A lot of Fun by
Keisha M from Boston, MA Sailing date: Mar 2009Pros: Activities, Karaoke, Food Cons: no clocks, or bulletins posted with daily activities, hard to get a waiter for a drink This ship was beautiful, a little smaller than the last cruise but still very nice. Although we had a track, couldn't use it because others were tanning with lounge chairs on it - which on this cruise was hard to find a chair being spring break time. The food was excellent, enjoyed 24hr pizza/ice cream! Never a lack of activities, shows were very packed, some people standing and making it difficult to see the event but was still good, maybe need side screen monitors for those having trouble seeing stage for the future. The love and marriage show was great but would like to see a singles dating show or a way for singles to meet. The singles night was packed with spring breakers and not age appropriate for me (31). Overall, I had a great time in karaoke, drinks were very good, other cruisers and staff were very friendly! Ship Qualityneed more clocks and postings on each deck/elevator for daily activites. Dining/Food

Entertainment & ActivitiesWould like more singles activities and access to walking track/meeting group for walking or exercise (like mall walking)

Cozumel, MexicoBeaches were not impressive, did enjoy Carlos and Charlie lounge/bar/restaurant, beach was very far (15 min driving), skeptical about not going there thru cruiseline, did not want to spend 4-7 hrs tours, just beach and shopping. Did buy some very good Tequila!!
Don't Miss: Carlos and Charlie, Senor Frog, Tequileria with 200 varieties Key West, FloridaWish we had more time here, shopping was great, people were very friendly and not pushy with sales. If I knew the shopping would be so good, would have packed less, tops and bottoms $5-$10, bought dresses for $15 - nice clothing.
Don't Miss: shopping 5 out of 5 people found this review helpful.

  Carnival Imagination: Disappointing by
Pam E. from Indianapolis, IN Sailing date: Nov 2010Pros: The ship (Imagination) was very clean. Cons: Weak entertainment and activities What a mistake to select Carnival's Imagination as the one to introduce my friends to cruising. Over the last ten years, I have cruised at least 15 times, short and long cruises on several of the major cruise lines, including Carnival. Carnival employees greeting us at the airport made a poor first impression. They were less than enthusiastic, acting tired and uninterested in us. Once on the boat, we had no hair dryers and only one electrical outlet per cabin. In one of our cabins, the phone didn't work, and room service was a no show each time we tried. The major show of singers and dancers was no better than a Kings Island show; the male-female leads were overweight, and one dancer had a hole in her fishnet stockings. Two comedians were on board. One was good; the other SCREAMED about how beating children was the correct way to discipline them. One night there was no entertainment to be found other than music in the lounges.
At the meet-the-captian formal event, drinks were a $1 off. On every other cruise I've sailed, drinks were complimentary and appetizers were served. Also, there were no perks for being a return Carnival guest. On other ships that is not the case. We booked a South Miami Shore excursion for the day we disembarked. Our arrival at the airport for our 3 p.m. flight was guaranteed. However, the excursion bus was late at two stops. I asked the tour operator for his name and phone number, and he refused to give it to me.
We were dropped off, late, at the wrong terminal and had to rush to make our flight. Not a good way to end a vacation. Ship Quality

Cozumel, MexicoDue to a storm, our excursion here was cancelled. The rain and wind kept us restricted to the shops by the dock. Jose Frogs charged $14 for a single margarita, $7 for a coke.
Key West, FloridaMore time in Key West would have been good.

  I am going again... by
Mark from San Diego, CA Sailing date: Apr 2007Pros: The Crew Members, the best feature is the energy and activity level. In short, I had a wonderful time. The staff were always available and wanting to ensure everyone had a great time. The food was wonderful. I ended up eating pretty much only the scheduled dinner because they fed us so well, I wasn't hungry until dinner. The ports of call were great... but I wish we had more time. The activities were numerous.. I walked into "the Hairiest Chest" contest and ended up winning second prize. The value was exceptional for what we got and the fun never ended. My only word of advice to other Cruise takers is this: Always wear sunscreen, nap as often as you can, and plan on having enough fun in 5 days to fill two weeks!! Entertainment & ActivitiesActivities: I enjoyed the Gym, the Spa and participated in numerous scheduled activities including the Karaoke.

George Town, Grand CaymanGrand Cayman.
Snuba was awesome. Not enough time to see everything and do everything, but had a great meal and enjoyed the people immensely. One day is just not enough.
Ocho Rios, JamaicaJamaica.
Great time... went to Mahogany Beach. Drank, ate, got a massage, shopped... saw the Fern Gully... it was phenomenal.
Don't Miss: Wray and Nephew Overproof Rum and Pineapple Juice. I am now a convert. 5 out of 6 people found this review helpful.

  Awesome Cruise! by
A Traveler from Ashville, OH Sailing date: Apr 2012Pros: Most of the staff were very friendly, the food was really good and something for everyone! Cons: The debarkation process could use a little improvement. Early flights should be permitted to exit first instead of releasing people by the deck they "lived" on for the cruise. We missed our 11:40am flight home because we were not permitted to get off the ship until 10:30am. We docked in the port of Miami at 8am and by the time port authority cleared us to exit the ship it was 9:30am. They release people to exit based on the deck they were "living" on for the weekend. We were on the last floor to be released even though we had what was considered an early flight. We brought this to the attention of the cruise director several times and he assured us that we would have plenty of time to make our flight. We booked our flight and cruise at the same time to help prevent an issue like this, thinking that we surely wouldn't be booked on a flight we couldn't make. By the time we cleared customs and made it to the airport it was 11:25am. Ship Quality

Cozumel, MexicoAmazing secret river is GREAT!
Key West, FloridaMy 12-year old enjoyed a lot on para-sailing. The glass bottom boat gets almost everyone dizzy and uncomfortable during the last half of the tour. The guide is VERY knowledgeable about fish and coral, however, everyone was struggling with dizzy or comforting others while he was talking.

3 DayCanival Imagination Cruise Bahama's by
Jeff O from St Louis, MO Sailing date: Mar 2010Pros: Staying in the Bahamas all day and all night Cons: Balcony too small not worth extra $$$ Cabin Stewards were great. Couldn't ask for better service. Dinning was ok, getting drink service was terrible in the dinning area. Even got a warm bottle of wine that should have been chilled, and they did not refund or replace. We had to put ice in to chill. Balcony was way too small and not worth the extra dollars. I have been on a few cruises Carnival Destiny and Holland America Osterdam and both were much better ships. I will be much more careful on ship selection in the future. Would recommend having a DJ on the top deck vs. limited capacity club area. Ship QualityI prefer a bigger ship with a bigger adult area. Dining/FoodFood was good. Was given anything we wanted unlimited. Food was generally really good. Stateroom QualityBalcony was way too small. Couldn't set comfortably at all. Could barely squeeze between rail and chairs and had to move furniture to open and close the door. Otherwise the room was great. Comfortable bed and pillows. Clean. Bathroom was even better than other ships. Toilet position was better. Ship Staff QualityRoom Steward were great. Dinning staff seemed to have too many tables and guests to service. Drink staff were not the best. Came upon seating and never seen again. Entertainment & ActivitiesHad a great time. They try to keep everyone engaged. 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

  Crusing on Carnivall Imagination by
Bridget K from Chicago, IL Sailing date: Dec 2009Pros: The food options Cons: The smell of the ship and rude staff My overall review was this was a family ship and outdated. It was probably the best in the 80s. Ship QualityThere was a strong smell of cigarettes and kitchen that actually made my stomach hurt. Dining/FoodThe food was great! They had many choices and offered food 24 hours a day. Stateroom QualityThe room was great for the price. Ship Staff QualityStaff has poor attitudes and are rude to guests. I had people often rolling their eyes at me. This was not something I expected while on vacation. Entertainment & ActivitiesThere were a lot of activities. 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

We hardly waited in line at the buffetts. The shows were very exciting and done as well as some of the Broadway shows we have seen. The excusions were great for all different activity types. Cozumel, MexicoThe rock tower climbing and zip line were great, the snorkeling is fantastic. Many stores and bars to see. Such a great change since 20 years ago.
Don't Miss: Snorkeling Key West, FloridaI love riding the scooters. "the World Famous Conch Train" was very interesting and a good way to see Key West. The guides are all different but have their own unique personalities. Of course the Key Lime Pie is the best.
