Gloria N from Easthampton, MA Sailing date: Mar 2009Pros: Service, crew, music Cons: not a thing The Constellation is a beautiful ship. It is easy to get around, very clean and very seldom had to wait in lines for food or service. Ship QualityI prefer a ship the size of the Constellation. The layout is perfect; easy access to all areas and very clean Dining/FoodFood was terrific; I enjoyed the late dining for a change. It was not rushed and service was excellent Stateroom QualityI traveled alone, so the size of the room was fine for me. It might have been a little tight with 2 persons. The stateroom was kept very clean and I really liked being on the 2nd deck. Ship Staff QualityAll the crew were very friendly, accommodating and very helpful. They could not have done anymore for me. Entertainment & ActivitiesThere were many activities to choose from on a daily basis. I was kept very busy and entertained throughout my cruise.

Cartagena, ColombiaI was a bit leary about this island; did not want to travel too far from the ship. I took a cruise around the area on a replica of a pirate ship and it was very informative and lasted only a few hours. Did not eat on the island
Cozumel, MexicoAt this point of the cruise, I was getting very tired because of the lack of sleep and fun every day. I just walked through the city and got to visit Margaritaville and bought some local crafts. It was a very enjoyable day.
George Town, Grand CaymanI really did not see much on Grand Cayman. I just visited a beach for a few hours, which was very nice. Did not try any restaurant
Colon, PanamaI took a tour of the Panama Canal, a walk through the rain forest and a boat ride down the Changron River. It was a very well guided tour; I recommend this to anyone.
Puerto Limon, Costa RicaI tried the zip-line through the rain forest. WOW. It was very terrifying but very exciting at the same time. It is not for everyone, but I just had to try it. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

  1st Cruise was Relaxing! by
Caren P. from Central Florida Sailing date: Mar 2009Pros: Entire process - The service was awesome! Cons: Other passengers, lots of impatient seniors. This ship had many activities. Even though my spouse and I did not utilize the activities, we had a relaxing and enjoyable time. No towel animals, just great old fashioned luxury and impeccable service from the staff. The passenger was always right, always aimed to please. Voice your concerns once, and they make it right! Ship QualityCleanliness was their virtue. Always promoting safety and health standards. Always saw maintenance staff making repairs, and others working, but still without hindering the passengers in any way. Dining/FoodWe never went hungry and the buffet had excellent sushi every night. When you were too exhausted to get cleaned up for dinner, it was a hard decision to make. Great food vs. Getting a Shower and sitting through a 2 hour, 5 course meal. Stateroom QualityBalcony and Concierge Service is a must if you like quiet breakfasts and time alone. We spent quite a lot of time in our room, adequate sizing and comfort. Don't think we can settle for less for our next cruise. Ship Staff QualityThey remembered our names. Entertainment & ActivitiesVariety of activities, shows, etc. I anticipated the daily news provided at turndown each evening. Children's ProgramsWe purposely took Celebrity X cruise for the older crowd. There were children/teenagers on this cruise, but they were well attended to at all times. Out of sight and out of range.

Cartagena, ColombiaSafer than what others thought.
Don't Miss: Just touring on your own - beach, look for a Churrasco Steak house! Cozumel, MexicoThis is a dont miss destination. Take a tour around the island in car or dune buggy, shopping and snorkel. CHEAP and beautiful! Fun, safe, clean and relaxing. But too much pressure from shops to get customers inside.
Don't Miss: Dune Buggy/Snorkel/Beach Combo tour! Drive around the island. George Town, Grand CaymanClean and simple port. Geared more towards the duty free shopping, jewelry, emeralds, name brand goods.
Don't Miss: Parasailing was nice here. Colon, PanamaYou must take a tour in this town to see the Panama Canal/Locks. Otherwise the city is so poor and dirty to take in on your own.
Don't Miss: Panama Canal and Train across the country Puerto Limon, Costa RicaPoverty is big here, town and markets are not very interesting. Take a small tour.
Don't Miss: Must take a tour or local taxi, otherwise is disappointing. 12 out of 12 people found this review helpful.

You get what you pay for -- and then som by
Mark from Vernon, CT Sailing date: Feb 2006Pros: Aqua Spa. Truly a terrific experience. If lots of fun, excitement and non-stop action is what you are looking for, this is not the cruise line or ship for you. But if you want top quality food, superb service, clean and well-appointed cabins and common areas, this really is for you. This ship provides a relaxing experience with top quality food, a wait staff that does everything to please. The Aqua Spa was our favorite. Excellent, pure and healthy lunch selections, with a relaxing spa and pool, then a tasty mid-day latte with dessert selections that are out of this world (not that sicky-sweet stuff, but smooth to-die-for quality) at the Cova Cafe, and then the best dining around at dinner. I mean this is what cruising is supposed to be -- relaxing and pampering at it's best. Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment: The Cirque du Soleil presentation was terrific considering it was on a moving stage. Otherwise entertainment was ok. 25 out of 29 people found this review helpful.

  Celebrity Constellation by
Terry from Kissimmee, FL Sailing date: Dec 2008Pros: Staff excellent, very clean, Captain visual and personable, food excellent Cons: Entertainment poor, coffee disgusting, smaller cabins than other ships A very good ship and well run, very disappointed with the entertainment both at night and during sea days. More for the elderly and NOT for the young. Recommend buffet for breakfast and lunch but dinner in the main dining room. The best customer service we have experienced. Cabins a bit on the small side especially when compared to Princess. Ship QualityVery well kept Stateroom QualityVery clean but small Ship Staff QualityThe best yet Entertainment & ActivitiesVery poor, shows bad, singers bad with exception of Carl Miller

  Everything was a problem by
A Traveler from New York, NY Sailing date: Jul 2012Pros: The AquaSpa Cons: The service; the smell of sewage in my room Our cabin literally smelled of sewage. We were told nothing could be done since the ship was full. So, we told them the accommodations were not habitable and we wanted a refund and would leave at the first port of call. Then, we were given another room, which was also an upgrade. Our dining was also a problem. They assigned us to early seating when it should have been late, and it was a fight to fix that. They also didn't have us booked for airport transfers even thought they were requested, and we had to fight to fix that too. There were several other little problems which would all take too long to list, but suffice it to say that they were a nightmare to work with.
Plus, the itinerary is poorly planned out. St Petersburg is a very poor choice for the overnight stay. There is very little there except for celebrity's overpriced, poorly planned excursions. Due to Russian visa controls, you can't leave the ship without a tour, and when you do see St Petersburg, it doesn't offer nearly as much as the other ports. Nearly everyone I spoke with was very underwhelmed with it. Ship QualityNothing special here, although the bathrooms in the cabins could be cleaner. Dining/FoodThe main restaurant was decent. The buffet was kind of bad, though. Stateroom QualityVery small, dirty bathroom, and the entire room may or may not smell of sewage. Ship Staff QualityIt was mixed. Sometimes we had good waiters, and sometimes they were slow. The slow ones were consistently slow. The worst was the service with the wine. The waiters won't bring you wine. You need a sommelier, and those guys tend to move at a glacial pace. One night we actually got through two courses before our sommelier came along and slammed a bottle of wine down on the table for us. The stateroom attendants weren't great. They would knock, then If you asked who it was, they would just open the door--regardless of whether you'll be in bed, getting changed, etc. 7 out of 13 people found this review helpful.
