Excellent cruise!!!
by Dimitry K from New York
Sailing date:
Aug 2012
Pros:
Food, staff, itinerary, service
Cons:
Ship decor
Read many reviews and was expecting an average cruise but ended up being pleasantly surprised. Sailed in many NCL's before and heard that Carnival was a step below, but was definitely not the case. Food was excellent in the dining room, and although breakfasts could have been better, everything else was great. Went to the steakhouse one night and it was an incredible experience for a cruise ship. Great appetizers and main course selection and an array of vintage wines to choose to Compliment the luscious steaks. In terns of itinerary my wife and I enjoyed St Thomas the most, as it it truly heaven on earth, but did not find much to do inPuerto Rico. Turks and Caicos was also a gorgeous stop and we did the Catamaran snorkeling there. While the snorkeling itself is not great at all, the Catamaran ride, private beach after and all you can drink made up for it. On the way back we went to 2 shows and they were excellent! Also, the lie music every night at Franky and Johnnnies is not to be missed. The swimming pools do get overcrowded so we spent a lot of our time at the serenity adults only pool which is a great feature on this ship. Overall, extremely happy with our vcation. Forgot to mention, we had an extended balcony room which wad excellent in size and was cleaned timely everyday by extremely attentive staff who greeted us by our names every day!

Ahhhh so relaxing
by KP from New York, NY
Sailing date:
Nov 2010
Pros:
Food
Cons:
We didn't dock in Turks due to the wind and was only credited for the port tax.
The ship was clean and well kept. The staff was great and so was the food. I'm upset that we didn't stop in Turks and there was only compensation for the port tax which was $21. I think that Carnival should have made other arrangements, such as arriving earlier at another port so that we could still had a day off the ship. The staff said that there has been previous times when the ship didn't stop at Turks due to the same wind problems. Given that info i think Carnival should do something better for their customers than a $21 tax credit.

IT WAS A GREAT CRUISE!
by JT & ET from Tinton Falls, NJ
Sailing date:
Jun 2010
Pros:
WE WERE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE ENTIRE CRUISE
Cons:
THERE WERE NO CONS
We were extremely pleased, and would highly recommend this CRUISE... We were trying to find a negative and couldn't find any, some may have felt we could have stayed in port a little longer, however, my husband and I were fine with it... We've cruised many times, however, this really was an AWESOME CRUISE... We were well taken care of... We would have to give it 5 STARS in every category... One suggestion: When requesting a Balcony stateroom, make sure that you inquire as to if there is any obstruction... This would have been our only downfall if we had not asked prior...

Entertainment & Activities
We just primarily relaxed, however, from child to adult, it seemed as though everyone enjoyed the Entertainment and Activities, because we enjoyed watching them...

A wonderful, fun-filled cruise
by Patricia R. from Marion, IA
Sailing date:
May 2009
Pros:
The many options for food, seating all around the ship, stores
Cons:
Photos being taken just as we were starting dinner every night
The ship was beautiful; the ways the theme was presented was phenominal. The dining room was really elegant and we had so much fun listening to the waiters/waittresses perform every evening at dinner. The spa was very relaxing and my husband got a massage that really helped his lower back.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Everything was very convenient and accessible; all areas were kept clean and ready for the next person or party of people. Shp size was very impressive.
Dining/Food
Excellent. The Supper Club was so magnificent; the sevice rceived was something we will always remember, and the price was very affordable!
Stateroom Quality
The shower could use a bar for holding on for stabilization. The condition of our stateroom was very clean and in good condition. The bed was not quite as comfortable as one would like.
Ship Staff Quality
Very cheerful, helpful, efficient and everyone was so polite.
Entertainment & Activities
The entertainment was absolutely fabulous; very professional and the variety of shows was just great!

Our 1st Cruise
by Lynn L from Cranford, NJ
Sailing date:
May 2009
Pros:
There was nothing to not like. Everyone was wonderful and friendly. The food was terrific and the staff could not be more helpful and friendly.
Cons:
The only thing I can think of is the smoking in the casino. We would have liked a non smoking casino. But everything else was great
The ship had everything you could think of. We had fun and really enjoyed the dancers and the shows. Your staff, Douglas and Percy, at our dinner made us feel like friends. We had a great time with them. Our steward, Joel, and his staff were excellent. They were helpful and kept our cabin so clean and neat. They answered all our questions and got what ever we needed. All in all we had a great time and can't wait to do another cruise.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Cruiseline Private Island)
This was the best stop. We had a blast in the water, which was so blue and clear and not waves. We could walk way out and we did. We had so much fun and we hated to leave.

Nassau, Bahamas
Nassau was nice but it rained in the morning and the sun did not come out until we left. We took the Discover Atlantis tour and were a little disappointed with the tunnel. It appears much bigger in their commercials. Things were extremely expensive for our taste.
Don't Miss:
If the sun is out, go to the pool

Kayaking through bioeluminenscent bay is a must---adults only and must be physically capable. But it is a must see. It does, however, take up most of your port time, so shop quick. Wish we had more time to sightsee, shop, and eat.

Bioeluminescent Bay.

Megan's Bay beautiful!!! This was our relaxing day at the beach...family time.

Swimming with the Dolphins Day! This port was short, and we were just fine with that (chickens and roosters running around seems a little disease prone). The dolphin swim was a must if you haven't done it before.

St. Thomas is beautiful. Laid on the beach all day.....excellent. Water was spectacular.
Tortola, British Virgin Islands
Tortola was nice, but expected more. Not much to see in the town. Island should be kept a little nicer. It was different but kinda nice. Weather was great.
