Was let down by Royal Carribean Cruise
by Denise from Columbus Oh
Sailing date:
Mar 2009
Pros:
The beaches on the islands
Cons:
The service the cruiseline gave after crusing 4 times with them.
After 3 years of waiting to be able to go on a cruise again with Royal Caribbean, I was so shocked and disappointed. The food quality has gone down. The same lunch items everyday at the buffet. The service for our room was poor. Our floor never got vaccumed and we had to strip the bed to get clean sheets. I was to have a container in my room to put my needles in after I took my shots but no where to be found. The band at the pool was terrible and as I listened to the song they sang the words were depressing about someone loosing a girlfriend and didn't want to live any longer. I got up and left the area. There was not really a midnight buffet in the grand dining room as I had experineced before. Just one night on deck and was not good at all. Lots of other cruisers complained about the lower standards. Even the evening entertainment was not that great. At the Captains Welcome Back we were not offered appetizers, just walk right by my husband and another couple and we even tried to reach out to get it off the tray. Was very disappointed about the whole cruise. The ports were the best and it was a good thing they were because it would have been a terrible vacation. My husband said he would not cruise again after that disappointment. The only good thing I can say was the ship was clean as always. The staff was nice.

I recommend spending time at Palm Beach area. The snorkeling was not great. Didn't care for Arbua otherwise. Other ports much better.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.
This is the 2nd time to St Thomas and we highly recommend this port. Snorking and swimming is awesome. Magen's Beach is a must see and place to hang out. A Beautiful Island.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
We liked this port to. The beach was nice and lots of shopping.
Curacao
I would love to go back and spend a few days there. The Taxi service took us to this very nice beach that cost $3.00. I could have stayed there at the beach the whole day. It was clean and nice there. Not much else other than shopping. Lots of shopping there

Excellent Caribbean Vacations
by Maldonado A from Puerto Rico
Sailing date:
Mar 2013
Pros:
Overall experience was good.
Cons:
The end of the trip.
Overall experience was good. Facilities, amenities, dinner as well. I felt the shows at the Theater must be improves and have something more entertaining and with high quality. Perhaps performances or shows like Las Vegas style.

Best Cruise Yet!
by Amanda S. from Toledo, OHio
Sailing date:
Dec 2012
Pros:
The Ports of Call
Cons:
Our room didn't smell the best
A little older and outdated. Definitely could use a little TLC. Our room had a weird smell to it, but other than that we enjoyed the dining room, the royal promenade, and the other things that were offered! The pool and one of the hot tubs in the adults only area was drained for almost the entire cruise and you could tell maintenance was going on throughout the entire cruise. On a 7 day cruise, there were 5 ports of call so the shape of the ship wasn't as big of a deal since we didn't spend much time on it. If we would've had to spend more time, I would've picked a different ship. All-in-all I would definitely take this same cruise again! The islands are amazing and all worth a second visit! We had plenty of time at each island and the excursions were all worth it as well! As always - the staff is amazing and very professional and all of the royal caribbean cruises we've been on!

Dining/Food
Food offered in the dining room was very similar to our royal caribbean cruise we took 3 years ago. I'm not complaining - it was still very good! The wait staff is pleasant as always!
Stateroom Quality
For a balcony room and what we paid, i expected a bit more. Something a little nicer, the bed was terribly hard, and some of the sheets had random stains on them.

Overall a great time!
by Judy A. from Colorado Springs, Colorado
Sailing date:
Mar 2012
Pros:
Friendliness of staff
Cons:
Ship seems "worn" and needs upgrades
Large ship with very small adullt pool area, buffet supplied adequate. Felt they need to replace or upgrade areas of the ship. Worn/torn carpeting noted, windows could have been cleaned more often, several windows at back of ship need to be replaced as rusting noted and unable to have clear view due to window looking like it was foggy but not! Gym definitely needs fans or better air conditioning. Many with complaints of being too hot. Stateroom needs furniture upgrade.

Not so wonderful
by Janet from Boston, MA
Sailing date:
Apr 2010
Pros:
Cruising offers easy traveling, visiting many destinations and not having to pack over and over.
Cons:
The rumors that the ship was not filled and rooms were sold for a fraction of the rate to people.
The Adventure of the Seas needs some attention. The rooms need to be refreshed. The food was OK, not the best I have experienced with Royal Caribbean. The entertainment on board was medocre as well. While there are amny activities, it seems as though they overlap.

With the exception of not meeting the head waiter several days into the cruise, the staff was great. They did there best to make sure we were happy.

What a Way to End the School Year
by A Traveler from Washington DC
Sailing date:
Jun 2009
Pros:
The number of ports visited
Cons:
Evening activities seemed to be geared to those who ate during the second seating which left the 6:00 diners waiting around until 9 or 10 pm until there was something else to do.
The staff was wonderful and very friendly. The ship was clean and well kept. As stated before more activities need3ed to be planned for early evening though.

What a friendly bunch.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Poor sanitary control.
by O'Donnell from NY
Sailing date:
Nov 2006
Pros:
The staff.
The ship did not provide any form of hand sanitizer until an outbreak occured. Letters were then sent to each cabin warning passengers of an onboard illness. It was after this that sanitizer stations were set up on board. Too little, too late for all those paying passengers who became ill!

We've had better.
by Teresa from MT
Sailing date:
Mar 2006
Pros:
The people and service.
The beautiful ship has a nice island itinerary. However, the days spent on the boat were less than ideal. Getting a deck chair is nearly impossible, since they're always reserved with no one to sit in them for hours. If you try to get a good seat for an upcoming game show, you will only have 50 people stand in front of you. The service is excellent. The food is so so if you cook at home....or good if you're not much of a cook. The cruise is a great bargain but bring plenty of extra money if you plan on getting a couple margaritas. Drinks and beer are very costly. As for the shows on this ship, they were not as good as the other ships we have been on. All in all it was nice to get some sunshine and set foot on a beach.

Entertainment: The entertainment was very poor compared to the other ships we have been on in the past.
