  Very enjoyable cruise by
Judy P from Westchester NY Sailing date: Feb 2012Pros: The food was much better than I was expecting and shows and events were entertaining. Our suite was fabulous. Service was excellent, all the employees were friendly and courteous. Cons: Nothing really. Everything was better than I expected. Had heard that Carnival cruises were not that great, but pretty much everything was wonderful. I live in NY and go to many fine restaurants and the food was consistently very very good and creative, considering the number of meals they have to serve. The staff was very friendly and courteous through out the ship. Suite was really nice and spacious with granite throughout room and bathroom.
My teenage son had a good time on the O2 club also. Very impressed as a first time cruiser. Ship QualityWas constantly being cleaned! Dining/Food

  A great cruise by
Anita N. from Huntingdon, PA Sailing date: Feb 2012Pros: I liked everything, especially the food Cons: Waiting to get off, though I know there is not much that can be done about that; it was very efficient once the process started. Beautiful ship, I couldn't get over the size of it. Captain very good at his job. The crew all very friendly as well as the passengers. I enjoyed the excursions. I was disappointed the one excursion had to be cancelled due to the high winds, but was very satistified with the alternative I picked. Needed more time for some of the time onshore, but I guess I have to take another cruise for that! Ship Quality
Dining/FoodDelicious food, many choices for food, times of eating. Stateroom QualityI liked my stateroom and its location. It was accessible to most of the activities. It took me a while to remember how to get to it by the shortest route. It was handy at night as the activity was on the same deck as the room. I was on Deck 1. I shared the room with my daughter and we had enough space. Ship Staff Quality

  Best vacation ever!!! by
Jess S. from Sharon, Pa Sailing date: Sep 2011Pros: People waiting on me hand and foot, 24/7 Cons: That the comedians were in the butterfly lounge. They should of been in the taj mahal The cruise was so much fun. I didn't have 2 lift a finger. All the people working the ship were so nice, the never got an attitude, they were always smiling. The dhip itself was so beautiful, the pictures I took do the ship no justice at all Ship QualityThe guy cleaning our room even cleaned the hair out of my brush. He is dedicated. Dining/FoodO actually became friends with my waiter, and the girl delivering sodas. We even exchanged emails Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityEveryone on the ship went above and beyond Entertainment & ActivitiesYou will never be bored. There is something to do at all times Children's Programs

  TERRIFIC Vacation!!! by
Sonya T from Salisbury, MD Sailing date: Mar 2011Pros: The entire experience was wonderful. Great waiter and waitress. Super cabin steward. The food was excellent. Camp canival was great!!! Cons: Only 7 days and had to go back to reality Everything was clean, people always with a rag and cleaner in hand. Stewards in the halls, keeping everything tidy. The ship was beautiful and family friendly. Something for everyone. Leaving from Baltimore a BIG plus.. Ship QualityLoved the layout. Placement of Elevators and the stairs made it easy to get from place to place. Someone always available to keep things spic and span. Dining/FoodThe variety and quality of the food was great for all. You never went hungry.. And if you couldn't find something to eat that you liked...It wasn't for the lack of variety and food available round the clock..somewhere 24hr room service GREAT!! Stateroom QualityWe had room with extended balcony. Loved it!!! Being able to see the water from our room was beautiful. The location of the room was great for us. Easy access wherever we needed to go. Ship Staff QualityWe had a question one evening. Called guest services, they said they would get back to me. They left a message, then when we were down for the captain's party a representative came up to us and let us know what we had asked about. They knew us out of the many cruisers. Very detail oriented. Entertainment & ActivitiesLots to choose from to do. Nice variety. Children's ProgramsStaff was very nice and made our child and us comfortable. She LOVED the 10pm-midnight dances. Thanks so....much for the peace of mind. Our children our our precious gift, thank you for helping with making her vacation (in her words) "Thank you Carnival for the best vacation of my life". 9 out of 10 people found this review helpful.

  Great Cruise! by
A Traveler from Maryland Sailing date: Jan 2011Pros: The Ships Staff Cons: Not Long Enough From start to finish we had a wonderful time. From the organization of boarding the ship to debarkation upon our return to Baltimore. The ship (Carnival Pride) was clean and well maintained for a 10 year old vessel. This was our third cruise with Carnival and can't say enough positive about our overall experience. Ship Quality
Dining/Food
Stateroom Qualitysize, decor, amenities and overall comfort were good. My only complaint was the previous guests had obviously been smoking in the room. Everything **reaked** of stale cigarette smoke which was extrememly offensive. We opted not to make an issue of it since we usually don't spend that much time in our room during a cruise. By day three it wasn't so noticeable. Ship Staff Quality

Freeport, Grand Bahama Islandenjoyed the little shops at the pier. Especially the live band and the bar 100 feet from the ship. Very enjoyable.
Nassau, BahamasShopping is good. The locals who are selling their products are extremely pushy though.
Port Canaveral, FloridaWe didn't go on any excursions. Family who live in Florida picked us up to spend the day.

  Vacation of a lifetime! by
Loren and Bev D. from Lawrence, KS Sailing date: Oct 2010Pros: The excellent customer service (and the food!!) Cons: Waiting in line to get onto the ship. It was beautiful and luxurious. It was beautifully maintained--everything was spotless. We loved all of the artwork. The staterooms were very comfortable and more spacious than we were expecting. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodFood was beautifully presented. Ambiance a bit on the loud side--a little hard to hear others at the table (in the Normandie dining room). Singing of the waiters was comical but wish "Happy Birthday" singers could've sung on pitch! Stateroom QualityEnjoyed very much. Loved the towel animals. Ship Staff QualityVery impressed with service. Was definitely above and beyond expectations. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe shows were really great, but some of the events were a little too late for us oldsters who need to get to bed a bit earlier.
Collapse List of Ports
Nassau, BahamasWe took a taxi tour of the island with a very interesting cab driver and felt we saw the "real" side of Nassau--from luxury to poverty. Sad to see how terribly poor many of the people are.
Port Canaveral, FloridaWe enjoyed the Universal Studios--esp. since Loren worked in the film industry.
Don't Miss: Depends on one's interests. 10 out of 11 people found this review helpful.

  Had a great time by
Jim L from Boonsboro, Md Sailing date: Mar 2010Pros: The food was great as was the friendly service Cons: The one day of rough weather, no fault of Carnival The Pride is a beautiful ship and a large one. We sailed out of Baltimore and it just squeezed under the bay bridge with maybe 10 feet to spare. Ship QualityThe ship is large but was esay for us to get around and quick if we wanted too. It is kept quite clean. Dining/FoodThe food was great. Our favorite restaurant was the Normandie where we ate Breakfast and Dinner. We had lunch at the buffet and the food there was real good also.
The all you can eat whenever you want, soft ice cream was also a plus. Stateroom QualityOur room was comfortable, clean, and of good size, we never felt cramped. Ship Staff QualityWe found all the staff to be real friendly, especially our room steward and headwaiter.
My parents were in a room next to us and I asked if the divider between our balconies could be opened, which they gladly did. Entertainment & ActivitiesThere was a good variety of entertainment. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  First time cruiser by
Rachel C. from Detroit, MI Sailing date: Mar 2010Pros: All the different activities available on the ship. This was my first cruise. I thought I had an idea of what to expect but I was amazed at the comfort and elegance of the ship. The Carnival Pride was a very clean and well organized vessel. The staff was very nice and did a wonderful job accommodating our needs. The food was excellent. I had only two times when my meat(Steak and Chicken) was undercooked. The waiter corrected the problem immediately and there was not much delay in getting my meal. The entertainment was also very good. The musicians put on a first rate show. They even had a magician. I have seen commercials advertising the Carnival ships but I did not know how large the ship truly was. The design of the ship was magnificent. My husband had only one complaint . He believes you should be allowed to bring on your own liquor. You should not be limited to buying the ships liquor. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodI had two times when my food was undercooked. My steak was rare when i asked for well done and my chicken was served undercooked. Stateroom Qualitymore comfortable than I expected. Ship Staff QualityEven though English was clearly not their first language, the staff did a wonderful job. Entertainment & Activities
