Cons: Casino. Manager running the crap table was extremely offensive. The Norwegian Jade was a fabulous ship. The architexture of the ship was grand. The interior was beyond neat and clean. The food was not only great but some many different choices. The staff were friendly and so accurate with information. The amenities were great. Overall opinion, I wish I did not have to leave. Ship Details: Ship Quality Superior cleanliness ! Dining/Food Wow! What great choices. Stateroom Quality Very comfortable and clean. Ship Staff Quality The staff was extremely helpful and polite. Entertainment & Activities This was decent some were corny shows but overall mediocre. Words can not describe. Izmir, Turkey I did not experience anything like this. I loved Izmir!!!! I would go back on my own. The food and people were great. The House of Mary was strong experience and very maintained with great souvenirs. Katakolon (Olympia), Greece The Olympia site was too short. Also left us with few moment to buy souvernirs. Wish their SPA prices were more reasonable Norwegian Jade was a great ship and all the crew were very friendly and helpful. The check in process at Venice port was smooth. The ports and excursions we took were arranged well. Highlight of the tour for us was the "Ephesus and House of Virgin Mary" tour - a must see for everyone. The shows were awesome and so was the food. The entertainment options were plenty, so much so that we did not get do do everything! The only thing that I wish they did was lower the prices on their SPA treatments. It is a small enough town and we just walked around on or own. Izmir, Turkey The best port on our trip. Very well organized, best tour guides of the trip and great venues. We did the "Ephesus and House of virgin Mary" tour and it was awesome. It just felt unreal to walk the same places people did 2000 years back! Don't Miss: The Ephesus ruins and house of virgin Mary. Piraeus (Athens), Greece We did the Parthenon and the Leisure shopping tour. Parthenon was good although it is under construction and was a little underwhelming. Make sure you watch your step - it is extremely slippery Don't Miss: Sit down at a street cafe and eat some Gyros! Split, Croatia Did not do a tour. Ordered a Cobb salad and the lettuce was wilted, the chicken was not fresh. However the food at the Buffet- restaurant (Garden Cafe) was quite good. Good selection-Indian food was good. The steakhouse (cost extra) food was excellent. The service on board was very good. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Santorini, Greece The volcano tour was awesome. The shopping very good. Katakolon (Olympia), Greece Vert expensive to get to Olympia. Would suggest to share cab if possible-80 EUROS for one cab. Our tour on the Norwegian Jade was a delight. The ship still carried southern Pacific decor from its days a Hawaii based ship; so that felt a bit tired. It was a comfortable sail from the get-go. Ship Details: Ship Quality Dining/Food Food was better than anticipated. The added-cost restaurants were worth the expense and left the main dining as less than great. The buffet was delightfully diverse in its offerings and were flavorful. Stateroom Quality Ship Staff Quality You could not go anywhere without being cordially greeted. Staff was eager to step up to offer assistance without being intrusive. Entertainment & Activities After long days on shore excursions, we did not feel the need for many of the entertainment offerings. But those we checked out were of highly variable quality. Many couples taking up tables for five and then no place to sit,not enough poolside chairs nice ship but not enough two person tables in buffet.Often had nowhere to sit.Not enough lounge chairs by pool. Rooms were very comfortable and quiet. Nice beds, air conditioning, and very large showers compared to other ships I've been on. Pool area was unbelievable with large water slides, live music, 3 hot tubs and various places to get food and drinks. Ship Details: Ship Quality Dining/Food NCL gives you a choice to eat at their buffet, or standard restaurants. The food was good but not great. By that I mean, mostly fish, chicken, pasta, and meat dishes. Very little seafood which I really like. The buffet area was pretty busy, but usually you could get a table with no problem. We had one meal at the optional restaurant called Le Bistro which was fantastic. So basically, if you want great food, you can pay extra and try a different specially restaurant every night and I would assume they are all extremely good. It just adds to the price. There seemed to be plenty of capacity for the specialty restaurants on board with Electric signed saying what time-slots are either filled or available. A really nice feature. Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy NCL provided tour was excellent. Monte Carlo, Monaco Took the formula one tour and really enjoyed it. Just by walking the F1 circuit you get a good feel for the city. NCL provided tour was excellent. Naples, Italy We toured the Amalfi Coast and Pompei. NCL provided tour was excellent. Don't Miss: Amalfi Coast and Pompei. Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands We took a tour of the Caves which was ok. Very interesting, but the tour guide really did not explain anything about the formations. We loved the suite in the back of the ship on deck 8. the service was excellent. We found the choices of free eating to be limited to only the dining rooms and the garden cafe. The other places had very limited menues. To play bingo you had to pay and were given many extra cost choices for more play. You could not get a free soda or drink any where on the boat. Even in the casino you had to pay for any beverage no matter how much money you gambled. You also did not get any free shuttles off the boat even if you only wanted to go to the port of call. Many stops for all the locals. Should had a direct line from Port to Rome. All instructions were clear. Shore excursions were relatively expensive, but services were good. Food menu was very good and varied. Excellent tendering (ship-to-shore) service. I would in a heart beat get on this ship again it had all sorts of amenities.
