We had a ball by
A Traveler from Gloucester, VA Sailing date: Feb 2012Pros: The food - it was A#1. I was never disappointed. Cons: The library was taken up by a group almost the whole cruise. Don't they have meeting rooms? The ship itself was average, but the crew was great and the food superb. The customer service desk always had the information we needed. Ship Quality

Stateroom QualityWe were shown 2 single beds online, but had a single bed and a bunk (we are 60+). They did remedy this for us, however. Ship Staff Quality

1st time with Carnival, past cruiser by
A Traveler from Arkansas Sailing date: Feb 2012Pros: Great ship with lots of actvities and food! Cons: Days at sea. Will always be sure to have more than 1 port and as few days at sea as possible Very clean and modern. Beautiful! Crew was wonderful! Ship QualityIt was hard to get the layout. Wish there were better signs. The light up signs faded and made it hard to read. Very clean! It was hard to navigate because only 1 deck went all the way across. Dining/FoodFood was good. I wish the sushi bar was open more instead of right when we were already eating dinner. also wish there was a 24 hour dessert bar or at least from4-midnight. Stateroom QualityVery nice and roomie! Ship Staff QualityOur servers and housekeepers were wonderful!!!!!! Entertainment & ActivitiesThe comedians were not very funny. Karaoke was great with the live band!!! Mo was funny! the cruise director was annoying and seemed too old! Wish there were more family friendly/ non-dirty adult activities. More funny comedians, NewlyWed Game, Battle of the Sexes, etc. 0 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

  "Lack-luster cruise" by
Brittany H from Nashville, TN Sailing date: Jan 2012Pros: The ports had many fun and reasonably priced activities located outside of the ship. Cons: The customer service on board was horrible. Overall, we were disappointment by this trip. The ship was outdated and poorly kept up. The staff was unfriendly and made everyone feel like they were in trouble. I have been on two other cruises before and had never had a poor experience like this. We have decided to either cruise with a different cruise line or try an all inclusive resort for next years trip. Ship QualityThe ship was smaller and outdated compared to others I have been on. The hottubs were always luke warm. When requesting several times to increase the temperature, we were told to ask "so and so" the next day, which turned into a while goose chase. Dining/FoodThe food at the buffett was not good. Old baked goods, wilted veggies, and fruit that was too ripe to eat. The food was often times not prepared at the right temperater. I tried the potatoes a couple times to find them crunch and ordered a medium rare stake that came out well, well done. Overall, the food tasted like it had either been stored for way to long or not long enough. Stateroom QualityWhen I had booked the cruise, we were told that we would be in a suite with 2 lower beds, 1 upper bed, a pull out couch and a rollaway for me and my four friends. We were placed in a room that not only didn't fit that description at all, but were given a childs size roll away. In addition, we were only given two robes, two bath towels, and 4 beach towels. Each time we asked for more towels for the 5 of us, they would sneer at us. Ship Staff QualityThe ship staff was not friendly at all. Unless we were ordering alcohol, the staff was extremely short with us. After a hot and busy day in cozumel, we asked for five glasses of water and were sneered at. In addition, the casino staff did there best to make everyone feel uncomfortable. The ship "security" make everyone feel like they were in trouble. We went to the "night club" one night and they made everyone feel so uncomfortable that nobody was dancing. Not the "fun ship" that they advertise. The only friendly service we recieved was from our head server in the evening dining. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe comedy shows were excellent. There was always a variety of fun activities to take part in. 2 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

Cozumel, MexicoWe went on a jeep excursion to a light house and did some snorkeling. It was a great value and the snorkeling was fantastic.
Don't Miss: Snorkeling was great!! Bring a underwater camera. Progreso (Merida), MexicoWe did the $3 double decker tour of the town, enjoyed the cheap drinks, had a great massage on the beach for $15. It was just a nice relaxing day. Could have lived without all the vendors approaching us but just say no thank you and they leave.
Don't Miss: Massage on the beach. 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

Cozumel, Mexicowe did an all inclusive resort, decent beach, nice resort and bartender
Progreso (Merida), Mexicowould not suggest progreso but we did do an excursion not through the cruise, very inexpensive. Once we got to the port we jus got off the ship and there are several groups doing them. You can also negotiate the price.

  Tons of fun by
Shannon D from Jemison, AL Sailing date: Sep 2011Pros: Planned activities you could go to or NOT go to. Cons: The smokey casino but I guess that is expected The ship was beutiful and well kept. Ship QualityIt was beutiful and a lot of fun to explore Dining/FoodMore food than you could ever try. If you didn't like something all you had to do was say "Bring me something else" and it was yours. Stateroom QualityDecor seemed a little out of date but over all it was just fine Ship Staff QualityFriendliness is not even the right word for how wonderful the staff teated eveyone. They will do any thing and everything for you. All you have to do is ask. Entertainment & ActivitiesGreat entertainment. You could be as involved as you want or as low key and you would like.
