Our First Cruise
by Jill S from Indiana
Sailing date:
Sep 2010
Pros:
This was our first cruise and we enjoyed it more than we expected. It was the most relaxing vacation we had been on in a long time.
I liked the size of this ship. It was just right not too big not too small. The ship was always in good order and very well kept.

Dining/Food
The only thing I will mention concerning dining was the bowls and plates that were used at the buffet. They were not as cleaned as I would like. I would go through 3 or 4 to find an acceptable one.
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality
The staff on this ship were above and beyond!

Great cruise
by Anthony M. from North carolina
Sailing date:
Jun 2010
Pros:
Everything
Cons:
No smoking should be allowed anywhere on the ship
Age 41 wife age 44 frist cruise. This is a great cruise & great food. My wife & I both gained weight from all the food. Ship has a ok fitness room. My wife & I both workout 5 days week but only worked one day on the cruise We were not ready to come home at the end of the cruise. There are alot of bad reviews about this ship. They are not true. Some talk about smells in the hall this was not true. some talk about the ship has aged. (not true). This ship is well kept up. After seeing some of the reviews I started to try another cruise liner. Take this cruise I think you will enjoy it.

Dining/Food
Food was overall great, but just a little bland at times.
Stateroom Quality
The rooms were really small and you had to keep everything put away so you didn't trip over it. The rooms were clean and had decent amenities.

Great time
by A woman travelling alone from Chicago, IL
Sailing date:
Mar 2009
Pros:
The focus on customer service
Cons:
Having to skip a shore expedition to Costa Maya because of the weather
It was a beautiful and big ship, 11 stories tall, offering ever activity you could ever want to participate in. Never a dull moment! I saw great comedy and musical shows, gambled, exercised in the workout room, had a massage in the spa, read a book by the pool, danced, drank wine, eat great meals, listened to a classical concert, watched a James Bond movie, shopped on board and went snorkeling in Cozumel.

I loved having a private area and pool for adults. This was the Solarium and it was a beautiful and quiet place to read and relax.
Dining/Food
The food and service was great. Every night we had 3 course meals with many choices for appetizers, entrees and desserts. The variety of foods at the breakfast and lunch buffet was also very nice.
Stateroom Quality
The people who cleaned the staterooms used the supplied beach towels to make animals in different shapes to entertain to guests. It was very fun to see each afternoon!
Ship Staff Quality
I loved the ship's focus on safety. We did a mandatory life boat evacuation drill the first afternoon we were on board. The staff made sure everyone went to the right station and wore their life vest. To make sure everyone participated, state room numbers were called out for anyone who had not already supplied their room number to the staff.
Entertainment & Activities
The woman comedian they hired to do one of the evening shows was so funny that I laughed so hard I was crying. She was great. Her first name was Judy but I can't remember her last name.

I had planned to see the Mayan Ruins but as soon as we got off the ship, we had to come back. The waves were high and some water got on the ship by the gangway. The captain thought it wouldn't be safe for people to get on and off the boat in this windy weather so we left Costa Maya right away. People were disappointed about this but the captain's focus on safety was commendable.
Cozumel, Mexico
I heard that going into town was a waste of time. All they had there was 1 street of shops with jewelry, T-shirts and liquor. However, the shops by the ship were nice and I bought gifts for my teenage sons and husband there.
Don't Miss:
Any water-related activity, rather than shopping in town

Pros:
Service.
I was always amazed that despite all cabins being occupied, the ship never seemed crowded allowing us to enjoy quiet spaces. I would have liked more full days in port but was still able to see most of Bermuda.

Great Way to Celebrate a 47th Wedding An
by Ray from Gulf Breeze, Florida
Sailing date:
Apr 2007
Pros:
The staff.
My wife and I enjoyed our cruise immensely. Everyone on the ship's staff seemed to go out of their way to ensure we had a great time. The food was great, but the dining room staff made it even better. There couldn't have been a better way to celebrate our forty-seventh wedding anniversary. I guess the best way to summarize our experience is to say we can't wait to go again and have recommended Royal Caribbean Cruise Line to all of our family and friends.
