Cozumel, MexicoChankanab Park.
We visited the park, which caters to persons who are swimming with the dolphins. Otherwise, you are limited as to the use of the park's amenities.
Key West, FloridaFort Zachary Taylor.
We visited the local library and the librarian recommended Fort Zachary Taylor. We really enjoyed the beach and the fort.
George Town, Grand CaymanTurtle Farm and Seven Mile Beach.
The Turtle Farm is nice, but we couldn't find set prices. I think the prices are made up based on how much they think they can charge. Seven Mile Beach is beautiful, but the water is really deep. Be aware if you have kids. There is a playground at the beach which my daughter enjoyed.
Don't Miss: Seven Mile Beach and a ride on a public (not tourist) bus. Roatan (Isla Roatan), Bay Islands, HondurasMalaria.
I had read that malaria is a concern in Roatan Bay; therefore, I was reluctant to disembark. My husband and I took turns going in to town and looking around. The area is very economically depressed, but there were some bargains to be had in shell jewelry and t-shirts. However, panhandling is a problem.

  Worst Experience! by
Paul from Palm Beach, Florida Sailing date: Mar 2007This cruise was 7 days of hell. We had a terrible smell (grease exhaust) in the cabin for the first 5 days and we finally were moved after several complaints. Our second cabin had black water coming out of the sink and shower on the last day of our cruise! The charge account process on the last day was a nightmare. We were over billed for the auto tipping. Tipping is not applied until 2am your final evening and problems are not discovered until 6am when you are trying to leave the ship. It took over an hour standing in line to have the mistake taken care of. Entertainment & ActivitiesActivities: The fitness area was very clean. Most of the days Bingo was played very late in the evening - 10pm.

Cozumel, MexicoCozumel Experience.
Cozumel is back after all the hurrican damage. The port looks fresh and much to see and do. New Mall right off the ship is tow levels and shaded frn the sun. We say a free local show with period costumes and dance. The port is very safe with local police everywhere for safty. The people are very friendly, but always trying to sell their goods. The beaches and water are some of the best!
Don't Miss: Shopping for local goods and the beaches and water are clean excellent for snorkling. Key West, FloridaKey West Experience.
Key West if a great port. It was a beautiful sunny day. There were other ships in port which made Old Town very busy. I always love my day in Key West.
Don't Miss: Take the Trolly Tour for a great taste of Key West. George Town, Grand CaymanGrand Caymon Experience.
The Island is beautiful. Get out and experience it. 7 mile beach and the water are wonderful. Shopping prices have risen over the years, but still fun to see the offerings. Very busy port year round.
Don't Miss: Take a tour or experience the beach/water trip. Roatan (Isla Roatan), Bay Islands, HondurasRoaton Experience.
The port is still under construction and first look is a little distrubing. We took a beach tour and were very pleased. Country is still developing for tourists, but the locals are frindly (at least on the tours). I do not recommend touring on your own). It may be safe, but I would not recommend it.

 Very relaxing.... by
Jeff from Washington, DC Sailing date: Dec 2006Pros: Pool decks are very nice. I truly enjoyed the Costa Mediterranea, a very good value and a nice "twist" upon the somewhat bland middle-american cruise product. I liked the "euro" flavorings of this line. Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment: Several of the musical acts in the lounges were very good. The main show lounge tends to be variety show type stuff, which is pretty good. Obviously they are dealing with multiple languages on this line. 1 out of 2 people found this review helpful.
