I was dissapointed that we did not have the oportunity to eat in the main dinning area. Due to the wait time of over an hour and we could not make reservations.

Norwegian Jade 7 days Greek Isles Cruise
by Ulian B from Ukraine
Sailing date:
Aug 2012
Pros:
Nice ship and great service plus good quality entertainment, food in general was good and Asian/Japanese speciality restaurants were quite good.
Cons:
Shore excursions too expensive, some speciality restaurants (French, steakhouse) are nothing special, hidden taxes in costs of drinks that are quite expensive
The ship is quite good and the team is good too. They offer good food and entertainment. The gym is large enough and properly equipped. Everything is kept clean and shiny. Staff is friendly and helpful. On the negative side, some of speciality restaurants (French, steakhouse) are nothing special and one could get better services in the main restaurant for free whereas Asian/Japanese restaurants are quite good and forth visiting. Shore excursions are quite expensive and usually not forth the money - it is cheaper to rent a car on the shore for a few hours and explore islands on your own.

Love the Norwegians
by A Traveler from Des Moines, IA
Sailing date:
Jul 2012
Pros:
Accomodations, friendly staff, wonderful food, various workshops and seminars
Cons:
The front desk staff did not have the knowledge to handle some of our issues. The pool area was tooooo small for 3000 guests and there were not enough deck chairs for everyone.
Beautiful facility; great food; friendly and professional stateroom staff and dining room staff; wonderful seminars onboard.

Pools too small for 3000 guests and not enough deck chairs for everyone. People had to fight for deck chairs around the pool on 'days at sea.'

Ship Staff Quality
Guest services staff did not possess the knowledge to handle our specific medical needs and financial needs. Closing the on board credit account was difficult.

Great ports, not relaxing
by A Traveler from San Diego, CA
Sailing date:
Jun 2012
Cons:
Constant announcements in the guestroom areas waking me up
The itinerary was great, and most of the on-board entertainment was really fun. The performers in all of the shows were great, and I was never bored. But, there were almost constant announcements over the PA in guestroom areas that woke me up in the morning and during daytime/evening naps (it was our honeymoon, we needed rest!). The content of the announcements was always unnecessary and repeated in 7 languages.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
There were only 2 pools, both were very small and crowded. It was impossible to swim laps or relax in the pool without people running into you.
Dining/Food
The free dining options were mostly really good. After the first day or two we figured out what we liked and there was great variety.
Stateroom Quality
The room was tiny, but the bed was very comfortable. It was too close to a hallway speaker so the room was very loud.
Ship Staff Quality
Most staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the cruise director and his close staff. Other staff/bartenders were annoyingly chipper and asked too many personal questions.
Entertainment & Activities
The nightly shows were very well put together, and the special events during our days at sea were fun to watch (ex. the jazz band, Cole Porter's hits, etc)

Sailing date:

Pros:
The Freestyle dining.
Cons:
Casino. Manager running the crap table was extremely offensive.
The Norwegian Jade was a fabulous ship. The architexture of the ship was grand. The interior was beyond neat and clean. The food was not only great but some many different choices. The staff were friendly and so accurate with information. The amenities were great. Overall opinion, I wish I did not have to leave.

Amazing!!! Words can not describe.
Izmir, Turkey
I did not experience anything like this. I loved Izmir!!!! I would go back on my own. The food and people were great. The House of Mary was strong experience and very maintained with great souvenirs.
Katakolon (Olympia), Greece
The Olympia site was too short. Also left us with few moment to buy souvernirs. But very interesting place to visit.
Piraeus (Athens), Greece
Wow! The Acropolis was breathtaking with a stop at hotel for lunch. The lunch was superb.

Excellent Cruise
by Suresh S from Austin, Texas
Sailing date:
May 2011
Pros:
The freestyle cruising, the friendly staff, great shows and food, excellent port stops
Cons:
Not too many things to not like. Wish their SPA prices were more reasonable
Norwegian Jade was a great ship and all the crew were very friendly and helpful. The check in process at Venice port was smooth. The ports and excursions we took were arranged well. Highlight of the tour for us was the "Ephesus and House of Virgin Mary" tour - a must see for everyone. The shows were awesome and so was the food. The entertainment options were plenty, so much so that we did not get do do everything! The only thing that I wish they did was lower the prices on their SPA treatments. They have a great SPA staff but the cost is just way too much

We did not do a specific tour suggested by NCL. It is a small enough town and we just walked around on or own.
Izmir, Turkey
The best port on our trip. Very well organized, best tour guides of the trip and great venues. We did the "Ephesus and House of virgin Mary" tour and it was awesome. It just felt unreal to walk the same places people did 2000 years back!
Don't Miss:
The Ephesus ruins and house of virgin Mary.
Piraeus (Athens), Greece
We did the Parthenon and the Leisure shopping tour. Parthenon was good although it is under construction and was a little underwhelming. Make sure you watch your step - it is extremely slippery
Don't Miss:
Sit down at a street cafe and eat some Gyros!
Split, Croatia
Did not do a tour. Walked around on our own since it was a small town too.
