A Delightful Cruise with Family by Katherine P. from BayShore, NY
Sailing date: Jun 2012

Pros:
Everyone was together, yet we were able to do our own thing!

Cons:
Aqua Spa area and ice cream bar!!! (Inside joke)

Fabulous! I was so pleased to hear that in January the ship was in dry dock and had a "make over". Celebrity knows what they are doing!

Best trip ever by Michelle M from Maryland
Sailing date: Apr 2011

Pros:
The staff was the friendliest people on board, the rooms and food where A+ the excursions...beautiful

Cons:
The bus trips, felt like a cattle call, the islaners tried to put tooo many people on each bus

There aren't enough words to say how wonderful this trip was, this was our first cruise and from the ease of booking threw ORBITZ and the sites, sounds, food I have nothing to compare it too. The most wonderful part was when one of the excursions we booked through ORBITZ didn't have a showing enough for the owner to take the catamaran out he stood by our tickets and showed us the time of our lives.

The best short term cruise ever by Audrey E from Puerto Rico
Sailing date: Mar 2011

Pros:
layout of the ship- genuinely friendly personnel-lectures

Cons:
beauty personnel too pushy

The getting on/off of cruises is cumbersome and slow..but travel has changed anyway. the ship was older but very well planned. Very good effort in maintenance. Clean.

Summit is still a wonderful ship! by Dan and Sue S from Detroit, MI
Sailing date: Feb 2011

Pros:
food, entertainment, layout, enclosed spa, staff, efficiency of embarkation and departure

Cons:
some public areas showing wear or 'dating'

The Summit is a great ship in a fine Company that still values quality, sophistication, and passenger service. This is a large ship, but not a mega-liner. This is our 3 rd time on the Summit; and it continues to offer excellent food - one side of the menu is the same; the other side changes daily for dinner in the main dining room. Main Theatre entertainment equal to Broadway/Las Vegas shows. Louge entertainment is excellent - dancing available. Classical music also offered. The Lido Cafe and Spa organic/gourmet options are very high quality, with nice diversity. Oriental, British, even Sushi choices, ice cream and sorbet (all free). The crowd is quieter, a bit more mature, but plenty of honeymooners, families, and true seniors. Europeans all around, as well. This is still a classic, beautiful ship, with lovely wood trims, art all around, and class. The deck bar staff are not intrusive at all. Smoke free Casino is a real treat. Plenty of room to spread out all over the ship. Cabin staff were fine (missed not having wrapped towel animals; but we survived). You can still find the disco and late night partying, if so inclined. No compromise on quality or variety in all food areas.

A very enjoyable cruise! by Nancy S. from Pittsburgh, PA
Sailing date: Jul 2010

Pros:
Best entertainers and entertainment.

Cons:
The fog on our way home, but that could not be controlled.

The ship was very nice and had all necessary amenities. The gym was very nice. Even though some equipment was broken I did not have to wait for equipment. The entertainers were the best part of the trip as well as the ports and excursions. The entertainers were excellent performers and were very friendly also. The food was very good and there many options to choose.

Great cruise by Marie B from Andover, CT
Sailing date: Jun 2010

Pros:
The staff was pleasant and anxious to be of service. There was not the constant barage of sales pitches you find on some cruises to the Caribbean which really annoy me.

Cons:
The pool deck seating is a problem. People reserve seats and hold them even if the people are not using the pool facilities.

The ship is an older and smaller vessel which has its advantages since its easier to get around. It could use new carpeting in some areas. Overall though it is well maintained and the attendants keep it very clean

Celebrity Summit Caribbean Cruise by A Traveler from Houston, TX
Sailing date: Mar 2010

Pros:
Wonderful itinerary and pampered care - a pleasant, professional, and attentive staff.

Cons:
Frankly, some of the other passengers - working hard to be

This was our first cruise and we were very impressed. Excellent service from beginning to end - great shore excursion choices - amazing food - great on-board entertainment and activities for all ages and physical abilities. There was a wide range of ages on our cruise - from singles, couples with babies, teens, young adults, on to the elderly (although there weren't many of these), with a number of countries represented and quite a cross-section of the U.S. Service was absolutely excellent - we had no complaints. Guest Services promptly and professionally handled a few small issues we had, to our total satisfaction. One shore excursion was cancelled for reasons beyond the control of the ship, and we were promptly credited with the cost. We had staff assigned to our room and evening table, who remembered details like who drank decaffeinated coffee. I have never experienced such courteous and professional service - it was such a pleasure.

Food was excellent and abundant - served all hours. We chose select dining for dinner, with reservations each night. The food and service were both outstanding. For breakfast and lunch we did the buffets, which had a wide and varied choice of food - all excellently prepared.

We had a balcony stateroom which we loved - enough room to be comfortable and stow clothing and possessions out of the way, with a very pleasant balcony to enjoy the ocean views and often, for breakfast in our room.

Wonderful Mediterranean Cruise by Paul D. from Sacramento, CA
Sailing date: Nov 2009

Pros:
The luxurious life style on ship and friendly, courteous employees

Our consierge room on the Sky Deck was large and comfortable w/king size bed, sofa, and veranda. The meals were exquisite, whether in the dining room or one of the many buffet area. The ship never felt crowded, despite accommodating over 2,000 guests. The entertainment was excellent, a good variety, and in good taste. Daily tour information and shopping tips were helpful. Several venues were offerred for days at sea.

Total personal satisfaction. by Margie from North Canton, Ohio, USA
Sailing date: Mar 2006

Pros:
Service.

March 2006 was our first Celebrity cruise. We had heard so many good things about Celebrity, we were excited to experience it for ourselves. We were impressed by the extent the waiters went to make each meal, whether in the main dining room or the buffet, a dining experience. From the napkins on the trays to the waiters carrying our trays to our tables at breakfast and lunch to the fantastic service in the main dining room at dinner. I was surprised to find a complimentary tote bag along with a (if needed) umbrella in our cabin. The casino was even good to me. All in all it was a fantastic cruise. On the flip side, I would have liked to be at each island longer but I know that is not possible while cruising. At least we got a taste of each island and we loved it. We loved the pianist, Brooks Aehron - My husband bought two tapes and we enjoy them often. The bar tender at the Martini bar was a delite. She made our before dinner cocktail a joy. We have cruised on many other lines but Celebrity was the most unique and sophisticated line we have experienced. We hope to cruise with Celebrity again.
