaxi Cab guys are crazy drivers and the areas he took us were poor and rundown. Very dissappointed with Jamaica. Not going back

Cool ship design - but lacks a level of by
Jon from Providence, RI Sailing date: Mar 2006Pros: The main street within the ship. A pleasant time with plenty to do, just not the type of luxury I would want paying this sort of money (and we had a suite). 0 out of 1 people found this review helpful.
