Fun Cruise
by Debbie from Orlando
Sailing date:
Dec 2012
Pros:
Friendly staff
Cons:
Food variety
I recently cruised on the ship Ecstasy with my family and it was a great time. The only complaint was that there was only one pool and it was always crowded.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The ship was clean the staff was always cleaning the decor just needs updating.
Dining/Food
I liked the your time dinning and the staff was great. Just wish there was more variety on the menu.
Stateroom Quality
My stateroom was clean and comfortable just could have been a tad bigger and better decor.
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & Activities
The performers were great but the shows were a bit boring.

Pros:
Very clean
Cons:
Boring
Compared to other two cruises I've been on this was my least favorite one. The restaurant staff did not look very happy but was very aggressive when trying to sell alcohol. The pool was the size of a bigger bath tub and always packed with children - not sure why they even bother mentioning it. Cabin staff was nice and the rooms and other areas were clean. The food good but fairly limited in variety.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Very retro decor. Aging ship. Very clean tho.
Dining/Food
Good food. Not too much variety. Very aggressive wait staff.
Stateroom Quality
Very clean.
Ship Staff Quality
Cabin, spa, and other staff were good, but I am still bothered how aggressive the restaurant staff was. For example, when asked for a glass of wine, they tried to sell a bottle, which is OK if you politely deny, but then they ask again in a very commanding tone, and again, and again... The staff did not really look happy. They were professional, but tired and overworked.
Entertainment & Activities
The entertainment was high quality but very limited. There is a lot of down time on a four night cruise. Yes, I wanted downtime where I could relax at the pool or somewhere else, but the pool was tiny and packed with children. Serenity area was a nice touch if it wasn't packed 24/7 and had only two hot tubs.

not my style of vacation
by A Traveler from Michigan
Sailing date:
Oct 2012
Pros:
the staff was great!
Cons:
way too many people, not enough for everyone to do
It seemed like it was just about drinking. I like to have a few drinks but thats all there was to do. The shows were all very short and very crowded. The pool was ectremely small and packed all the time. The food was okay but any buffet serves better quality.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
the ship was outdated and way too small for the amount of people.
Dining/Food
We went to the dinning room twice, it took 2 hours and they served the same food as the buffet had. Also our table sat 12 people but was sized to seat 8 comfortably
Stateroom Quality
The room was great, glad we paid the extra to upgrade to a balcony but the bed was hard
Ship Staff Quality
staff was great
Entertainment & Activities
The showes were very short and overcrowded

Nice cruise
by A Traveler from Newaygo, MI
Sailing date:
Sep 2012
Pros:
the excursions
Cons:
alcohol being served everywhere!
This was my second cruise, with the other being Holland America. This cruise with Carnival was cheaper, but I didn't feel this was the same quality. I took my 16 year old daughter. I knew alcohol would be served, but didn't realize it would be offered everywhere you went. The food was goo. I was looking forward to the exercise classes, but only 2 free were offered. It was fine for the price, but I wouldn't go with this line again.

Wonderful cruise
by Amy P. from Reidsville, NC
Sailing date:
Sep 2012
Pros:
The service was fantasic!
Cons:
Having to tell waitstaff not to clear my plate while dining on Lido deck resturants.
This was the most relaxing vacation that I have ever had. I didn't want for anything. The shows were good and entertaining, staff was great and ports were beautiful. I am already planning my next one.

Cons:
Bad food, rude employees
The ship was clean and rooms are nice sized or a cruise

Dining/Food
Exact same menu as our cruise the year before. Most seafood dishes were ok, but all the beef dishes seemed to be the same very tough meat in different sauces. The best dessert was the cake we bought to celebrate my moms birthday.
Stateroom Quality
Good size, clean, beds were only ok
Ship Staff Quality
Most were friendly and helpful, our room porter was non existent. After introducing himself the first night, we never saw him again and several times he was a no show
Entertainment & Activities
Much better than our last Carnival cruise

Nice cruise for money
by A Traveler from Indianapolis, IN
Sailing date:
Sep 2012
Pros:
Ship cleanliness, fellow passenger friendliness, comedy club, sushi bar
Cons:
Lack of art work throughout the ship, lack of activities
We are experienced cruisers--over 15 cruises on all the major cruise lines. I like the smaller, classic ships, but my husband prefers the larger, mega ships which provide more activities. There were times on this smaller ship when there was nothing to do, making our 5-day trip seem like it was long enough. We were disappointed that at the captain's welcome party, drinks were no longer complimentary.

A delightful cruise
by A Traveler from New York. New York.
Sailing date:
Aug 2012
Pros:
The barbeque at Half Moon Cay
Cons:
Having to take photographs all the while.
The ship obviously was not a large one . Its max. being 2052 passengers but it was kept very clean. Everywhere one could see an employee polishing or sweeping. Also, the amenities on board was suitable to the ship's size

George who took care of our cabin on the Main Deck went above and beyond . My son was delighted with the towel figures he made and he was always welcoming and ready to be of help
Entertainment & Activities
The shows were a bit of a disappointment.

wonder cruise but bring a lot of money
by Renee D from Michigan
Sailing date:
Aug 2012
Pros:
room service was excellent and waitstaff very accomidating
Cons:
food was horrible
over all the trip was amazing our low points were the food and prices for drinks if you drink alcohol bring enough money to spend on it !!!! Also make sure you have about 100$ for taxi rides to the beach because its 25$ per person each way. the workers on the ship were amazing, they do what ever to make sure your trip is as carefree as possible. jacuzzi's were closed and the pool was loaded with kids running wild
