Wonderful Cruise with a great Cruise Lin by
Pedro C from Richmond, VA Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: The ship, The food, Ports of call, Shows, Shopping Experience aboard at affordable prices etc Cons: There was nothing that I was dissapointed in This is our second Cruise aboard Royal Caribbean Ships first on the Jewel of the Seas and now on the Adventure of the Seas. I would definetely recommend these ships we had the best time in both of them plus Royal Caribbean has by far the best shows and the crew really tries hard to work with each passenger to accomodate them fully Ship Quality

  A Great Cruise by
Kevin K from San Pedro, California Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: The service Cons: It went to quick We had crusied on this ship before and it is great. The common areas are well kept. The stateroom was clean but the couch was a bit tired. Ship QualitySome of the hall carpets need to be cleaned or replaced. Stateroom Quality

  best vacation by
Judy B. from San Diego, CA Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: kid's club Cons: arrival time at the ports That was the best vacation we ever had. The kid's club was open till 10 pm free of charge, and after that it was $5/hour per child. They were open till 2 am, so after dropping the kids at the kid's club we were going out every day. We haven't done that in a long time.
The entertainment was great: something new each night: from ice skating show to the production show Vegas style to different type of music in the bars.
The food was good, but nothing special and even though they had restaurants open 24 hours a day, I didn't put any weight on.
The worst thing was, that after going to bed at 1-2 am, it was very difucult to get up early enough to be able to get to the tours that they had. Luckily, we were able to get a taxi and get to the beach without any problems. Fortunately, the beaches were the only interesting things on the islands. There wasn't anything else to see, except St. Marten, that has somewhat unusual history.
Anyway, now we are thinking about going on a short cruise for a weekend, instead of going to Vegas, the place we used to go for a short out of town trip. Ship Quality

  Spectacular cruise by
Eric R from Greenville, MS Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: Entertainment, food, ports of call, excursions The ship and cruise experience was spectacular, beyond my expectation. The staff were always courteous, friendly and helpful. The food in the main dining hall was excellent. The food in the Italian specialty restaurant, The Portofino, was nothing less than superb. We did not miss any of the evening shows in the Lyrica theatre. The musicians were superb and entertaining. Phil Tag, the comedian, was so funny, and can't wait to see him again on Jay Leno. We had perfect weather at all of our ports of call, and enjoyed snorkeling in Barbados and Antigua, and tree zip-lining in St. Lucia. The beaches were best on St. Maarten, esp. Orient beach. The port at St. Croix was disappointing, but the beaches are nice at the better resorts (we went to the Buccaneer). The shopping was also the best in St. Maarten. The cruise shopping director overpushed Diamonds International and Columbia Emeralds, and much fine jewelry, watches and local crafted products could be found at much better prices. Ship Quality

What a Way to End the School Year by
A Traveler from Washington DC Sailing date: Jun 2009Pros: The number of ports visited Cons: Evening activities seemed to be geared to those who ate during the second seating which left the 6:00 diners waiting around until 9 or 10 pm until there was something else to do. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. The ship was clean and well kept. As stated before more activities need3ed to be planned for early evening though. Ship Quality

  Loved our experience! by
Rebecca H. from Los Angeles, CA Sailing date: Nov 2008Pros: The ship had everything you could want on it. Cons: Waiting in lines for everything. The ship is huge and just amazing. The inside promenade was fun to just look at. The Islands were incredibly beautiful, but very humid and hot. Our room was a typical ship cabin, not huge but very comfortable. We started in Puerto Rico. We went to Old San Juan and to the two forts. They were just amazing. We went snorkeling in Aruba, which was ok. We took a buggie ride excursion in Curacao which was really a fun and exciting experience. The Men running it were great. We also took an excursion in St. Thomas, to the top of the island, which offered amazing views and history of the island. Over all we had a wonderful experience. We would definitely take this trip again. Ship Quality

Children's ProgramsWhile we didn't have our children on the ship with us, we did pay attention to what they offered for kids, in case we decided to take ours with us someday. The whole back of the ship was dedicated to kids of all ages, 3 year old to teenagers, and there were plenty of all ages on the ship. Each morning they had a parent and infant class for any babies on the boat. Each age group had a dedicated area just for them. There were two water slides into smaller pools located at the back of the boat and child sized tables and chairs. The staff seemed very capable and dedicated. In fact as we were leaving the ship on the last day I heard one little four year old tell her mother she didn't want to leave. 9 out of 15 people found this review helpful.

 Poor sanitary control. by
O'Donnell from NY Sailing date: Nov 2006Pros: The staff. The ship did not provide any form of hand sanitizer until an outbreak occured. Letters were then sent to each cabin warning passengers of an onboard illness. It was after this that sanitizer stations were set up on board. Too little, too late for all those paying passengers who became ill! Entertainment & Activities
