Ship Staff Quality Staff were so very friendly and willing to offer whatever to make our stay pleasant. Overall Rating: About the Reviewer: Age: 50 - 65 Cruise Experience: First cruise Traveler Type: Couple Stateroom Type: Inside Exceeded all Expectations by A Traveler from The Woodlands, Texas Sailing date: Aug 2009 Pros: The sit-down dining food and service were really spectacular Cons: The Stage shows were pretty lame The ship was cleaner and nicer than I expected. We bought a cheap cabin and it was really nice (small but nice). The public areas were expansive and again clean. Ship Details: Ship Quality really nice Dining/Food Probably the best feature of the cruise. My waiter was great and the food was top notch. I did not expect that level of quality Stateroom Quality Our attendant did a great job - could not ask for better. Ship Staff Quality Truly nice people. Entertainment & Activities We spent a lot of time in the casino listening to the band and dancing the night away - they were 4 really talented people. All of the lounge shows were really great! We were not too impressed with the stage shows - but we are pretty jaded at this point from traveling the world. We shopped and had a great time. I'd go back there in a minute. George Town, Grand Cayman Shopping is the attraction here. There is not much to see. We should have stayed right in the downtown area - it was great. Don't Miss: Jimmy Buffet's place was fun Montego Bay, Jamaica I don't like Jamaica. Cons: The shows onboard were so-so. We had a wonderful time on our honeymoon aboard the Carnival Conquest. We sailed from Galveston and went to Jamaica and the Grand Caymon. The staff and crew onboard the Conquest were awesome and the food was great too. Too many things to write! I recommend this cruise to anyone and everyone. I was very dissappointed that there was NO place to dance to standard dance music, and the only places that had music that was not at ear splitting levels were filled with either cigarette smoke or cigar smoke or both. I enjoyed being on this ship except for the sparcity of places to enjoy music. Also, there were no sports channels for American Sports... no bowl games televised.... No FOX news.... Ship Details: Ship Quality Dining/Food TMost of the food was excellent the exception being the Lido Deck food was always cold and unappealing Stateroom Quality Ship Staff Quality Entertainment & Activities Noise level of music in pool areas, lobby, earsplitting - not amenable to stiing and relaxing and enjoying a dance to standard dance music. We took a taxi on our own to a local beach. Great value, beautiful beach. Don't Miss: Beaches. George Town, Grand Cayman Don't miss the stingrays. Great excursion experience but had to wait in the heat for return transportation as the driver was late. The tour assembly area on disembarkation was somewhat disorganized. Don't Miss: Stingrays. For being our first cruise we were very satisfied with the excellent food, shows, activities and the port of calls that the Carnival Cruise line offered. Very satisfied with the Cabin Steward in keeping the cleaned and ready for us all the time. Enjoyed new friends on the cruise and enjoyed talking to the different very friendly and ready to serve staff. Ship Details: Entertainment & Activities Activities: Lots to do and planned well. Envolve everyone if one want to participate, fitness area excellent and great knowlegdable staff. Entertainment: Show were excellent, we did not miss any of them. Great show and great variety. Caves are a unique experience and beautiful. Don't Miss: Beaches and caves. George Town, Grand Cayman Swim with the sting rays. Quite an experience. Anyone can do it. Don't Miss: Sting rays and snorkeling. Montego Bay, Jamaica Zipline in the jungle. My first experience ziplining. I loved it even when it started to rain. Very safe and well organized.
