The balcony room had enough space for 2. Food was great in dining area, buffet and specialty restaurants. The BEST ports of call! Kind of hard to learn the lay out, but once you get the hang of it, it is a great little ship. did not have ONE bad meal on the ship....main dining room, buffet, or speciality resturant. You are pampered without having to pay extra for any added attention -- not that we needed any, but I saw crew members go out of their way to help all those that needed it. It was truly a vacationers delight. Ship Details: Ship Quality Dining/Food Food was good, the only thing I would recommend -- for the gentlemen or even ladies out there that are used to big portions at home -- order a double portion in the restaurants(your waiter/waitress will be more than happy to accomodate you) Stateroom Quality only one thing missing, a clock, otherwise absolutely no complaints - Ship Staff Quality You will leave the ship reluctantly, not just because you received excellent attention from the staff, but, because you developed a genuine fondness for all that you met . I was very impressed with every aspect of our cruise. The were continually cleaning and trying to make sure you were having a good time. One of the musicals we were disappointed with because of the references to drugs and sex, so we got up and left. But the good thing they had so much to do if you didn't like one thing you could find something else to do. They were misleading on the bingo game also because they would say someone will win 10,000 today and then would say you would have to win within so many numbers to win the big money after the game had started and you had already given them the money. But that was the only things we didn't like. I will definitely be cruising with Norwegian again because we were so impressed with everything we don't want to try any other cruise line. Ship Details: Ship Quality Dining/Food We ate only in the dining room because the food was so good it was better than any food I have eaten at any restaurants at home I didn't see the need to pay for the other ones. Overall Rating: About the Reviewer: Age: 18 - 29 Cruise Experience: First cruise Traveler Type: Family w/older children Stateroom Type: Oceanview Amazing First Cruise by A Traveler from Tennessee Sailing date: Oct 2011 Pros: Ship Staff Cons: Cozumel was as expected, a bit dirty and pushy locals Couldn't have asked for a better cruise with such a variety of ports Ship Details: Ship Quality Everything is on 5, 6, 7 and 11 floors. If you can get a room on the 6th floor that really helps. Dining/Food Wonderful variety every meal. Two formal halls are included, one will not allow you to wear shorts. Stateroom Quality Great size for three people. Nervous when I saw I would be sleeping on a fold out couch, but it was the best sleep I've ever gotten. Sheets were super soft. Ship Staff Quality I'm now spoiled. They go above and beyond to cater to any need. Entertainment & Activities Sing/dance show every night. Variety of music and activities for young and old. Shopping was fun, it was a bit dirty, but still had a good time. San Gervasio is a great option to visit Mayan Ruins in about 2 hours. It is 30 minutes from port, $50 taxi both ways. Toured a Tequila place too. A little nervous to eat local places, so we ate at Senior Frogs. Don't Miss: San Gervasio - Ask for Rubun as your guide Falmouth, Jamaica My favorite! Yardie Tours - Dunn's River Falls was amazing. Scotchies for lunch with jerk chicken/pork. Super clean, just say no or walk away from locals...but they weren't as bad as all the reviews let them out to be. Nicest people of all the ports! Port isn't completed, but it will be soon and they really pull out all the bells and whistles to welcome you and say farewall. I didn't want to leave! Don't Miss: Dunn's River Falls and Scotchies - Yardie Tours George Town, Grand Cayman A nice change from pushy locals. Very upsale and classy island. Great shopping and very clean. Great Stirrup Cay (Cruiseline Private Island), Bahamas Like being in a dream! Norwegian is pouring big money into this place and it is arleady so much fun. For our first cruise, this was an outstanding experience. Everything was above our expectations except the food and dessert. We were expecting outstanding cuisine and the food in general was average and the desserts were overall poor. The food was counter balanced by the whole cruise experience, staff friendliness and outstanding activities. Everyday the ship was so close to the british columbia and alaska wilds that the cruise was a outside panarama of ever changing beauty. Don't Miss: The white pass & yukon rail road excursion in skagway. Juneau, Alaska Glacier beautiful. The excursion to the glacier was great. They had an excellent park service building that explained how glaciers are formed and why they are receeding. Don't Miss: Glacier and Fish hatchery. Ketchikan, Alaska Ketchican was beautiful and rainy. Took a trolly tour of the town. The people who went to the lumber jack excursion said it was great. Our tour was good. We had sunny weather the entire trip, which I was told is never the case! Don't Miss: The Tracy Arm Excursion. Juneau, Alaska Juneau 2007. We went up in the tram and got some beautiful views before heading to Mendenhall Glacier. Our tour driver was wonderful. Mendenhall is not to be missed! Don't Miss: Mendenhall Glacier and the tramway (weather permitting). Ketchikan, Alaska Ketchican 2007. We arrived early in the day and took the self-guided walking tour around town. Creek Street was charming. The Lumberjack show was overpriced so we skipped it. Don't Miss: Creek street. Cruise Sawyer Glacier Tracy Arm Excursion 2007. We booked the excursion through Norwegian that allowed us to take a smaller boat ahead of the ship to cruise Sawyer Glascier North and South. The scenery was breathtaking. I stayed outside the entire time, but sane people are able to stay warm inside the boat. Don't Miss: I definetly recommend taking the Tracy Arm Excursion.
